What does this guy sound like live? I only heard this Evolution promo album by him and it was pretty crappy... just a bunch of dark progressive trance, excessively looped with very few switchups.

There is not really any objective way to settle this debate but I can assure you that Avalon is BY FAR the youngest crowd I have encountered in the club scene, and from other posts I've seen, other people seem to agree with me. The fact that it's often 18+ admission doesn't exactly help your argument much. And as far as nothing else mattering but the music, you're wrong. When I see those skanky gogo dancers they hire gyrating on those platforms with drunken frat kids pawing at them and trying to stuff dollar bills down their pants, I don't care if Jesus H Christ is doing a live remix of Plastikman, I get turned off and wish I was somewhere else. That sort of behavior is just impossible to ignore. Also, when have you ever heard of a Girls Gone Wild event held at Spirit or Cielo? Exactly.

You can pull that dress off at Spirit, or at Crobar during afterhours, but it's probably a no-go at Cielo. You're going to need to dress a bit trendier there. Also, I forgot to mention that Spirit tends to close anywhere between 6 AM and noon, depending on the night... whereas Cielo closes early, around 4 AM. ALSO, other small clubs that attract talent are Sullivan Room and Canal Room.

Don't go to Avalon. They pull some great talent but the crowd is too young and immature to deal with. I'm in my early 20's and I feel like I'm babysitting when I'm over there. So that basically leaves Cielo, Spirit, and Crobar. Crobar has, as mentioned, a pretentious and egotistical crowd. And the talent isn't quite up to par with what Cielo and Spirit bring in. So, in my opinion, you basically have a binary choice: Cielo for a more chic crowd in a small, intimate space Spirit for a much larger, dirtier club with more of a warehouse feel

Morales is such a mediocre DJ. He played almost exactly the same set he played exactly a month ago. Same songs at the same time.... That being said, the crowd was pretty good and there were a lot of suitable bitches....

If I remember correctly, DJ Vibe spun on Saturday, the night after the JP party at Warehouse....

I've heard and liked Ritchie Santana... but never That Kid Chris... I thought I remembered some people ragging on him really badly in here?

Yea I've heard Meritt spin at Asseteria and he sounded good to me, but I was made a little bit too nervous by the crowd (tweakerville) to really cut loose and experience it.

Yea I'm a big fan of Chus and Ceballos.... and Superchumbo, D-Formation, DJ Nukem, and RPO..... Has anybody heard tracks by Krueger and Coyle? They got this pretty unique style, sounds almost like hard psychedelic tribal house. Check out Krueger and Coyle - Randy Expander. Sebastian Krueger was part of a few psytrance acts like Tarsis and Disco Slickers. Bit of a different album, it's 100% originally produced AFAIK.

Ya this mix is pretty solid. There are a few boring moments but overall its a good listen.

If anybody cares for my $0.02 here's my really quick 1 minute lounge review: Good: bungalow 8 cain - great (best lounge in city?) but almost downgraded to mediocre for having the worst door staff of any place in the world gypsy tea hiro - really depends which night u go on tho, best decor of any lounge in city at least pm lounge - best place to get in convos with hundreds of random ppl Mediocre: aer - has potential but attracts some really weird people apt b.e.d. blvd earth - one of the more innovative clubs atmospherically glo - probably gonna get downgraded to bad soon lotus - would be bad if it didn't have the highest girl/guy ratio out there marquee - downstairs sucks, upstairs is alright! pink elephant - hottest girls in city but that still can't save this place cuz it's too small and unfriendly... somebody please punch fabrizio in the face for me if they read this ruby falls select - so so, although it pretends to be something it's not soho 323 suede - almost bad if it weren't highly entertaining due to the comical behavior of its patrons wetbar - see previous entry Bad: 58 - ugh interior makes me want to puke bar 89 - tourist hell, feels like a walk thru liverpool bogarts - lol, looks like a barn that got converted into a bar duvet light lot 61 - sounding its death knell na - pretentious uninviting unfriendly limp neogaea - blaring house music without a cabaret license is ridiculous quo - disgusting stone rose suite 16 strata taj - youngest crowd in the city vela whiskey bar
