I think Heaven and Hell in Adam's Morgan is gonna be pretty tight this Friday. One of the DJ's is my man Speed Demon and he says they've got no dress code, entry is $5, and... uh.... they don't search. I'm definitely goin' Tomorrow to support my boy.

Well, Lonnie's new club, the larger Sonar Lounge will be opening real soon. But I don't think they can fit 2300 people, though.

I hear you, Wide. That's a good angle. I do think it'd be nice for the smaller talent to get a fair break. I mean, I don't have to see 3 Dj's with CD's at Tower every Friday night. However, I like going where I know there's gonna be 2000 people, because there's guaranteed to be a large enough number of people having a good time. When you go to a smaller club, say 300 people, there's too great of a chance that everybody's gonna be drinking too much or being a wallflower.

I know it's definitely no Buzz, but I've been going to Stereo most of the summer as well and it's usually a good time. They're the only other place booking this level of high-talent Dj's. Do you think more people will show up to Stereo's Saturday parties out of good-music-starvation, or will everybody just go to 18th St Lounge and Club 5 and other small clubs on Fridays to get partying out of their systems? PS - No more Buzz. Fuck!

Godammit! Where am I gonna go to stay up till 6am now? Where am I gonna go where I always know that I'll find people that I can enjoy the music with somebody I don't even know without saying a word? Where am I gonna go where I know people aren't evaluating me when I walk up to the bar and trying to determine what I do or what I drive? Where am I gonna go where I know I can have a good time w/o getting drunk? Where am I gonna go to enjoy being dressed like a phreak? Where am I gonna meet up with my friends that I don't get time to see during the week? I can certainly do w/o Buzz for a week or two, but not knowing when the next massive will be? That kills. It's not like we can just look forward to this fall's Ultraworld event, either. Fuck!

My main concern with all of this government propaganda against E is that they're not really focusing on the things that are really true. They're definitley inflating the drug to be a lot more harmful than it is. Yes, it is bad for you, but a lot more people have an alergic reaction and die to strawberries than to MDMA. The primary ways to die off E are to not keep yourself hydrated and to mix it with a lot of other drugs, right? I wish they would educate the public on what the drug really does and then let pepole decide for themselves how much of a threat it is, rather than to have these over-dramatic, ambiguous scare tactic spots.
