i think spirit will be fine especially Fridays with Made although their Saturdays are a mess...also i like how dark it is in Spirit which gives it an underground feeling which Crobar lacks...most importantly my ears only ring slightly after I leave Spirit but for days after Crobar...the bouncers are nice at both places but the Spirit crowd in general seems much rougher than Crobar's ie. i've seen many more fights break out at Spirit but rarely at Crobar...both places are much better than Marquee and other lounges where people stand around with drinks and ask questions like "what do you do" and "where do you live" esp. if you like to dance imo now with Avalon gone I am sure Spirit will be fine

lol...please stop making these kinds of statements and calling it "the truth"...this is not true...i am asian and non-asians come up to me all the time and start conversations and I start conversations as well...admittedly the conversation starters are a little lame like "do you come here a lot" but whatever...if you go with the attitude like " i am an outsider and shall not interact with non-asians" then it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy and nothing will change for the better...

that goes without saying....

u sound cool but I have a serious question...why do most of the Asians at the NYC clubs just hang around each other all night rather than making any effort to meet and maybe even dance with blacks, whites, guidos, latins, whatever...i think if you did that u would see that most people at clubs are not prejudiced and r actually fun to party with...

its true, actually they always come up and offer me drugs and often won't take my money but i don't accept freebies because then they try to hang around you all night...they are actually very generous though

really ...i've seen plenty of very attractive (more so than other races imo) asians at clubs who can dance....havent you?

But remember to add the words "chop chop" while clapping your hands for VIP service...

im korean so i am not ragging on asians...i am just describing what i saw, that's it...i thought it was crazy because i never saw anything like that and thought it was funny ...end of story

or practice their karate or kung fu lol ... btw at the DT party on Friday at like 3:00 a.m. , I was in the middle of the dancefloor, I turn around and all I see is this flying crouching tiger hidden dragon roundhouse kick flying thru the air targeting another Asian kid...the dancefloor immediately clears out and three Spirit bouncers chase after these delinquents.. that was so crazy...did anyone else see that???

He spoke to us, gave his e-mail address out and asked if any of us left wanted to be put on list to come see him for free in Miami...he's so sweett...He played some softer songs like Take me to the Water Summertime (some 80's hit i think), mixed it up with Dibiza (which was awesome) and then ended after he played that old song Eye in the Sky by I think it he said Parson poroject???? (it was a nice soft song to end with)...
