  1. Did you guys meet online? Is your friendship the result of posting on this website?
  2. Ahahahahow Stupid I Hope He Keeps It, Sells It To The Yankees, And Then We Have A Big Ceremony In Which We Blow Up The Ball The Way They Did In Chicago
  3. We should have given him 20 million just for the hell of it.
  4. The Yankees are expected to win every year. EXPECTED! Re-read that because it's very important. It is expected of us to win every fucking year. Why? Because that is what the motherfucking Yankees do. They win. All the fucking time. In 2000 I was fucking sick of WS rings. Sick! I couldn't take it anymore. Every fucking year: TICKER TAPE PARADE. Boring. Let someone else win. So we did.
  5. When you make the most money, it stands to reason, you will also spend the most money. The Yankees have the highest revenue, one of the best attendance in all of baseball, richest cable deal in all of fucking sports, we've won the most rings, put the most players in the HOF by far....HELLO!? WE ARE THE MOST STORIED FRANCHISE OF ALL TIME! CAN BOSTON SAY ANY OF THIS? It's amazing what one year of winning can do to people.
  6. Obviously the biggest companies in the world like McDonalds and GM are going to spend the most money on advertising. Alot more than their smaller competition. But that doesn't mean they will always have the biggest sales. It's the same shit with baseball. The Yankees spent the most last year but still didn't win. Anyway, bottom line, the Red Sox will forever be known for their futility, and the Yankees, for their success. I love when threads turn out like this. It's now worth responding to.
  7. YANKEES '05! Look for me on Opening day at the Stadium. I'll be the one behind home plate wearing a pastel blue Vineyard vine polo with my collar erect, of course. You'll know it's me because I'll have this sort of 'I just got off my sailboat look' manjinbubu, warning on the 'spankees' comment.
  8. Hello, my name is Manuel. kayluhb paid me $1.50 to write this post for him since he is too busy accumulating wealth more efficiently elsewhere. Kayluhb would like to dismiss djmadness' plebian lexicon as a grammatically inferior tirade. Also, kayluhb is yelling at me from his study that your CD is so yawn. I must go n - oh wait a minute - kayluhb is now yelling to me that he has a very 'I just got off my sailboat look' today and he loves it.
  9. Anybody have any information on when the Spring collection is out? Hedi Slimane is God.
  10. The wide french collars and cuffs make for an excellent dress shirt supplement to the usual lineup of Brioni and Piombo, even though they have the nasty habit of lowering the average shirt value in my closet.
  11. Hulk Hogans daughter is fucking gross. What the hell is wrong with you? Whoever said that.
  12. He's going to further 'her' career? What, is he becoming a fucking agent? Is he going to represent someone big? Also, he was pretty good 'at' The butter fly effec? Is 'the butter fly effec' some type of trade or activity that he's excelled in? Like, ' there's Derek Jeter, he's pretty good AT baseball? oh, and 'butterfly' is one word, not two. I know you see 'butter' and you think of the tasty yellow stuff you put on your rilled cheese...but it's actually just part of the whole word: butterfly. See? butterfly. Here, now you try. Edited because the fucking 'r' key on my computer sucks.
  13. What are you, Entertainment Weekly? The poor guy mentioned something about Ashton Kutcher and you decided to give him some editorial into his career.
  14. Yeah, I think that's already been established. We've gone through 4 pages discussing how the food sucks, and here you chime in with: 'the problem is none of the food at these places has any taste.' Like we were sitting here perplexed awaiting someone like you to pop in and explain to us why the food is so bad.
  15. lmaaoooooooo liq, first, I want to congratulate you for making THE LIST Second, I hope English is your second language. And third, I'd like the address of your high school, as I'd like to write them a letter reprimanding them for your lack of literacy skills.
  16. But Randy Johnson's numbers were better. Randy J Santana wins 16 20 losses 14 6 ERA 2.60 2.61 SO 290 265 BB 44 54 CG 4 1 SHO 2 1 H 177 156 HR 18 24 R 88 70 ER 71 66 IP 245.7 228.0 Obviously Santana had a much better record, for a much better team. Actually the more I look at the numbers, the more I think their numbers would be identitcal if they had pitched the same number of innings.
  17. Is that good enough to finally beat Atlanta and win their division? It better be. They're spending a shitload of money Not 100% sure on this lineup, but: Reyes Matsui Beltran Delgado Floyd Wright Cameron Piazza That's not bad at all. Maybe one of best lineups in the N.L? Roataion: Pedro Glavine Benson Zambrano Trachsel Zambrano is key here. I know their bullpen is for shit. Seriously, is this enough? Or are they going to be Baseball's version of the Knicks?
  18. See you there for the closing party.
  19. nah I dont think so. Who is the one guy who imposes fear into batters? RJ. Santana doesnt have that yet. Well maybe hell have that this year if he gets off to a great start. If Randy wouldve pitched for STL last year or someone like that he couldve won like 22 or 23 games. Shit, he won sixteen for Arizona!!!
  20. I'll tell you what, if you can compete with this team that we have, then you have my respect. six HOF candidates, I believe, and 18 All Stars? lollll wow
  21. yeah that clubhouse is going to be a freak show. Who knows what the fuck is gonna be going on. we obviously spend a ton of fucking money, right? but we also make a ton of money. we have the richest cable deal in sportstoday. We have contracts with big companies i.e Adidas for 10 years at 94 million. I think we have the highest attendance (or is it Anaheim?) Anyway the point is we have alot of revenue...more than any team in baseball. Were like the Manchester U. of baseball....we buy buy buy. We have the best players because we pay for them. Of course I always like this approach. I like young guys coming up through the system. its exciting watching a guy like Kazmir make his first start in the majors. but, oh well, thats not us. Many teams have this small maket approach and theyve had minimal success with it. Oakland and Minnesota being the two most notable. But they havent made it past the ALDS. (Im talking over the last 10 years or so) Oakland had the best starting three I have ever seen and they couldnt win. Now, they gave up two and its almost like theyre starting over again because they dont want or, rather, they CANT pay these guys. That sucks. Its like a vicious cycle. Now theyll develop Harden and Blanton and then let them go in a few years when theyre fully developed. Anyway, its clear Georgie boy has a different vision than the rest of baseball. I think he wants to blow everyone out of the water for the next couple of years and then retire.
  22. Trading Vasquez for the best pitcher in the game isn't exactly 'giving up on him' It's an upgrade. A short term upgrade. Trading a player doesn't always have to imply that a team has given up on him. If they can get someone better, then, shit, why not?
  23. Well I'd rather risk more money on the best pitcher in baseball (debatable, of course) than a fatty like Wellls. So, you admit the Sox overpayed Varitek, right? Not having signed Beltran doesnt mean that we cant afford him. It just means even the Yankees have limits. Apparently we've reached it. Desperation? Maybe. I see it as a 'we wont make the same mistake twice' type of situation. Actually, I think getting low level starters like Wade Miller and Wells is moe an act of desperation. The contracts I know nothing about. I don't care. We have huge contracts and a huge payroll and it remains to be seen what will happen in a few years. I don't care about 2007. I care about 2005. I don't care about Jeter when he's 40. They'll figure something out, they always do. The Yankees didn't have the WS wapped up last year. At least I dont think so. We had a shaky rotation all year, there was the whole Giambi mess, Minnesota was tough, and Boston was favored in the ALCS. Anyway, I still think losing Pedro was disastrous. I can'twait until pitchers & catchers. How many more days?
  24. Just got off the cell with Anthony Mocci. He informed me that someone actually called him after it was posted that Studio was on the block for 12 mil. He also went on to say that the place was sold for 12 million YEN. Not dollars.
  25. It's also amazing to me how, no matter what positive things there are to say about something/someone, you pick the ONE negative thing and completely fucking exploit it. Knoublach was a great hitter, who ran well and was a good guy to have in the clubhouse. Who fucking cares about his arm? He's at 2B! btw, by 'you' I mean Mets fans.
