opala
I would have to say most recently 'Light Years' by Pearl Jam, but for anybody that likes any singer song-writers like Sarah MacLauchlin (I know I didn't spell that right) check out Chantal Kreviazuk...obsure I know cause she's Canadian like me! One super sad song for me is a track called 'Until We Die'. Another one is 'Surrounded'...

cathyo
I was thinking about this the other day. It may sound strange but songs that remind me of particularly good times in my life make me sad. They don't have to be love songs or depressing songs either. Most recent examples...Sarah McLaughlin "I Love You" and Paula Cole "I Believe In Love". JP would play those two songs early in the morning everytime Mike and I would be at SF when we first started dating. It was when we were first falling in love and it's causes a very bittersweet feeling to well up in me. The first part of falling in love is always so exciting and those nights were so perfect. Not a care in the world. We are still very much in love but you always miss that excitement and "newness".I guess that applies to any period of your life that you enjoyed that much. It's one of those things that you never want to end or change but, as we all know change is inevitable. We are closer than ever now, but it's more of a comfortable closeness. I hope that didn't come out the wrong way, it's hard to explain. Does anyone know what I mean?? ------------------ A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to it's old dimensions.~*~*~Don't use time or words carelessly, neither can be retrieved.~*~*~
jprutig
i'm surprised that no one has mentioned this one...amazing grace (especially with bagpipes)------------------you can judge the quality and content of one's character by the way they treat someone that can do nothing for them...
