  1. Debating on getting tickets to a few parties there - is this place as small as let say Bed - where tickets sell out immediately? Is there decent room to dance/move around or will it be a sweat shop? How many people can this place hold and is it more of a lounge or club? Any opinions about this place would be greatly appreciated - they have a great lineup for WMC
  2. I agree 100% - that system has some serious kick to it - especially on the main floor. The bass on some of the tracks Morillo played that morning was harder than anything I've ever heard out here. At first I was under the impression they only brought that in for Friday's party - but if that is here to stay and was only at about 50% - WOW
  3. That would seriously BE one hell of a way to end the conference there - Morillo - DT - Sanchez I think he said he'd never play there again though because of the way the door is run though or something like that - but I could be wrong
  4. I'm still looking forward to it - but not nearly as exciing when the only people left out of my group of 20+ will be me and my girlfriend. I was planning on relaxing that night before we head out on Wednesday
  5. No doubt this will still be an insane party - and it won't be as crazy to get into or move around which is a very good thing - all I'm saying is a lot of people who will be gone are going to be disapointed. Release Yourself was the best party of WMC 2005 IMO - this year tons of people flying from all over the US and even Europe will miss out on one of the parties they were looking forward to the most
  6. Seriously - u think half as many people will be around Wednesday compared to the weekend? IMO - anyone who isn't going to be around for Roger's party can blame Space and the fuckin promotors of MMC - they originally said their events would be from the 18th to 26th - lord knows they posted it on every website and sent it to any email address they had - so most people thought by Monday night the 27th things would done (at Space, Spin, & whatever other clubs they own) and Monday or Tuesday would be safe to leave. I gaurantee if they would have originally posted their dates to the 28th and didn't have to make it seem like a fucking competition between them and WMC - people would have planned accordingly and left on Wednesday to make sure they weren't missing anything. And for the next smartass like POD who is going to come on here and say I'm just pissed because I'm missing out - your wrong - I'll be around until Wednesday afternoon - I'm just making a point for a shitload of my friends who are leaving the day before me who will be seriously disapointed - along with a bunch of people on this messageboard who I'm sure feel the same way. PS - I find it interesting that Space has changed the dates w/in the last week for MMC now ending on the 28th instead of the 26th
  7. If they just bumped this up by even 1 day - to Monday night - there would be so many more people that could attend. Unless when they say Tuesday - they mean tuesday morning. With this whole WMC - MMC thing this year and 10 days of parties - I sure as hell didn't think anything great would be going that late in the week. A ton of people are going to be disapointed by this
  8. Just had it confirmed from Roger's message board - it is also listed on Tom Stephan (superchumbo's) website Looks like its going to be the Space Closing Party - It sucks that it is so late in the week - I'll still be there until Wednesday morning but everyone else I know will be gone by then
  9. We were talking about Roger Sanchez
  10. Interesting - so far everything I've seen including the website says doors open at 2am - I guess if you are going to pay all that $$ for Morillo (which I'm sure is a TON) you might as well have him play for 8 hours. Keep this board posted if anyone sees or hears the official anouncement
  11. I'm hearing Monday night at Space - one of the moderators on Roger's message board said probably the day after Morillo's party (like last year) - The only other day it could be is Saturday Night - but I think Deep Dish has had a lock on the Saturday Night @ Space for the last few years now
  12. There is usually a smaller room in the back that plays hip-hop - although the last time I was there on NYE they were playing house too. My guess is he'll go on somewhere in the range of 3-4 am and play until 9 or 10 (maybe later if there is still a good crowd) - yes this is afterhours and it puts Drais to shame. It's everything Vegas lacked in the form of afterhours - Big Name DJ's - big room - great vibe for a Vegas club
  13. Another cool thing about this one - its Friday night - so you can still stay out late and it won't effect you plans for the Superbowl like if it was on Saturday
  14. FUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCK YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! My jaws just dropped when I saw that - didn't think I would see him until the Subliminal Party in Miami - that just made my whole week
  15. Taken from Morillo's Website:rock: He is also doing the Ultra Fest on Saturday and afterhours @ Space on Friday March 18th
  16. This place is easily the best afterhours in Vegas - IMO it blows Drais out of the water. Tons more room to Dance and move around - plus it looks like they are commited to bringing in big DJ's and top notch music
  17. Memorial Day is always the last Monday in May - this year it is May 29th
  18. I agree - Vegas needs an afterhours with more of a Dark/Big Room feel to it. Something like a NY or Miami has to offer. I'm not a fan of Drais(No offense to anyone who works there - just my personal preference) because A) its too red/bright in there the music is average at best C)there's no room to dance. I know tons of tourists flock there every weekend - but there are only in a few days a year and up to this point there haven't been many other options. Vegas definitely needs something different that is local friendly - and I've heard that is what they are shooting for. With Farsheed (Vegas's #1 House DJ -without a doubt) and them bringing in Big Dj's like Boris this weekend - I think they'll do really well BTW presales for Boris this weekend dropped down to $30 - maybe some of the bitching on here helped
  19. Boris (Crobar NY) is playing at the Empire Ballroom (Old Utopia)
  20. I heard this a few weeks back and now ICE's site has it confirmed - has anyone heard about New Years Eve? Steve Lawler in Vegas - NICE!!
  21. Anyone in town for Halloween - Boris (One of Crobar NY's resident DJ's) is flying out to play at the Empire Ballroom (old Utopia) on Saturday Oct. 29th. Just found this out from one of my boys who works w/ him in NY - I know there are a few JP/Boris fans on this board so I wanted to give you the heads up. Gonna be a good night!
  22. Anyone else going? Its been over 4 months since he's been here - can't wait for tonight!!!
  23. Just thought I'd post it in case anyone was wondering - I originally heard it was October 2nd but I called today and the HR confirmed it was the 25th
  24. Its way too early to tell - check back in about a month - things don't get announced out here all that early. I'm sure there will be a Club Rubber party at Rain and some nice events at ICE - halloween usually has some great parties. Right now all the emphasis is on Labor Day - but hopefully come mid September clubs will start announcing events
  25. I'd take a chance and check it out - this is not normally the party I would attend - but there is no way I would miss out on a JP party. If you dress like a "HO" - I mean really revealing, there is probably a chance you will get bothered. If that is your main concern - don't go all out in your costume if you wear one at all. Paying the $20 no costume tax and go in normal clothing is an option too. But to miss out on hearing him play at such a huge party like this is a big mistake IMO. There aren't many good options this weekend in Vegas for good house music since Oakenfold is at ICE not one (which is bad enough) but 2 nights in a row
