  1. I don't hate America "that much" ... I just feel compelled to say something whenever I hear somebody going on about how it's by far the best place to live in the world... which it's not. To which somebody is gonna ask, "then why don't you move somewhere better?" If I said I didn't live in the best neighborhood in New York City, nobody would get indignant and demand to know why I don't live on the Upper East Side. And I don't hate the sailors either... they're mostly victims of social injustice themselves, which is the point I'm trying to make. I'd rather not cheer them on and support them because I'd rather not see them fighting and dying over nothing. Some people say "I support the troops, not the war..." which is basically how I FEEL except that I'd rather just not actually SHOW support for the troops because the government would just confuse it with applause for its own policies and dirtywork.
  2. I'd really be interested in a poll that could tell me what percentage of ravekids that go dance to Sasha with glowsticks on E also support the war in Iraq. It's probably roughly around the percentage of pro-lifers who also support the death penalty. (High)
  3. I think the whole point was that we don't need to be at war right now... But thanks to all the sailors who defend us from Al Qaeda's formidable navy!
  4. Yeah, three cheers for America. We have a job program.... and it's called the military. Get a clue, heroism isn't a word that sticks to disadvantaged people who enter an imperial army because it's their only chance of moving up a notch in society or maybe paying for their $120,000 university tuitions. Maybe Pat Tillman was a hero, these people sure as hell aren't...
  5. Jealous of what? The fact that they get to sail around in boats all year long with nobody to talk to but a bunch of dudes with crew cuts and G.E.D.'s ? Oh wait... yeah.... I guess I am kinda jealous actually.
  6. Ewww is that this week? I was wondering when those genetic outcasts would return
  7. Are there any venues where good darkstep or techstep gets played regularly? Old stuff would be great too... like Ed Rush & Optical, Photek, Ram Trilogy, etc.. that sort of stuff. Trying to avoid anything with ragga or some stoned Jamaican guy freestyling over the beats... !
  8. I'm so glad Tiesto is spinning on a Sunday. I don't like going out on Sunday night, and it's great of Crobar to reserve their premium Friday-and-Saturday weekend slots for somebody that might not suck :)
  9. Who cares about how eclectic the range of songs he remixes is, if they just end up sounding like cheesy candyraver crap?
  10. Wow, those 10x10 pixel / 2 frame-per-second videos were stunning!
  11. this place officially sucks
  12. haaaaaaaaa ha ha ha Maybe Child Protective Services also has Avalon staked out, watching all the runaway 16 year old girls and boys getting drugged and dateraped. Would be funny if they raided the club at the same time and fought over the teenage Chinese illegals.
  13. Maybe in some obscure out-of-style photo. Bush or chimp...
  14. My consolations. Worst bar in universe....
  15. DJ Stoupe? Heh probably the greatest DJ in hiphop right now....
  16. The music was sick. Too much fruit on the floor. Which isn't normally a problem except that gay people never go home. So it basically never cleared out enough for dancing room.
  17. Uhhh... a crowbar is a heavy iron bar used for prying things open, genius.
  18. Yeah without drugs the kids wouldn't have their 12 hour JP and Boris marathons lol (and I'm talking about it from the DJ side, not the crowd)
  19. Cool, I'll see you there along with 3000 other people that work every day 9 to 5 so they can scrounge up enough cash to front a Tiesto cover and about 10 $6 Poland Spring bottles and a massive amount of E so they can suffocate their sorrows in cheesy trance. Or maybe NOT. HAHAHAHA SUCKAS
  20. Yea it's always great to see people who post messages to an electronic BBS about clubbing calling fellow posters "nerds" .... ha ha
  21. Well surprising as it may be, you're wrong... I know a fair amount of people that make the trek out to Fuel frmo NYC after Disco closes because it stays open way longer than anything else (way into Sunday evening). Also it's always got decent music and the party is kept alive even if there's only a few people there.
