roberto643
Is He Spinning For 2 Hours?!!!
urbanstylz14o
I like Oakenfolds music but spending $50 at the door for only a couple of hours of him spinning is pushing it. I think I'll just stay home and listen to his sets for free.

superfrick
Yeh.I remember going to see him a few years ago on Thanksgiving Night. The place was jam-packed with thousands of people. I bought a ticket last minute and paid around $60. The guy showed up and spinned for 2 hours, and then left. What an outrage, and disrespect to the fans.I will never go to see him again, and will never buy his music.
moe03
everyone should boycott this night to get the message to jokenfoldRight on but very doubtful. The guy will still pack the place. It's like the Rolling Stones. Everytime they announce a new tour I'm like, oh brother, is anyone going to see these has beens? Sure enough, they sell out all their shows. Same thing will happen here. Don't get it.
lucky13
It's too bad that his sets are so short, b/c his track selection is usually on point. I guess he isn't the greatest techinical DJ in the world which might be why he only spins for 2 hours. Anyways, I still have respect for all that he's done in the way of producing, remixing, etc. over the years.

clinton
he spun some of the greatest sets in dance history in the 90sif you ever loved oakey, check him out sometime & see what hes playing in the new century. you might be pleasantly surprised that he still breaks tons of hard or melodic progressive/ trance. he'll prob play for about 3 hours at crobar. drdoom
everyone should boycott this night to get the message to jokenfoldIt doesn't matter - the club profits more on cheaper DJs.

nycjeff
Oakey was the one responsible for getting me into this scene in the first place. I used to see him all the time. Last time I saw him, though, had to be 2000. Why? For all the reasons already listed in this thread. We'd all respect the Stones more if they retired years ago, and same goes for Oakenfold...
