  2. http://www.nypost.com/gossip/pagesix.htm November 11, 2004 -- VINCENT D'Onofrio, the star of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," passed out while shooting the hit TV series yesterday morning — prompting insiders to gossip that the actor is "losing it." "Ever since John Kerry lost the election, [D'Onofrio] has lost his [bleep,]" said our on-set insider. "He has been getting into fistfights with people, and when he passed out today, we all thought he was faking it. But then he insisted they call 911." An ambulance raced to the Queens studio, where paramedics found nothing wrong with the gifted actor, who became a star in 1987 with his searing performance as a misfit Marine in "Full Metal Jacket." Tensions on the "Criminal Intent" set are running high. "No one thinks Vincent will last for much longer," the insider said. "He is so hard to work with — a total freak. He constantly complains about the scripts and has held up production a lot." D'Onofrio, a big Kerry supporter, was said to be devastated over President Bush's re-election. "When PAGE SIX [last week] wrote about 'Law & Order' putting up signs forbidding political discussions on set, it was funny," our source said. "Those signs were put up because of [D'Onofrio]." About a month before the election, D'Onofrio "insisted" on putting up anti-Bush posters and fliers, "and would attack anyone who disagreed with him," the spy added. In response, "Law & Order" producers posted signs banning political discussions or anything else that would impede work on set, implying that D'Onofrio had held up taping of the show with his political zealotry. D'Onofrio's co-stars, Kathryn Erbe, Jamey Sheridan and Courtney B. Vance, are said to be fed up with his antics. "No one — and I do mean no one — talks to him anymore," the insider added. A rep for the show insisted there had been no "fistfights." D'Onofrio does not have a rep. But show creator Dick Wolf said via a rep: "The stress of being the first among equals on a one-hour television drama is the most exhausting job in show business. Hours are long and stress levels are high. "Any actor who has been in Vincent's position knows how tough it is. It is unfortunate that Vincent's health has become the topic of gossip and speculation under these circumstances." I guess he can say he "is in a world of shit"
  3. Am I the only one amazed that this guy won a nobel peace prize ??? A+ for effort (I guess)
  4. Amen to that. Spoken like a true American !!!!!! I was informed that 75 Billion have already been put aside for the rebuilding of Fallujah and that as of Yesterday 65% of the city is in US control. THAT's GREAT !!!!!!!!! All this from an e-mail I received from a cousin fighting in Iraq. Our troops also found the house where most of the beheadings took place. Not only did we find that human slaughter house but we uncovered a bunch of the videos which have been aired already and the background tarps/sheets which were used to conceal their location. Ohhh and we free a hostage who was tied by chains to the ceiling and had electrical wires connected to his balls. I wonder how much that Iraqi loves us now? OK haters...time to throw in your negative comments. Abu Ghraib Terrorist Have Rights Too We Killed Innocent People (Even Though We Gave Them Days Of Warining That We Were About To Go Into Fallujah) Wrong War Wrong Time It's All Fake Lada Lada Lada Ohhh and we will continue to target ANYWHERE the insurgents decide to hide their weapons stash. Shame they have to hide them in schools, mosques and hospitals. Is that considered smart on their part? Hummmmmm

Gray, STAFF "The Passion of the Christ" will be considered for Golden Globe awards, but "Fahrenheit 9/11" won't. "Passion," which Newmarket released domestically, is eligible in the foreign-language category as well as other races, such as direction and script (though not in the drama-film or comedy/musical-film categories, which are for English-lingo pics). The Hollywood Foreign Press Assn. does not give out awards for docus, so it does not consider the genre in any other race, which KO's "Fahrenheit," released domestically by Lions Gate, IFC Films and Fellowship Adventure Group. With the kudos-season races still wide open, pundits have long speculated on the chances of the pics, which are two of the most debated films of the year. Their high profiles (and B.O. successes) make them hard to ignore, while both films have ardent admirers as well as rabid detractors. HFPA president Lorenzo Soria said of the "Passion" decision, "Yes, we know Aramaic is not a spoken language and, yes, we know the film doesn't have a country of origin. But our bylaws state that when a film is in a language that is preponderantly non-English, it's a foreign-language film. We looked at our bylaws and we looked at the movie, and the match is there." "As for 'Fahrenheit,' we felt it would be unfair to tell other documentarians ' "Fahrenheit" qualified and yours didn't.' Again, we follow our rules and it did not qualify. It would be unfair to make an exception." Friday was the HFPA's deadline for applications for all entries and the org subsequently made its decisions on the films. Moore bad news At an HFPA meeting Thursday, some members had proposed a special award to Michael Moore -- more of a career award, for boosting the art form of the documentary than a "Fahrenheit" recognition -- but the motion was defeated by the membership. In a statement Monday, Lions Gate Films Releasing prexy Tom Ortenberg said, "Lions Gate Films, Fellowship Adventure Group and Michael Moore are disappointed that 'Fahrenheit 9/11' will not be recognized in this year's Golden Globes race. We are immensely proud of 'Fahrenheit 9/11' -- one of the year's most significant feature films. We anticipate great success in the coming awards season." The Globes decision is not necessarily a decisive victory for "Passion" --consideration is not the same thing as a nom -- but it certainly can't hurt, as studios try to get maximum awards-season exposure for their films. Similarly, this is not a crushing defeat for "Fahrenheit" because there are other awards to be handed out. That includes critics groups and the Academy Awards (news - web sites). While "Fahrenheit" will not be considered for a docu Oscar because it did not submit to that race, it will be considered in other categories. No 'Passion' at Oscar The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences did not consider "Passion" for its foreign-language race, because the Acad asks countries to submit films that feature one of the country's principal languages. In their view, "Passion," in Latin and Aramaic, does not represent the work of any single country. The Globes are often touted as an Oscar barometer (though the record is mixed). And HFPA execs often say they want their awards, which get strong NBC ratings and increasing media attention, to be considered on their own merit. The HFPA will announce the Cecil B. DeMille honoree and Miss Golden Globe at a morning press conference on Nov. 18. Nominations for the 62nd annual Golden Globes will be unveiled Dec. 13 and the ceremony will take place Sunday, Jan. 16, with a telecast on NBC.
