One thing I hate about the NFL's policy on hiring coaches. An organization MUST interview at least one minority (or is it specific to black?) candidate for any vacancy. WTF if I'm an owner or GM and I want to hire someone spefically who just happens to be white...Well, then why do I have to waste my fucking time in interviewing someone I'm not going to want anyway? It's my fucking team. Fuck off. Does the NFL actually believe there is bias? If a GM/owner believed that a certain black dude could take his team to the SB, and would make a much better coach than the white candidate....Don't you think they would hire the black guy??? 'Ok boss, on this corner we have Jerome Jackson. He's won at all levels, has three SB rings, is great with players, and gets along with management. Great guy' 'Oh, and he's black'. 'And over here we have Chuck Weinstien. He has a record of 23-42, is infamous for his unnecessary brutal workout regimens which pisses off players, and has an alcohol problem'. I had this argument with one of my black co workers today. He was trying to tell me that all of sports is dominated by blacks. He said ESPECIALLY baseball and basketball. Now, I definitely agree about the NBA. But, how could he say all of sports? How about tennis, golf, hockey, soccer, lacrosse, etc...? But more importantly how in the fucking world could he say that about baseball? I remember reading somewhere that there were like 90 black players in the majors last year. 90! Under 10%, I believe. I asked him to name me some black players off the top of his head. The first name he gave me was Barry Bonds. The second was Sheffield. The third was Sammy Sosa. Sammy Sosa! OF course, he didn't realize that Sosa is Dominican, not black. After that, he was a blank. He kept naming guys who he thought MIGHT be black, but were Latino instead. It was ridiculous. Anyway, the point is alot of people think this way and it's annoying. Baseball is dominated by white players. I think 25% of baseball players are Latino. Couple that number with blacks and you get about 35%. Oh, and as far as the NBA goes...I think with the recent influx of European players, the ratio of white to black players will even out eventually.

IF the mets would've kept Kazmir I wouldve liked them alot in a couple of years. OF course, they can still be very good. Wright. Reyes. Matsui. Awesome infield. They have this Venezuelan pitcher Petit who should be really good. Lastings Milledge, I really love. Seriously, whatever happened to Royce Ring? I thought he was supposed to be their closer of the future?

Tampa Bay. BJ Upton. This kidis fucking awesome. Saw him play alittle last year. wow he can hit for power and average and is fast as shit. onlyhis defense is questionable Delmon Young. First overall pick last year, I think. joey Gathright. One of the fastest players around. And he can hit. Cal Crawford Scott Kazmir. This team is gonna be really fucking good in a couple of years.

Wright was the Ace of Atlanta's staff last year. Injury free. I think he won something like 15 games and an ERA of 3.17. And he's our number 4!

Well, if you're gonna talk about bad backs you should probably mention Wells too. But Johnsons back isnt nearly as bad as Wells' RJ was fine last year. Put up ridiculous numbers for a very bad team. He was pitching lights out just a few months ago....What makes you think he can't continue that this year? Also, I always thought RJ was 6' 10''? Giving up Vaz IMO wasnt a mistake. Were getting the best pitcher in the game today. I dont care about his age. The Yanks live for today. Not tomorrow. And today, we have the best pitcher on our team. I don't know if Bernie is the worst center fielder in the AL. Could be. I dont know what the Yanks are going to do with him or CF. But the rest of the lineup is just insane. Couple that with the best rotation in baseball and we can win 110 next year. About your rotation: You seem to be content. Thats fine. But Id be alot more nervous if I were you. Losing Pedro was terrible. Very stupid. Fuck ups the makeup of the team and not to mention the chemistry. I know Manny and the immigrant arent happy. Well, actually their both immigrants. Anyway, Sometimes you have to overpay your stars to keep them. A few more million and youd still have Pedro and a much better rotation. I dont want to start another war here but your opening day starter is a guy who called the Yanks asking of any interest. Cashman basically said 'nah no interest' We wouldnt even consider him for the #5. And about the 4 guys making 90 mil....dude, we can afford it. As long as there isnt any salary cap the Yanks will always spend spend spend. The Yankee organization has so much fucking money flowing through it. A conglomerate. Oh, and you wanna talk about overpaying? Look at Variteks contract. Nobody, and I mean nobody even came close to offering that kind of money. I think St Louis was ready to make an offer alot lower than that. My question is if they can overpay Tek, why not Pedro?

The Yankees don't seem to be serious on Beltran. It'd be nice, but I don't think were getting him. Too much money. Quick Q, though: How come the Mets weren't willing to shell out 75 mil for Guererro(who is much better than beltran) but are willing to give Beltran 9 figures? Didn't he hit something like .250 last year? 100 RBI? I don't know what we'll do with CF. Bernie isn't exactly a bad choice. I can deal with it. Just look at our rotation and lineup. Crazy. Giambi's at first next year. Tino on the bench. Awesome. Boston fans: did you get better this year, or worse? Serious question.
