  5. Impress me and name this tune
  6. You gave two answers so you have automatically been disqualified. In the case that I do win. Don't sweat it. I plan on giving those things away anyway. Not much of a drinker and I don't have to be in the "VIP" to have a good time. Everyone is VIP in my books
  7. Happy Birthday BizNation "To A Nation Rock"
  8. Don't know you bro but I wish you a quick recovery.
  9. That's easy Solo and Bubba Fett <----------Takes his 3 VIP bands and donates them to the unfortunate ones that never get to visit the VIP area. <---------- Keep the drink comps though

  12. SOTU Underground Update - Arksun - Earth One Arksun returns with a another lush progressive track. Has the Zone Recordings star produced yet another top track? I believe so. On the "Original mix", Arksun is quite clever when toying with various sound effects, but what really underlines Arksuns brilliance here is the amazing use of a melancholic choir and well-timed synths. Why not call it minimalistic downtempo trance, just to make it a little bit clearer about what "earth one" has to offer. The "Chilled mix" helps push the essence of "earth one" forward. Once the bass kick is left out of the tune, the amazing soundscape becomes much clearer. A real sweet mix. A nu-break version is what you will find on the "Illuminati mix" an interesting twist which I think will be enjoyed most most break beat lovers. Production wise I can only see good things about it. It can only lead to "earth one" reaching a wider audience. Zone recordings better hold on tightly to Arksun as he continues his journey becoming more and more complete as a producer every single day. 13. Saleen is right. The Lenny Kravitz remix is titled "Belive In Me" and Steve Lawler should be thanks for that one. Nice one sided promo that has been floating around for about three months. Nice track.
  14. Why, cause they are also on the payroll. : )
  15. A little bird told me that Level Night Club got sold to the Lowes Hotel and shall be closing soon. May be old news for some. Maybe new news to others. Obby
  16. Uhhhh I'll pass on this one.
  17. I would have to disagree with you. I think the last thing a message board should promote is drama and unpfrofetional postings. I for one have always liked the fact that Club Planet has alot of the local artist as members but to be honest with you I am starting to have my doubts about CP due to postings such as these.
  18. Merlyn's master plan has been unfolding long before his friends chose his name to describe the magical ways in which he manipulated sounds both behind the turntables and in the studio. He has always been one to share his passion for music with others since the early 90's when Merlyn was spinning records at the house parties and clubs while producing and engineering bass records in some of Miami's hottest studios. Merlyn's early days in the underground club scene at the famous Edge nightclub in Fort Lauderdale have helped shape the sound that he is known for today by introducing him to Progressive House, Trance, and Funky Breaks. His first record under his old "Quest" alias entitled "Bring Your Luv" became an instant underground classic and stapled him as one of the premier up and coming Breakbeat producers, and it invited an audience to find out that he was one of the best breakbeat DJ's that Miami had to offer as well. His subsequent releases on self-owned Dreamscape Recordings (such as the piano anthem "Search" and the darker acid breaks stompers "Spellbound" and "Incantations") and collaborations like "Path to Redemption" and "Taken (You Took My Love)" with old high school friend Jasp 182 on Insomniac Records have earned him respect as one of the innovators of new sound that can only be described as Funky Breaks meets UK Trance. Merlyns increasing popularity is becoming more and more evident through fantastic record sales and the constant demand for his songs to appear on CD compilations (including mixed CD's by Simply Jeff, DJ Sharpe, Rick West, Chris Fortier, and many more). His increased DJ appearances around the country at clubs and major festival events are finally fulfilling the predictions of Merlyn emerging as a musical leader and a consistent crowd pleaser. If you ask anyone that has followed his DJ and production career or knows him personally, they'll be sure to tell you that his influence on the underground dance music movement has barely even begun. His critically acclaimed mixed CDs "Spellbound" and "Nu Horizons Vol. 1" have sold over 10,000 units each and received glowing reviews from Mixer, URB, and DMA. Be on the lookout for his upcoming CD "Elevation". This DJ is not to be missed and must be heard to be understood!

  20. I knew you would agree with me on this one.
  21. SOTU Underground Update - Jan Johnston - Flesh 2002 Remix One of perfecto's finest tunes to date, one of the most talented singers in the industry and one of the most praised DJ/producers on classic remix duties has had Noel Sanger's 2002 treatment to make this big hit first time around and even bigger one this time... Perfecto, Oakenfold, Maas, Quality and Great Records are just one or two words that are highly associated with Perfecto Recordings, and now, in 2002, one of the most played dance records ever has had the more progressive 2002 treatment! Noel Sanger produces the goods, that has been hammered all over the world... This tracks builds quietly, starting quite melodic, and just has an uplifting feel to it. Cool beats start that are very instrumental rather than synthetic and merge with sounds and more chunkier bass to hit a breakdown, in which those (almost historical) vocals start and the power flows in the song. A new life feeling emerges, and you cant help but be drawn into the music. Superb track! This track will only be pressed on vinyl for now and should be available in the beginning of November 2002 (I got mine). For those of you who loved the original. Wait until you hear this new progressive remix Sanger has blessed us with. Obby
