  1. I'd personally like to thank each and every person who attended ULTRA 8 at Bicentennial Park in March 2006. We at ULTRA Music Festival strive to bring YOU the electronic music fans the best event every year. In an effort to keep YOU the fans happy and coming back, I'd like to ask you for your help in making the festival even better. Please send me 5 main things that you would like to see implemented or changed with ULTRA 9. Please send all replies to info@festivalcre8or.com As always, thank you for your support and we'll see you March 24, 2007 for the 9th installment of ULTRA Music Festival
  2. Next weekend the second edition of ULTRA NY takes place in Central Park on Friday, September 22, 2006. That gives you time to fly up to NY and check out ULTRA NY, go to Crobar for the after party and then hop on a plane back to South Florida. Check the link for event info and ticket purchase: https://www.ultranewyork.com/ Also check out airfares at JetBlue Airways
  3. I was wondering if you could be a little more specific about the "self analyzing crossovers, special amplifiers and processors." Are all of these going to be built by EV/Dynacord?
  4. 11am at Bicentennial Park. That's the park next to American Airlines Arena between 11th and 10th on Biscayne Blvd
  5. Yeah with the festival moving to Bicentennial Park this year, it gives us alot of breathing room to get more creative for the people who enjoy the event. There will also be alot of surprises at this years event.
  6. I can remember a Crobar gig a few months back that I did some laser work at. Donald Glaude was spinning. His set started out with some of the regular boring South Beach house music and then he started to progress into some harder and techier house music. As I recall the place went nuts everytime he dropped a harder track. This whole thing with Miami and deep house has gone on for years but there are alot of great DJ's that don't spin in Miami because the crowd is isn't very open-minded when it comes to music. Take Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson and Juan Atkins for example. These guys are killer DJ's yet never get booked in Miami. Why?? Because Miami hasn't been exposed to the type of music that they play. I saw Derrick May play a smoking set in LA 2 years ago and the place was out of control. Maybe it's time that the Miami club scene start to spread it's wings a little. Electronic Dance Music is more than Deep House and Trance.
  7. Well it's been very interesting sitting on the sidelines for the past 3 years watching certain so called "Production Designers and Production Managers" try to recreate some of the work that I've accomplished in past years. Quite honestly I've had enough of the bullshit that's been going on at events during WMC. There seems to be several individuals who just can't seem to create the proper atmosphere to go along with the music. Well guess what. That's all going to change. The last 3 years I've been working on new developments as far as audio. lighting and video goes. 10 new sound systems that no other company is even dreaming about. Lighting and video combinations that will send all of the clubkids into overload. It's time that Miami gets a taste of the future. Stay tuned.
  8. John Creamer will be playing at HOUSE on 22nd and Biscayne, November 13, 2004. HOUSE is a unique nightclub that has several VIP rooms, an outdoor pool and many rooms of different music. Who cares about all the glitz and glam when you have killer music. http://www.whatishq.com
  9. Well just to put it simple, we stayed up 36 hours straight to make sure that the main sound system at Revolution Nightclub was ready for Skinny Puppy. I couldn't stay for the show because I was just dead tired, but the sound check was intense. Skinny Puppy was dropping mad bass Miami style, causing slight tremors in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. The opening act, Otto was killer too. His style was kinda of similar to Uberzone. Great production of music and killer bass. Tonight is Jerry Bonham and Sunday is U.N.K.L.E. with James Lavelle. If you're tired of going to clubs where the sound sux, stop by Revolution and get a heavy dose of TMc.
  10. Just wanted to fill you all in on what's going on at Revolution Nightclub in Fort Lauderdale (the old Chili Pepper space). The company that I work for, Pro Sound, is putting in a massive and I mean massive JBL Vertec sound sysem indoors and a JBL Custom Shop SRX system on the outdoor stage. The entire installation will be managed and supervised by myself, THE FESTIVAL CRE8OR. For those who don't know, Revolution Nightclub is THE dedicated under 10,000 person Clear Channel concert venue. They will be booking national concert tours as well as some of the largest DJ's in the industry. The characteristics of the club are virtually the same as it was when it was The Edge accept that it's more open and cleaned up. The second floor catwalk is still in place and a new VIP skybox has been added for a killer view of the stage. The outdoor stage has been totally overhauled. The new stage is 40 feet wide and 30 feet deep. A new 6000 lb capacity roof was fabricated to hold touring lighting and audio systems. The outdoor legal capacity has been rated at 1750 people. We will be starting the audio installation this week and will be pushing to have it done by Oct 29 for the Skinny Puppy show and for the Oct 30 and 31st shows with Jerry Bonham and UNKLE with James Lavalle. If you went to ULTRA 1, 2 and 3, Cyberfest 2000 or Beyond 2002, I think you'll have some idea of what kind of sound system to expect. Revolution Nightclub will be the prototype of what nightclubbing will be in the near future. This will be the first true dual duty club in South Florida equipped with a full concert touring system that can turn into a SUPER DJ system. See you all there Halloween weekend.
  11. Now I know you're entitled to your opinion but for you to call Miami a drug infested city, I have to say something about that. It amazes me how some people think they're so much better than another person just because they live in NYC. Now I'm not saying this about all New Yorkers because I have friends that live and work there. But it's people like you who make stupid statements, that makes some people think that all New Yorkers are snobby. Get a grip.
  12. The Global Passport will be used for all events thrown my Global HTM. When you buy a ticket for any Global HTM event, you either buy a new Global Passport, if you have one already, get it recharged with the new ticket purchase. Global Passports will also be used to purchase drinks at the event and be used to purchase other things offered by Global HTM. At Global HTM events, there will be recharge stations to add money to the card when it runs low. Terry mac
  13. Wow man. I guess there was some truth in my post huh? Make sure that Soborton person reads you post. Nothing against the dance music scene or anything, but ULTRA always does that. They simply don't have anyone on staff that's experienced to deal with the city stuff. Yes, there are people in town that could've helped them get the permission to have the even on the sand, but like you said, they simply dropped the ball. FC PS. Hey Alex, what do I have to be jealous of? I helped build that show, remember?????
  14. Let's get back to the subject. Why isn't the ULTRA Sunset Beach Party on the sand?? I know why. Do you? Also, there are alot more lucrative shows in several parts of the world. People who pay their vendors. Real concerts. ULTRA is one show a year, big deal. Some of us do REAL SHOWS for a living. We're not just weekend concert cow boys like A and R. Another thing. ULTRA needs to be thinking WMC, Bill Kelly. Without the WMC, there would be no ULTRA. FC PS. No matter what Alex tells you about me, he knows the real story. ULTRA WILL NEVER BE ON THE SAND OF SOUTH BEACH EVER AGAIN!!! Get that through your thick head.
  15. I'm gonna make this short and sweet. You're wrong about this so-called Unity Music Festival and you're also wrong about the Police. Come on. Do you really think that if this event was planned properly, 90 days before the event, that the city of Miami Beach couldn't put together force to handle 6,000 people?? We shouldn't even be talking about this subject right now because had ULTRA submitted the CORRECT PLAN 90 DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT, they would've gotten an answer from the Police then. Now about the toilet issue of ULTRA 5. You just totally took the post out of context. I suggest that you carefully read the posts that you're replying to, BEFORE you reply. I never said that they're problems from the previous event had to do with toilets. I have a copy of the requirements from the Health Dept. and will gladly send you a copy. They're weren't enough portable facilities and they're weren't enough urinals, toilets and sinks for the 40,000 people that THEY SAY attended. Now in closing I'd like to tell you that I'm merely speaking the truth. I know it hurts some of you people because you think that the owners of ULTRA are the GOLDEN CHILDREN, but like I stated in my first post. Alot of people and companies were left hanging from past ULTRA events and this was supposd to be taken care of. Well guess what? It hasn't been taken care of. This in itself will ruin the name of an event or promotions company. I have the list of people and companies who went out on a limb to help ULTRA and got shafted. I talk to these people every week. If anyone knows ULTRA's weaknesses, I think it would be me. FC PS. Hey, don't get pissed at me. I didn't promise you a Beach party on Labor Day weekend.
  16. Who are you trying to fool with this post? The Miami Beach Police Department is one of the finest in the country when it comes to special events. They've worked alot bigger shows on 21'st than 6000 people. The fact of the matter is ULTRA was unprepared, as usual. Admit it!! You say all proper procedures within ULTRA's powers? The security for the event is within their powers. That is if the Police Department is given a WELL THOUGHT OUT AND DOCUMENTED PLAN. That's why all of this information is to be submitted 90 days before the event. By the way. The 90 days is supposed to be the deadline. Now about squashing rumors, here is some fact. The last ULTRA event at Bayfront Park didn't follow the guidelines of the Health Department. Where were the portable toilets with the sinks and running water?? Hell. They didn't even have enough PORTALET's for the amount of people that were there. Yeah by the way, there is a code for that. Yup. The Health Dept does have a guideline for how many toilets, urinals and sinks with running water per a certain amount of people. You say doing these events aren't easy? yeah they aren't easy when you do a sloppy job of preparation. To tell you the truth. Putting together an event for 6000 people on the sand is rather easy. That is if you know what you're doing!!! Sorry to burst your bubble Miss but I know all about your friends (ULTRA). If it's the cheapest way, then it's the best way. Unfortunately the ones who lose in this whole deal are the fans who wanted a beach party. ULTRA had their one chance in hell and they blew it. How did they blow it? Doing rookie mistakes. Hey A and R, leave the big shows to the pros. FC PS. This whole fiasco is sound like Zen round 2. FACE IT. MIAMI BEACH DOESN'T WANT ULTRA!!!
  17. You obviously don't know anything about putting together a special event on the sand of Miami Beach. Do you really think it's just tell the city you want to do a gig and let's go? You say there doesn't have to be a fire evacuation plan? OK smart guy. Who's responsible if there's a major problem and all 6000 people have to evacuate the space immediately? You actually think that there's no plan for something like that? Let's talk about Building Permits. Miami Beach city code says any structure that's built higher than 3' has to be submitted to the building department. That's right smart guy. Stages, DJ Booths, ground support systems where the lighting and sound are flown. Yup. Drawings have to be submitted and you have to pull permits for it. I tell you what. Take the information in my first post down to Miami Beach City Hall - Special Event Dept. Ask them do you have to follow the instruction that I laid out. He he he. Some of us do special events for a living. Not just one time a year. he he FC PS. One more thing. I'll bet you that all of this information wasn't submitted to Miami Beach 90 days before the event. There simply isn't anyone on ULTRA's staff that's qualified to do such things.
  18. Let's see. I wonder did the boys from ULTRA submit the proper paperwork to the Police and Fire Department 90 days before the event? Just out of curiosity. I wonder were their preliminary siteplans, fire evacuation plans, electrical plans, building permits and number of Police and Fire Rescue all in order? A little birdie told me that ULTRA was lacking in this department and certain city officials just didn't want to be bothered with an event that was improperly put together. Could this be true??? FC
  19. That's right. I'll put it up against any club system in Miami. Anytime, anywhere, any place. As a matter of fact the system is strong that I had to tame it a bit. NEXO Alpha at its finest and it's going to keep getting better and better every week. Please be sure to check out FREEFALL tonight at the BEACH. BT Dave Seaman DJ Rap John Aquaviva DFUSE and a host of others DJ's spinning in 3 different rooms for 24 hours. The BEACH Niteclub also features a 60foot, 3 projector video wall with killer and I mean killer graphics and media. Also, a custom lighting system is being used especially for the WMC week. The BEACH Niteclub is located at 90 NE 11th st. 3 buildings east of Space 34. So come on by and check us out. I think you'll be incredibly surprised. COMING SOON - NOCTURNAL MIAMI HOLD ON FOR THIS CLUB!!!!
  20. Yeah man. The club is gonna be pretty damn fresh. 2 VIP rooms, enormous video displays, KILLER NEXO and inexpensive drinks. None of that $7 for a Heineken bullshit. :D
  21. I know alot of you ragged on Exile when it tried and failed but there's some new guys that are bringing a new flavor to downtown miami. THE BEACH NITECLUB, located at 90 N.E. 11st, will be opening very very soon. The FestivalCre8or was hired to revamp the existing NEXO Alpha system to create the best system in south florida. NO ONE DOES NEXO BETTER THAN THE FESTIVALCRE8OR. There's been several imitators but they can't seem to get it right. THE BEACH will bring a different flavor to downtown miami. A breath of fresh air from the velvet rope scene. Although plans are being made to have a smoking DJ lineup during the WMC, THE BEACH will fit right in with Space34 and Nocturnal, by offering a totally different vibe. Stay tuned to http://www.thebeachniteclub.com for details
  22. Hey Pod do you have any other good shots of Beyond? I'm trying to sell the show concept to a few promoters in Central America.
  23. http://www.puredezign.com/Image/Beyond2002.html :D :D :D :D
  24. I'm just curious to find out why no promoters or clubowners in Miami ever book Derrick May, Keven Sauderson or Juan Atkins. These guys are really, really good. I provided audio for a party in LA this past summer where Derrick May played along Choo Choo Romero and Arnamd Van Heldon and all 3 of them smoked the place. Will we ever see any of these guys play in Miami or is Miami just a Paul, Paul, Danny crowd??
