I'm in a Peckinpah phase right now, so:

Wild Bunch

The Getaway (McQueen)

Junior Bonner (McQueen)

Bring Me The Head of Alfredo Garcia

also:

Cobra Verde and Nosferatu (79) are Werner Herzog's two best.

He's the father in Julien Donkeyboy, which is also worth seeing, if only for his performance.

Shadow Hours

"The world is a better place because of those who refuse to believe they can't

fly."

dragon_pipe_e0.gif

I go places,I interact...

(What places?)

Certain, clubs. Like, Paradise. It's not bad.

It's just that feeling when you can take your shirt off and really dance. When the music owns you. Do you understand?

if you're talking about the 30 day dvd thang, im not certain that any of these are released on dvd, or that blockbuster will have them on dvd but...

anything by Lars Von Trier, subsequently he is the director of Dancer in the Dark, which i recommend, besides that film of his, try Breaking the Waves, Europa(Xentropa), or even Kingdom. don't expect happy endings, and pay attention. (several of these are subtitled)

anything by Peter Greenaway should also be of interest, artsy films though, but excellent pieces of film making. pay attention to the score on majority of his earlier films, Michael Nyman is a genius and does most of his films.

anything by Jim Jarmusch... most recently saw Ghost Dog (way of the samurai), fucking great movie, RZA does the soundtrack.

shit, there are many excellent films to see, you just have to look for them.

be cool

don't act too cool because you might get shot...

Although there have been a few threads on this recently, the list of great movies is never-ending. Plus by reading the responses, I too get some great ideas. Not to mention remembering those which I'd long forgoten. So, here goes... a few more:

Also, I suggest seeing them in this order. They were all directed and written by Kevin Smith. Plus if you pay attention there are references made concerning storlines in the the previous movies.

1-Clerks

2-Mall Rats

3-Chasing Amy
