  1. i'm going for the first time in september. can't wait!! will be there from sep 9-14. is anyone else gonna be there around that time? also for those that have been before: which clubs were your favorites? what did you do in the daytime besides beach/ sleep? been checking the ibiza- spotlight site but i also wanted some local opinions.
  2. Bling, sometimes it's better to discuss your personal thoughts/ feelings with CLOSE friends and family instead of making a thread out of it. but since you are laying it all on the table, i can tell you that there is NOTHING that compares to holding your child for the first time (i have a 5 month old son) and it has not ended our social life (thanks to family help occasionally)
  3. caught him at 1015 folsom in san fran. a few years back and the mofo rocked it proper. GO SEE HIM
  4. ok, i will be the one to go against the grain...just saw the movie, and yes the special effects were spectacular, but wtf did you expect with today's movie- making technology? the movie itself was good, but i wouldn't care to go watch it again. i'm sure the kiddies off on summer vacation will make this one of the highest grossing films in history. on a side note, the spiderman ride at islands of adventure is the BEST ride i have eva been on.
  5. ANY help in getting the clown out of office is appreciated.
  6. two more chicane classics: offshore & lost you somewhere...both on FFTMC..that whole album is
  7. yes, most chicane tracks are PERFECT for rolling the windows down and driving nowhere. the "Far From The Maddening Crowds" album is still one of my favorites to chill out to.....the "autumn tactics" track was re- mixed by thrillseekers; couldn't think of it earlier
  8. ok for all the cheeseheads that love trance w vocals: going through my collection i came across autumn tactics (chicane). if you haven't heard it check it out...btw there is a down- tempo housey version as well
  9. a table was the only way to have a good time w tiesto there...ezgoing74 where did you get the $1200 price for a table?? we paid $800 for 6 people. plenty of room to dance and no running back and forth to the bar. i thought his set saturday was better than the wmc.
  10. it's obvious you are a staunch republican, but for you to drag this out is kinda moronic. one is a democrat, the other a republican....wtf...they are suppose to have differences
  11. sorry i've confused you. you posted quotes from people stating (in a nutshell) that they hated reagan and are happy he's dead. i don't agree with that type of bitter hatred towards anyone. hope that clears the confusion.
  12. stupid ass comments from stupid ass people. don't think for a second that there aren't just as many stupid ass republicans in this country. i am a democrat and i wouldn't agree with any of those comments.
  13. admittedly, i'm not a big hockey fan...but it's always nice to see the hometown boys bring home a world championship. florida teams have been DOMINATING the past few years...tampa bay bucs, florida marlins, and now the lightning
  14. looks like an interesting book, especially if you are tired of listening to all the right- wing lunatics out there. curious to see if anyone has read the book. i read an excerpt on line a few days back. also worth checking out... mediamatters.org
  15. saw lawler @ wmc and state ROCKED. gerry was a great host for the night.
  16. jody vukas is a bad ass on the decks...he was invited by danny t. to open for him in nyc a while back. i'm pretty sure jody is the new sat. night resident at blue.
  17. want some more info about sasha in venezuela
  18. LMFAO .....saleen, tell me you don't really have a male roomate... aren't you over 30? this would mean you are either gay or a complete loser (probably both) oh, and the jets will suck a big dick again this year:rofl:
  19. you can love your country and hate your president and his decisions.
  20. the jets will suck a big fat dick again this year...was anyone here alive when they got their only SB victory??
  21. saw jody vukas spin a GREAT dark house set on friday, march 5 at karma. karma is a great place to grab a few drinks with friends BEFORE heading to a real club on sobe. NO dance floor and a primarily clueless (as far as house music) college- type crowd.
  22. lawler had everyone mental (esp. the last two hours or so) spotted in vip section @ state: nick warren, sasha, james zabiela, oscar g....i also went to the cafeteria for after hours and saw lawler and nick warren still hanging out. someone said that lawler was gonna spin for a while at the cafeteria, but i left around 8:30 and didn't see him playing.
  23. i'm sure it was a great night for those that made it..........but my friends who bought pre-sale tickets for $35 never got in. they got there late (2:30) and crobar was only accepting cash at that point (80 fuckin' dollars) and denying people who already had tickets entry. a big FUCK YOU to the assholes that allowed that to happen
  24. they completely tore the place apart last night!!! i know a lot of people think they're over-rated these days, but lemme tell you this was the best set i've heard from them in the eight years that i've gone to wmc. the shorter set left them no time for dark boring shit, just a great upbeat, bangin' set the ENTIRE night. i'm not much of a trainspotter, so hopefully someone else can come up with a tracklisting. even though $50 to get in and $8 beers adds up to a lot of money for a few hours, at 5am i had no regrets.
  25. just got back from nikki's...it was a bit crazy...music was spot on at times and sucked at times...but the vibe was great!!!
