    To Kill an American

I thought this was well stated and worth the time to read. To Kill an American You probably missed it in the rush of news last week, but there was actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper an offer of a reward to anyone who killed an American, any American. So an Australian dentist wrote the following to let everyone know what an American is, so they would know when they found one. (Good on ya, mate!!!!) An American is English, or French, or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian or Greek. An American may also be Canadian, Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Australian, Iranian, Asian, or Arab, or Pakistani, or Afghan. An American may also be a Cherokee, Osage, Blackfoot, Navaho, Apache, Seminole or one of the many other tribes known as native Americans. An American is Christian, or he could be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than in Afghanistan. The only difference is that in America they are free to worship as each of them chooses. An American is also free to believe in no religion. For that he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God. An American is from the most prosperous land in the history of the world. The root of that prosperity can be found in the Declaration of Independence, which recognizes the God given right of each person the pursuit of happiness. An American is generous. Americans have helped out just about every other nation in the world in their time of need. When Afghanistan was overrun by the Soviet army 20 years ago, Americans came with arms and supplies to enable the people to win back their country.! As of the morning of September 11, Americans had given more than any other nation to the poor in Afghanistan. Americans welcome the best, the best products, the best books, the best music, the best food, the best athletes. But they also welcome the least. The national symbol of America, The Statue of Liberty, welcomes your tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed. These in fact are the people who built America. Some of them were working in the Twin Towers the morning of September 11, 2001 earning a better life for their families. I've been told that the World Trade Center victims were from at least 30 other countries, cultures, and first languages, including those that aided and abetted the terrorists. So you can try to kill an American if you must. Hitler did. So did General Tojo, and Stalin, and Mao Tse-Tung, and every bloodthirsty tyrant in the history of the world. But, in doing so you would just be killing yourself. Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an American.
  7. Nice place!!!! Thanks for the info. Keep them coming!!!!

  15. I would have given you $40.00 for it. Look at jew now!!!!!!!! Now I landed the original mix you have. The two on Release and three new ones on SOG.
  16. (PS) Blackwatch & Greed - Gentle Rain (2004 Remixes) With one set of remixes from Blackwatch and Grayarea having appeared not so long ago, the second remix package of Blackwatch & Greed's 'Gentle Rain' drops, launching the new label SOG Chrome in the process. For those who missed the original version when it was available on promo around two years ago, never to see a full release, you will be pleased to know it's year in all it's glory, along with two new mixes from Greed himself. Updating the track for this remix package, Greed creates the '2004 Pain Mix'. Stripping things back and dropping a funky bassline over the warm, sublime, groove that shimmers below. Subtle bass and snares sit within big void that is created and the vocal is kept to a minimum as the focus here is firmly on the driving funk, as Greed takes it squarely down the house route. 'The Directors Cut Mix' is a rocking breaky interpretation built around live instruments and a techy house groove. Big drums drift into the groove, with electric guitar hooks building the tempo up rapidly.towards a full on breakdown. Lesley's vocals break up the throw down, only for one final moment of rock bringing the mix to a close, and setting things up nicely for the original version. Ah yes, the 'Original Mix'. Nothing has changed here. There's still the same subtle melodies and rolling beats that have the trademark of Blackwatch all over them, working in tandem with Tobi Wirz’s funky arrangements. The vocal is breathtaking, the percussion and synth arrangements are superbly weaved together and this is still one of the best original productions either producer has done, and one that both have yet to surpass. A solid set of mixes, with the original having stood the test of time, and the two new mixes perfect for those who are looking for something a little less reclined and slightly more upbeat. SOG Chrome is off to a fine start, but the question is how do they follow on from this?
  17. (PS) Graham & Blades - Real John Graham is without a doubt one of a handful of producers who have played a major part in helping the progressive music scene to grow over the last ten years or so, so when he teams up with Rowan Blades, one half of the highly acclaimed and sadly now defunct outfit Breeder, it's a potentially heavyweight project that on paper shouldn't be overlooked. 'Real' is the first collaboration between these two producers, the first of several they have worked on, and if reaction to the track so far is anything to go by, it looks as though they are onto a winner. Layer upon layer of big beat percussion off the 'Vocal Mix', and it's not long before the track's crazy elastic bassline rumbles in under the groove. Chimes and melodies expire on the surface, vocal fills panning back and forth as the bassline deflates, a subtle break leading into main vox section, the breathy female solo falling between the funky synth hooks that are teased into the track as it builds. As the main breakdown hits, the percussion takes over again, spinning into a floaty and upbeat chorus, where the vocal and synth lines intertwine with each other for with damaging results, and whilst there's nothing here that one could class as rocket science, it's an effective track nevertheless. And if you have an aversion to vocals, the 'Topliner Mix' should more than cater for your taste with its's trippy dub sensibilities, dynamic synth arrangements and of course that that hypnotic top line that hooks you from the moment it enters into the fray. The bassline is left to it's own devices, having been upgraded slightly, deeper percussion rounding off the mix in top fashion, with this interpretation designed specifically to get you moving and grooving, and it's consistent results will more than speak for themselves, as you will find out. This track doesn't try to hide its unashamedly progressive roots, and comes across what it sets out to be, and that's a fun and funky dancefloor record that will get feet moving and bodies rocking. Both of these producers have put together that doesn't pull no punches, and does what it sets out to do, and it's nice to see two people have the balls to just make music that moves people, rather than music that's up it's own ass. Here's looking forward to their next release already.. This one has been in the front of my crate for a while now and it seems like it will stay there for the weeks to come. Sample Here Enjoy
  18. OK, now that I am actually in front of a PC. Friday was well wicked!!!!! Got there kind of early to check out Phrankadelic and his smooth but yet acidic, funky, jazzy, "broken beats". Nice way to start off the night. Frank, you made me feel like I was at the old school Bee Hive. THANKS!!!! Preston and Chloe then took over taking turns every 30 to 40 minutes or so. Nice tag team!!!!! Some wicked sounding stuff which had me (yeah me) moving. Later in the night it seems like they both craved breaks so they threw them and boy where they sick tracks. This was actually my first time hearing Chloe throw some breaks and I was well impressed. Fun times!!!!!!! Thank you Preston for the PQM wax. Very nice production by Noel Sanger !!!!! Def throwing it down soon.
  19. So your taking me out for lunch when??????
  20. Never too much bass in my books. "Don't give me control of the bass cause I'll be the first one to abuse it" I am not familiar with the new sound system at Space considering that it has been a loooooong time since I have passed by but what I do know that the old Space was one of the best sound systems I have EVER used. As for which club sucks and which one rocks.................I think I will stay quite on this one.
  21. Put me in coach !!!!!!!!! To good times tonight with the PM Session family !!!!!!!!

    Sex Joke

A man says to his wife, "I'm feeling kinky tonight. How about I cum in your ear, baby?" His wife says, "No way! I might go deaf." Her husband replies, "that would never happen,," "I've been cumming in your mouth for twenty years, and you never shut the fuck up ..."
