  3. I know most of you on this site aren't Drum and Bass listeners but DJ Rap is "oh so fine." There wouldn't be any hestitation from me whatsoever.
  4. Hey Billy what's up? Are you gonna put NEXO in Red and hit South Beach with the one, two punch of having the best sound systems?? Give me a shout.
  5. Yup. Festivalcre8or.com has been contacted to redesign the audio for Billboard Live. NEXO is full effect!!!! Terry Mac
  6. Hey Pod. I read the thread about the Sasha and Digweed show. It's seems that this will be a tour that's being put together by Clear Channel Entertainment. I talked to the Production Manager and he was asking me about Phazon vs. NEXO. My guys in Detroit are in line to do the gig with 36 stacks and 24 subs of NEXO Alpha, ALL IN THE ROUND!!! There's no way in hell that a Phazon rig can come close to that. Anyway, I heard that the show is suppose to be on the same day as ULTRA4, March 23. Jimmy Van M is supposed to be calling me about the NEXO PA so if I get any other info, I'll fill u in. Terry Mac PS. Peep the website for my latest project http://www.shutdownproductions.com
  7. That's what I'm saying. South Florida is so versitile. We can do quality gigs i n the day and at night. Now you tell me which scene kicks ass??? Quite frankly I get sick of hearing that NYC is so much better than Miami. Prove it is what I say.
  8. I agree with you bro. What makes NYC so much better than Miami?? You know at the previous ULTRA, I was expecting alot more from the TWILO tent but in my opinion they got housed by Gatecrasher. Come on Pod. Which area had the most energy??
  9. DJ MODA from San Fran is awesome. DJ Hope from DC is killer too. There's also a guy named Ben Richards in Orlando that plays some killer Hard House and UK Nu Energy. Thing is, is Miami ready for something new and fresh??
  10. Of coarse there's family discounts. Just keep checking http://www.ultramusicfestival.com for the presale tickets.
  11. I've heard a few names but I can't comment on it yet. The lineup should be released in mid to late January.
  12. Lately I've been up all night every night designing a new event that will take South Florida by storm. BEYOND 2002 will feature Paintball competitions, Extreme Sports presentations such as Moto X Thrill Jumps, a 70 foot Ski Jump into Biscayne Bay, BMX, Skateboard and Inline Skating from some of the best in the world and last but not least, 13 hours a day of nonstop Hip Hop, Alternative and Electronic Music. BEYOND 2002 will feature several number one recording artists that will be posted on the website, http://www.shutdownproductions.com very soon. Acts so big that it's tough for me to sit here and not tell you. So get ready for Spring Break 2002 like you've never witnessed before. Over 500,000 watts of PURE NEXO POWER will take over Bicentennial Park and we show the world how to bridge the gap between Extreme Sports and Music. JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT YOU COULD REST, HERE COMES BEYOND 2002.
  13. I'd just like to change gears here and get everyone revved uo for another amazing kickoff to WMC week. ULTRA4 will have many surprises and we look forward to feeling the energy that you, the South Florida nightclub scene, provide ULTRA events. I can't even describe what it feels like standing onstage and watching thousands and thousands of you all have the best time of your life. I know that's why I enjoy doing ULTRA events. In recent conversations on this messageboard there were quotes about loyalty. It's so refreshing to see how you all keep coming back for more ULTRA and bringing friends to join the movement. ULTRA events are bigger than any one individual and the team that puts it all together all work for one common goal. That is to be the best event in the world and you can bet that ULTRA4 will be nothing less. Looking forward to seeing all of you on March 23, 2002
  14. Those are some very harsh words about the 18+ crowd. There's plenty of times that I was standing in a 21+ club and watched so many pills be consumed. Don't blame it all on the kids bro.
  15. I tried to delete the other post but I couldn't. I made this a new post and somehow ended up on another thread.

  17. I think the big reason most DnB kids are like that is because they don't want to see DnB get watered down like House and Trance did. Although there are some really hard DnB tracks, I can understand why the general clubbing public in Miami isn't into some kickin Jump Up. For 2 years I heard alot of people complaining about ULTRA not having more DnB besides LTJ Bukem and Roni Size. At ULTRA3 I pushed the top brass to put Bad Company on the main stage, at the peak of the night, at the place blew up like crazy. Ever since then DnB has really made a huge impact in the "RAVE" scene. SPACE or LEVEL should really experiment with DnB and UKG - 2 Step because both clubs have a great Hip Hop room.
  18. It's funny you should mention this Pod because Miami has been known for BASS. I think the main reason why DnB hasn't reached the club scene is because there isn't a club down here that has the system for it, except Liquid. Most DnB "purists" have some type of attraction to Hip Hop and Breaks thus seeing the ages that are into DnB in Miami. If you have time to come up to CANDYLAND 6 @ Orbit on Dec 22, I can give you a taste of what DnB is all about. Let me know, you know you're always on my list.
  19. 21 and over is the biggest thing that stops us from going back to the beach. There's no way we would alieanate those people who are under 21. They helped make ULTRA what it is today. Bayfront Park is perfect for the event. Now that they've torn out all of the interior fencing, the park open up alot. I also think alot of people appreciated having grass at the last event.
  20. It's actually a 50/50 split on this topic. Alot of people like bouncing from stage to stage to catch a killer DJ playing. Longer sets could be alright but you have to remember that ULTRA isn't a nightclub. I personally think it's more challenging for a DJ to spin a shorter set. When the lineup is chosen for ULTRA events every DJ is put in a slot where we think they'd be most effective. So instead of one guy playing a 3-4 hour set, 2 DJ's would split that time and keep the crowd at it's peak. I think DJ sets will be 1-1/2 hours at ULTRA4. There may be a few sets that are longer but I would expect 1-1/2 hours.
  21. It's really tough to do because you have to have permission from the City Commission to go past 1am. It's actually great to end at 1am because we can get out of there at a decent hour after everything is broken down. Also, by starting early, it would be an extremely long day for everyone working the event. So get there early.
  22. In my recent conversation with Alex Omes from D'Vox Magazine, he told me that he wanted ULTRA4 to be bigger and better than the past 3 events. So what I've come up with is unveiling 2 new audio systems and the most extensive lasershow that South Florida has ever witnessed. We're in testing mode right now and will be in full affect when March 2002 rolls around. There are more goodies that will happen but it would spoil the surprise if I told. Just when you thought the last ULTRA was the shit, here comes another.
  23. I'm so glad someone brought this up. I always thought that the VIP was supposed to be hard to get into. There are several clubs in town where the VIP isn't even full and they keep adding and adding more VIP. What about the average, everyday Joe who works 8-5 and wants to spend a couple hundred bucks chilling and listening to good music? These people can't enjoy the clubs because there's no room due to OVERLYEXPANDED VIP rooms. I mean come on. What happen to large dancefloors??? Also, hey Pod. Get ready for a WMC full of Progressive Breakbeats.
  24. Hey I here DC is the shiznit too. Check out this lineup at Buzz for Dec 27: THURSDAY, DECEMBER 27, 2001: BUZZLIFE PRODUCTIONS presents SASHA Doors open early < set times TBA || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || SASHA JIMMY VAN M LEE BURRIDGE
  25. What would make your clubbing experience more enjoyable? There seems to be alot of "not treating the clubbing public right." Miami should be the MEKKA for nightclubs and Dance Music, but it's still not there yet. How can this be changed?? 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
