I'm not aware of any type of retainer, I would think that a smaller ball or no ball screwed at the front would serve that purpose -I know it took at least a month to heal. To "fully heal" it probably takes longer -I'm not really an expert on this stuff

I think I got it like 1 or 1.5 inches under my mouth, so just above the chin. I got it on 8th street on the Washington Sq.Prk, NYU side, a few blocks before the Coconuts (I'm bad with the East West direction thing). I think the best maintanance advice is not to take it out or move it around a lot (I found it to be more difficult to put it back in than the toung piercing) -I think that taking it out and putting it back in frequently was what caused the irritation for me, the lebret piercing was more distracting than the toung one -I would play with it more. It also got in the way of eating and "luv making" -I had a spike shaped thing Getting it pierced did not hurt too much -maybe just a little more than the tongue, which I didn't think was too bad

I don't like the generalization that "men" are a certain type - "Do men make these judgements" -maybe an individual male at a certain time or place is anal about certain things and makes "judgements" ..... maybe some men are more laid-back I have low self esteem ... so I'm usaully very self-critical ... I try to be open minded and not form a solid opinion right away I feel that when two people get together, and one person has something in particular in mind -or is busy forming judgements- or worrying about how to act and what to say ... then this prevents people from relaxing and relating on a more genuine -and less superficial- level.

I would say that it's best not to have a plan when it comes to this type of stuff ... just see what happens ... If things are going well, and you're laughing together and connecting and having a really nice time -then there is no reason to feel like a slut

A few comments about how much I hate this thing ...
