  1. I used to live and dance at different clubs in Asia. The first place you HAVE to go to is the legendary Zouk club in Singapore. It's brilliant..hmm I know they have a website..they just started making it when I moved out. Everyone plays at Zouk and it's one of the best clubs in asia. I'm sure if you e-mail the managers and send 'em one of you're sets, you're golden. There is also club Venom and Phuture and Velvet Underground which are awesome electronica oriented clubs. If you played w/John Creamer and Stephane K, you're probably progressive/house oriented and they LOVE that in Singapore. You gotta hit Tokyo as well. There are always raves at Yoyoggi park. Go to www.tokyocitysearch.com for more clubs...I never danced in Tokyo but Sven Vath and Charles Feelgood and all of 'em are ALWAYS playing at various venues Thailand is great too. They're starting to do the whole beach rave thing in phuket. At pattaya there's a club called Palladium that's great for house/trance too...contact them and i'm sure they'll book you. Hope this helps
  2. Okay where is everyone staying for the 2 nights? Being a procrastinator I can't find a hotel room now so I'm kinda stuck!
  3. Hmm I dunno if this is what you term "lounge" but here are a few great songs that I play at club NV in the lounge floor and I always get compliments on my compilations. J-Walk - Soul Vibration Solid Sessions - Janeiro (original mix) Blu Mar Ten - Global Access Blue Noise - Landslide (original mix) BRS - loving me (dubtribe soundsystem remix) dzihan & kamien - freaks & colors les nubiens (they're kinda old 1999 but..) - ANYTHING off their princess nubiens CD..it's amazing. I like the song Makeida There you go!
  4. Hmmm I'm wondering why this is a new CD. Half the stuff is from 2001 and the other half is super cheezy...and all of it DEFINITELY is NOT underground. Example: the song Touch Me by Rui de Silva or however you spell it was great like spring/summer 2001 but after listening to the song for almost a year.....shouldn't it be old now?!?
  5. haha i think it's too late at night..sorry guys..my post was for the mitsubishi commercial not the mazda one! take care
  6. you know...i think we should all meet up somewhere at the polo fields..maybe while Tiesto spins cuz I know everyone will be there. I think it would be nice to finally put faces to the people I message! whaddaya you guys think
  7. haha i can't believe the company ACTUALLY thought asians would like that....the fuckers. BUT on a better note...DJ Dan has a song called Abercrombie & Fitch and it's quite descent
  8. It's a great song. It was huge in Asia towards the end of last year....too bad it's in a commercial...ruins the whole song I think.
  9. I'm totally going! I can't wait to see kosheen, bad boy bill, digweed, and the rest of 'em I love zero 7 as well. Does anyone know if sasha is spinning w/digweed? I know it says on the website but someone said it was only digweed
  10. dirty vegas---days go by...if its the commercial w/the chick trying to do something like a pop'n'lock routine....gotta give her props for trying though
  11. MANNNNN how could I forget to vote in sven vath......hmmm put him in as number 3..it's a tie he's an amazing dj
  12. 1. DONALD GLAUDE!!!! 2. Danny Tenaglia 3. John Digweed 4. Carl Cox 5. Deep Dish 6. Sasha 7. DJ DB 8. Dara 9. Dave Aude 10. Martin Solveig hmm I think we should start the threat 1-10 best producer worst DJ
  13. Hey everyone! I'm in need of some serious help! My friends from singapore will be coming to LA this thursday and I've just flown into LA myself. What are some good 18+ clubs on Thrusdays and Fridays...Saturday we're going to Audiotistic. We're definitely big trance/deep house/drum'n'bass fans but any club that is classy with good DJ's would be wonderful! Thank you SO SO SO much for helping! PLUR & MUCH love
  14. Wow...I have too many fave tracks..but here's a few of 'em that are old some kinda new but all of 'em will always be special to me! ~not in any special order 1. john digweed--heaven sent 2. DJ DB--exocet demon seed 3. satoshi tomiie--up in flames 4. cosmicman--I love you 5. puretone--addicted to bass 6. david guetta--love don't let me go 7.nat monday--waiting (deep dish remix) 8. ascension--someone like you 9. rank 1--airwave 10. john digweed--virtual trancer 11. orbital--halycon 12. underworld--born slippy 13. BT--godspeed...dreaming...flaming june.... 14. massive attack--protection 15. scott hardkiss--infinitely gentle blows 16. aromabar--winter pageant 17. aphrodite--style from the darkside 18. max graham--tell me ...um I think I'll stop here...as you can see I'm a progressive and uplifting trance...deep house...drum'n'bass...trip-hop and ambient lover!
  15. Hey I'm not sure which song you want but the song from the whitestripes is called fell in love with a girl
  16. I occasionally buy stuff that I can wear to a club and also to classes. But since I usually wear all black (not goth) and am quite conservative since I'm a neuroscience major...wearing nothing too revealing or glitzy so most of my club clothes just don't work during the day. Also I love wearing clothes that sparkle or shimmer in the lights.....so you really can't wear a top w/disco dots to class. People would think you forgot to change out of last nite's attire
  17. yeah I'm pretty sure it's Liquid feat. Sylvie---turn the tide I'm listening to it right now and my mix is very South Beach Miami/Orlando sounding...not NY hard house though. The intro lyrics go something like this you have the greatest heart the strongest emotions after all the harm I've caused....you still want my loving to Think i've lost you're love...oh baby it's a shame but how can I be mad at you...when I'm the one to blame I can't believe I still receive so much affection from you're side..... if you could give me one more chance I'd love to turn the tide......
  18. It's Liquid feat. Sylvie---turn the tide
  19. I feel that sometimes female DJ's get underrepresented! I've heard people say that male DJ's are better..and this is TOTALLY NOT TRUE! SO I think it's time to give a shoutout to you're fave female DJ's in any genre!! Mine: DJ Rap (I love the fact that she blends diff genres together from breakbeat to pop-esque vocals and she's dating BT!) DJ Irene (i love her brand of hard house..she's amazing live too!) Sandra Collins (she's just cool) miss bliss (she rocks live too)
  20. OF COURSE raves still exist. I love clubbing more than raves but I still love raving. It TOTALLY depends on what crowd, atmosphere, or music you wanna play. I mean you can play anything from trance to breakbeat to drum'n'bass to an amalgam of every genre possible. But DJ'/Producers tend to just play their own music off their new CD's etc. If you're a DJ playing at a rave...you tend to play underground music. Nothing too well known or cheezy...ex: Iio's Rapture...or else at least you're own mix of it...not like John Creamer and Stephan K's mix...unless you're John Creamer and Stephan K......get what I'm saying kinda?
  21. Hey everyone, I love downtempo after I come home from a night of partying or working at my club...but I think i'm stuck in a rut! I can't find other artists or styles of "downtempo" to listen to! I've listened to massive attack, LH00Q, esthero, portishead, zero 7, cynic project, and theivery corp but now I need a break! Any ideas? Thanks guys!
  22. I love wearing Classique--Jean Paul Gaultier when I go clubbing or when I work at my club but during the day I wear Anna Sui--Anna Sui. I like the oriental/musky floral scents. On guys I love aqua elements--hugo boss although I think it's discontinued chrome--azzaro is also great.
  23. I think it depends on what club you're at! But I've never worn jeans to a club although I too see people in deisel, frankie B, earl's etc. I just think it looks too casual..
  24. HEY you can find most of you're fave brands at www.karmaloop.com it has kitchen orange, lithium, caffeine, Iilig, the people have spoken, etc. I love this website! As for my fave brands I love lithium, bebe, bisou bisou, and plastik wrap
  25. I think blue eyeliner is great! I'm asian and I work as a dancer at a club so when I go out I love using blue liquid eyeliner in any shade from iridescent blue to shimmery shades of blue. I avoid navy blue though...I dunno why. I also wear blue eyeshadow in diff shades too...who says blue is overplayed! My rule for blue, if you're point is to draw attention to eyes...play down you're lips and vice versa. A shimmer sheer blue like one from bourjois is great when you want dramatic lips.
