i fit into just about every clique at high school fresh/soph year.. then jr year i just said fuck it and barely went to school, and was known as the rebel.. but i don't really miss it much

they either totally shy away from the culture and try to repel everything that is "back home" in order to become "american" or they're stuck in the homeland not wanting to adjust...

it's a status thing. For the most part, the people that live in crappy places but have NICE cars aren't the educated class of the immigrants, but they want to prove they got the money, so by going and buying this car, you're driving around, showing you have status. But the educated ones got the nice homes and the nice cars.... it's showing your worth...

yup.... for the most part, esp in my culture and being a female, you stay at home and move out when you get married, start a new family life... not saying it always happens, b/c my sisters got her own house and not married, and i didn't live at home for college, and I lived in ny for a little bit on my own... but it just makes things easier in a way.... i still do what i want for the most part in my house, if i want my friends to come over whenever, I can, the basement's finished and it's like an apartment, kitchen, bathroom, shower, a couple of rooms...

i mean what's so wrong with living with your parents? a. i'm saying money b. my house is dope c. i don't always have to worry about buying groceries all the time
