  1. Are you only 18 or are your guests 18? And i guess it depends on if your looking for superstar djs only or great djs in general theres a bit of a difference. Cause i would suggest checking out Sullivan Room on Fri Dec 28th for CHARLES WEBSTER. So many djs have played his remixes and productions over the yrs and not only is he a great producer but hes a great dj. Also on fri jan 4th i would suggest going to check out Pacha for STIMULUS RESPONSE 2YR ANNIVERSARY in the Main Room. It will give you a taste of the next generation of djs coming out of nyc. The Urban Relief Project, Lola, Keith Blackstone will be spinning. For more info on them check out www.myspace.com/stimulusresponsenyc and look at the blog section for live sets/mixes/video clips/pics. And on Sat Jan 5th i would say go to CIELO (which is my fave club in nyc) and hear TEDD PATTERSON. Hes also been around for many yrs and is treated and mobbed like a rock star in italy and japan. Hes my 2nd fave dj in the world. Will keep you update on other names that will be coming down. Also theres so many parties during the week depending on what tpe of crowd and music your into. That you should def try and see/hear lots of different things nyc has to offer. If your into hip hop top 40.mash up celebrity bottle service im not your man and i cant answer those questions.
  2. The man was a regular at the Paradise Garage and started off playing house before evolvin to trance and now his current sound. Great cd i think i lost mines.
  3. If someone asks someone to help promote something and that person doesnt have the slightest clue or resources, then something is wrong.
  4. I believe he lives in jersey now, laying low for a few months working on a some tunes for spring.
  5. Yeah i forgot about this. And all the things i listed arent only about HOUSE either.
  6. Fyi: Only Keith Blackstone of Stimulus Response will be spinning and hes on from 11pm-12am.
  7. 10PM-8AM The man had me the whole night. I had so much fun and thought the music was off the meters. A lil bit of everything and anything, just the way i like it. He ended with LED ZEPELLING "Whole Lotta Love" Lots of cool costumes thruout the night and damn ladies were a mixture sexy slutty and classy. Sometimes i couldnt even dance straight from staring lol. OFF to bed, when i wake up its party time at Sullivan Room tonight. Hope everyone else had as much fun as i did. I didnt think it was gonna be this packed guess i was wrong.
  8. As for movies/documentaries you can try out "Maestro" "Hang the dj" (i dont own this one YET lol) "High tech soul" "The Unusual Suspects" "Paris is burning"
  9. Heres some books/videos i reccomend for those who are really curiouse about the history of this scene/culture. If im missing anything please add. Mel Cheren "Keep on dancing my life and the Paradise Garage" Tim Lawrence " Love saves the day" a history of american dance music culture 1970-1979. Part 2 is still in the works and its currently being called "After Paradise" 1980-1992 Kai Fikentscher "You better work" Bill Brewster and Frank Broughton "Last night a dj saved my life" Or the newer revised edition from 2006. Sean Bidder "The Rough guide to house" But you can also watch the 3hr DOCUMENTARY of the same titile i prefer the doc over the book. You can find the links to watch download here from this thread. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6000267013777292744&q=pump+up+the+volume&hl=en http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4386890041867315514&q=pump+up+the+volume&hl=en http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8526700901374412417&q=pump+up+the+volume&hl=en

  11. Hes playing the whole night and will start around 9-10pm when the parade ends. Party will only go on till about 5am.

  14. Silverbull presents: "DOMINA" Noun 1. (Old English Law) A title formerly given to noble ladies who held a barony in their own right. And thats exactly what will take place at SULLIVAN ROOM on Thursday November 1st. Each of these 3 Djs has their own unique sounds and have proven to hold court at their own respective outings. From rocking local lounges and Main Rooms all over the city expect nothing but beautiful banging beats from these beautiful sensual ladies. Lola (Stimulus>Response, Deep See) Lauren Lane (Secret Society, Followthedj.com) Danielle Nicole (myspace.com/Djdaniellenicole) Sullivan Room 218 Sullivan St btwn West 3rd and Bleecker St 9pm-4am $10 All Night long 2 for 1 drink Specials till 11pm.
  15. lots of different answers from nye and march who knows.
  16. They are trying to bring in name djs recently look who has palyed their. TENAGLIA SASHA QUENTIN HARRIS LEE BURRIDGE DAVID MORALES LOUIE VEGA And while the venue itsself has a terrible reputation i think the main room is great and i really enjoy myself on sunday nights once a month for the Kiss My Black Ass parties with Quentin Harris and guests. Danny T there was abit strange but musically was great. To me its always bout the dj not the venue. If enough people or fans of a dj make it to wherever the dj is playing they create the vibe and make it a great night. And this whole touristy arguement is stupid, EVERY CLUB on EVERY NIGHT at EVERY PARTY has tourist, prove me wrong.
  17. I managed to hear cox hear and there and i enjoyed it very much, more on the housier side then hard techno. Much better then he played with tenaglia last time. Didnt stick around for Calderone. The party im involve with, STIMULUS RESPONSE was rockin the basement from 10pm-10am.
  18. Sin Sin on thurs is cool Blue Sky thurs has various house djs from the local scene. Moomia has different parties Tues, Thurs, Suns as well. Le souk is another place with parties everyday during the week. Label Lounge in the les also has some good house beats thurs-sun, a bit on the smaller side but very good beats. I know Keybar on thurs use to be dope havent been in a while. Theres also this party at Sullivan Room on Nov 1st which i promise you will have good music and its only 10 bucks http://bbs.clubplanet.com/new-york/333038-domina-w-lola-lauren-lane-danielle-nicole-sullivan-room-thurs-11-1-a.html Apt on sundays has an amazing party. 19. Well this is taking place over at Pacha and SHELTER is always after hrs for the past 16yrs and theres some serious dancing goin on there. You could always check out cielo as well as its a beautiful club and intimate not to nuts. Have fun whatever you do,.
  20. I think cox will be on around 1-4 and calderone 4 or 5 till closing. Maybe they will play together from 4-5. I cant remember the names of the opening djs. But i can tell you Stimulus Response will be taking place in the basement. Guestlist info shoot me a pm or email the addy on the flyer.
  21. In Pacha's history of unbelievable DJ pairings, this one looms the largest. Victor Calderone gets to indulge his new techno lust with the king, the master, the Zeus of the genre, Carl Cox. Never before have two DJs so relentless shared the Pacha booth. We have reinforced the roof and triple-shellacked the dancefloor in preparation. Get there early and claim your spot, it's gonna be a long one. Pacha resident DJs Lola, Keith Blackstone, The Urban Relief Project (Sean Cormac, John Cacciatorre) and host Silverbull make up the Stimulus>Response formula. Since June of 2006 Stimulus>Response has held it down in the Main Room of Pacha NY playing along side DJs: Wally Lopez, Exacta (twice), Tedd Patterson, Cevin Fisher and Oscar G (twice), and most recently with Dj Isis from amsterdam. They have also supported Main Room parties featuring DJs Louie Vega, Juluis Papp, Erick Morillo, Junior Vasquez, Oscar G & Ralph Falcon (Murk), Victor Calderone, Behrouz with their own Basement Jams. And will be on duty for this big night of music. As always enjoy "SPECIAL" admission b412am by REPLYING to this email or by signing up for our guestlist over at STIMULUSRESPONSE@GMAIL.COM with your name and number of guests. For this particular party the "Special" admission is on a first come first serve basis. Pacha 618 west 46th st 10pm- 10am or ??? For Video Clips, Dj sets, and pictures involving the Stimulus Response Family, check out. www.myspace.com/stimulusresponsenyc See you on the dancefloor.
