Yea I was going to give the "RBS" shit about that but... I'd substitute "better" for "your favorite" next time Give me shit ??? Obviously the one you like is BETTER than the ohter for your reasons. I even ask to explain why you liked them better to educate others who don't really know all of the DJ's in this Genre. This isn't a right and wrong answer. This is just to educate. Just Saying....

Who's better and why? I myself like Carl Cox's style better. It seems like he plays with more energy. But I'm a newbie on this. Josh Wink in second.
  5. Here is a quote from Funky House Music. Look at the last sentece. 8) That night we checked out the AM Only party @ Nocturnal, and the World Sessions @ Klub. Let’s begin with the AM Only event. Upon settling into the club, and investigating the multiple areas including a fantastic terrace, we found ourselves mingling behind the main floor DJ booth socializing with a “who’s who†of the funky house music scene. Among the crowd, cats like Bad Boy Bill, DJ Dan, Hatiras, Steve Smooth, David Garcia, CZR, Richard Vission, Jon Pegnato (thanks for the t-shirts), and many more were either performing, or just enjoying the social scene. As expected, the FHM team took serious networking advantage. As for the DJ sets – the main room saw DJ Dan & Bad Boy Bill playing heavy hitting, dark electro-influenced house sets. Following that, Donald Glaude stepped up and dropped one of his trademark cheerleading funkdafied floor burners that really took the main room by storm. The terrace was surprisingly an unexpected gem that evening. Notable sets were performed by Josh Wink & Loco Dice, who set our minds a blaze with their wicked acid house sets. There’s no doubt Miami has a love for quality underground music.

  10. Great...Getting a cab will be easy this weekend. Cabbers hate this weekend so they hang out by West Ave looking for cab riders that do tip and don't try to run out of the cab without paying.
  11. Damn Pod... Give it like an hour or so to get some promotion before you X it. Don't tell me you fell to Ramon's crew too ;D

  15. I think EDM's decrease in popularity is because there is no marketing and no front men that push this down people's throught. Hip Hop is everywhere - From Sports to TV to Radio to a Lifestyle. It has taken 20 years to build. Now my theory is back then, Chitown had very creative cats putting together beats that had a dance feel to them. Then hip hop marketed so well that these creative beatmakers (aspiring as well, from all over the US) shifted to hip hop. Now, everyone wants to make beats for hip hop - the money is there to be made and popularity controls it. Now EDM has the rest of the beat makers who aren't really motivated to make that next big record for a popular artist. My opinion of course.

It's getting harder and harder to find vinyl at good price. $10.99 for one mix blows vs $ 1.99 for the mix you want.... CDJ's - here I come.
