  7. JOHN LANDERS, who had a great deal to DO with the publication of this article has asked for both positive and negative feedback. Now that you guys have read my insight and feelings regarding our current music scene I though it would be good to get your opinions as well. Your reply and opinions will contribute to the article and will definitely help answer any questions that both New Times and John Landers may still have regarding our current music scene. After all, I know allot of you have things to share. Peace, OBBY
  8. We have been holding back for political reasons (such as fallugia). I think it's time we hold back no longer. WHEREVER our enemies are I say we go after them with full force. Politics aside for now. If you get in our way, I feel sorry for ya. Acts like this are true atrocities. Stacking naked enemies aren't and does not even compare. I hope our admin gets even tougher now.
  9. Leave the guy alone people. It's only an avatar that is available to many from those smiley websites. Most of us are all about the beats. Lets try and keep it that way.
  10. My friends throw O2 Lounge Thursday, Friday and Saturday and I doubt that they are aware that the door guys are asking for cash on the side. I am going to make sure to tell them. As wrong as this may sound, I am sure you people will agree with me on this. "In this world it's who you know" Sad but true.
  11. Eric, my full name is Robert Gustav Ledee. Obby was a nickname given to me when I lived in Germany (first 5 years of my life). Everyone including my family and friends have called me Obby my whole life. New times asked for my full name so I gave it to them. Now you know the info. Thanks for the support guys. You guys are the ones who rock!!!!! Peace and thanks again people, OBBY

  13. I agree but better late than never. This track is one of those that gives me goose bumps. You know those.
  14. Pole Folder Feat Sandra Ferretti - Protected (Remixes) Pole Folder is challenging dance music. He's creating sounds that will surpass the regular club hit, but still manages to cater to the dance community. 'Protected', a gorgeous song that created an early stir in his home country of Belgium, gets reworked by the groovy smooth sounds of the M.A.S Collective, and the talented breakbeat producer Fretwell. Both restructure Pole Folder's sounds into gorgeous renditions of thier own, adding thier own touch and so much to the music. Sandro Russo & Andreino Arcangeli form the duo, 'M.A.S. Collective'. They have recorded for Slip & Slide, Alternative Route, Azuli and others, as well as remixed an array of artists from the Soul Providers to the Funky Green Dogs. Lush synths accompany sweet housey beats and a thick groovy head bobbing bassline for their 'Black Curtain Dub' of 'Protected'. Sandra Ferretti's gorgeous vocal swirls and swims inside the layers of sound, while crunchy beats move the song along through quick breaks. Layers of percussive sounds follow the drums, while a tiny arpeggiation floats behind everything twinkling ever so slightly. Dropping off into an ambient break, the synths move up keys and Sandra's voice comes clear and new keys are brought in. Flying sounds bring the beats back in,as the tune follows and rides down. 'Tim Fretwell' is an extremely talented producer. He’s moved through house and breaks, and his last release 'The Fretwell EP' was full of lovely sounds and intricate break beats all mixed inside surrealistic moods. Here he starts his remix of 'Protected' with a dramatic intro with lush synths that wash over a shaking high hat and builds into a nice break beat. Sandra’s voice flies through the synths at a break, while the pads change thru keys and develop into the drums once more. This is a very emotional remix with stunning effects. Pole Folder has upped the ante for music. He's not just producing dance music anymore; he's creating some seriously beautiful moody music that will outlive the regular 12" single. For the past few months he's been hard at work on his debut artist album for Bedrock, a project that Sandra has been heavily involved in, and 'Protected' is just the start of a new chapter in the career of Pole Folder. (M.A.S. Collective Mix / Tim Fretwell Mix) The "Original Mix" along with the "Madoka Mix" has also been in the front of my crate these days so keep an ear out people. Definitely a must have in my eyes and ears. Enjoy, OBBY
