It kinda sucks, you would think that JP's people would have steered him away from Exit, what with it's history and all, and just try to find another space. I know that the thinking was that it was able to handle the crowds that he could bring in, but it's a marked club... All that undercover work that they have been doing for years doesn't go out the window now that JP is leasing it. So now every weekend is going to be a chirade of people getting yanked out in hand-cuffs and it's not going to matter how big the place is because people (like myself) are going to stay away at all costs, who wants to deal with that shit??? turpentyine Posted March 21 Report Share Posted March 21 i think its great that they are constantly arresting all the drug assholes there, thats the whole point. i think after a while if these arrests will keep on going the crackheads will realize that black is not a good place to do drugs and will stop going there.if i was an owner of a club that had a drug problem in it i would ask the nypd to come in and do wut they are doing in black. that way the city will see that i am actually trying to do somethin and wont shut me down. The wakeup call for me (aside from the music going downhill) was seeing a K'ed out 17 year old girl lying seemingly lifeless in the basement of SF. Who the fuck wants to be around that shit? It's only gotten worse since then from all accounts. When I go out, I don't need to see people foaming at the mouth, throwing up and walking around like zombies. If that's your thing, more power to you. Unfortunately, that's what a large portion of JP's crowd has become. I can't imagine any club taking on JP after the police close down Black and wanting to have OD'ing clubbers and the NYPD inside their place every weekend.
