  1. yes you would. Please let me know if you and Lisa ever need a guest star. 8) you both have seen me completely naked. Lets get physical!! physical!!
  2. totally better than denbossa and cafe del mar....so chill...i've got pix of us floating in the water with sailboats slowly cruising by, oh man I got so tan that day.....the water was warm as a bath and the company I was with was just perfecto... and tim, lets not forget what a pain in the ass it was to get to cafe del mar....oyyy i dont even wanna remember that experience...the closests i ever came to punching a girl in the face, no wait, the lips
  3. its nice to see you being civil and amusing, saleen... your kind side is so much more pleasant;) anyone ever heard that song "blow my whistle, bitch"?
  4. is it bigger than the roxy, do you guys think? if so, than it could handle the volume of Tiesto or Van Dyk, who notoriously bring in the most voluminous crowds.
  5. Charles, or anyone with a good knowledge of the scnene behind the scenes---- how will this affect bindra;s "made events" operation? Also, do you think headling DJs like tiesto and pvd will continue to play at the roxy, continue with made events, with a place like crobar now in town? i mean, they must not really enjoy it there.... also, do you think the sound system at crobar is good enough to have a headlining DJ there? the cielings are so high, it seems like some sound is lost Arc was a great place for 18 - 20 yr olds to congregate....i hope avalon and crobar dont succomb to allowing them in...I like how avalon does it...18 for girls , 21 for boys....smart. Im sure dimaggio loves that too!
  6. Timmy talk to Krauss she just had a huge party for her equestrian foundation out in vegas and has lots o' contacts out there for this type of thing===i know she just threw a party at baby--a club in hard rock. i think it went very well, and i think she knows a shitload of people out there. email me details and ill forward it to her. IMO, vegas is a shithole, full of the midwest's worst fat degenerates...i think gambling is nasty and the whole steak and eggs AM phenomenon is also pretty cheesy.
  7. First of all , Timoteo, I think it is worth mentioning that that pic was at Bora Bora beach club in Ibiza. Just might add to the coolness of the picture. maybe, i dunno. i can understand that you were preoccupied with the fact that im tanner than you in that pic. also, i think its cool to represent miami in ibiza---did anyone ever approach you when you had that on that day? for some reason i have difficulty remembering that trip. (especially the "fastferry" back to Alicante...hehe) and yes , househeadz of the forum, our favorite night was Tiesto and PVD at amnesia!
  8. agreed.  i think once the big acts like deep dish and S & D start arriving and loving to spin at crobar, they will have enough headliners to keep themselves afloat.  But I agree, Crobar failed to open with a BANG.  Their invite only pre-opening party was a disaster....thousands of people were shunned away at the door....there were many big names that were turned away....big mistake...they tried to have a huge thing when, in my opinion, it should have been smaller and more intimate...it was cold that night too...a couple of my friends who are publicists were disgusted with it and brought some A-list people with them and couyldnt get in...that is very very embarassing for the publicist and is insult to the ego of a person with some notoriety in their name...realistically that is the case. A couple of people i know who promote for crobar said it was difficult to court people to come back. Not to mention their actual public grand opening  was....electroclash!  that was the just weird.  Also the place is so tremendous, that sometimes it look s empty even though there are a decent amount of people there...and the VIP room has always been packed (too packed for my tastes) when ive been there...but i think it really sucks in there and its very narrow at places...always feels like someone is trying to walk past you.  too much furniture around the bar at places.  im sure they've lost some money since opening...I cant imagine how much electricity they go through in a given night...plus they give out comps like candy so i am not sure how much they are making on cover charges... regardless the club is superb and it is my favorite in the city....everyone that works there is so friendly as well, and it is a place not to miss...it will be a big loss to us if it goes under, but i dont think it will.

    Happy birthday Sarah

oh please you're one of the sexiest kittens on US soil
  10. Shiiiiit this is the best news ive heard all day! And at Crobar nonetheless, this should set off the beginning of Crobar hosting major headlining DJ's here... According to Dirk @ Crobar (marketing director and awesome guy), the venue will be hosting many major headling DJs like this...lots of suprises to come from Crobar! He promises Crobar will return much of NYC's theatre of the absurd, and we all can expect some big shows and antics during... very cool 8) im sure most of us will be zombies, as S&D @ Crobar is immediately after the WMC....but i hope to see you all there! Dimaggio im not missing you this time---
  11. I forgot on important track... Airwave - Sunspot (DCML Mix).... tiesto spun this song last october (his best set I've personally ever seen, an epic night --- it was my friends birthday and all of our friends were there...even those who hate electronic music, and we all rocked out...might have been my favorite club night, right after i hopped on a flight to miami--- ) and it was just perfect...i think you guys would like it. Â its very uplifting, and borderline cheesy but really great live... and you have to have Tiesto's mix of William Orbit "Barber Adagio for Strings" that song is utterly ridiculous, and tiesto begins his TIC DVD with it. I bet he drops this at the wmc...ferry ended his set with this in nyc a few weeks ago, its intense, especially in a church...its got a dark religious sound to it.
  12. u are correct. Â Pvd spins this all the time. Â "standing in the rainnn, twisted and insanee...we...are....holdin onto nothin..." im not all about this track, but a lot of Djs are spinning it now. Â My friend Vic spins here in nyc and he opened and closed his set last week with that song...I feel like if you like holding onto nothing, that hard trance type of song, try "Fictvision - Escape" too....no vocals tho. PS, I have the Ferry from Space (Jan 3rd ) set from partry 93.1....what is that amazing song that is the first track you hear?? Â I think it might be markus closing...the chick says "I love you, love you...I loooooove you"....it only lasts three minutes but i want to find th etrack in its entirety...i think it might have a slight breakbeat to it as well. Â
  13. Did you know that in Australia it is compulsory for EVERY citizen to vote? Yes, this is true, and if you dont, you are penalized...>I believe they penalize your tax return but im not sure, anyone know what happens if you dont vote in Australia? anyway, being forced to vote seems to work there...and there is a lot of political awareness because of it. I always vote, and the last presidential election clearly shows that we all count , even in a country with almost 300,000,000 people in it
  14. he has a 3rd nipple....it isnt that big but is definitely noticeable...
  15. the nyc junkies will all be in attendance at the CJ radio 1 party, will you be there? quisiera conocerte tambien! 8)

  17. Well the night went well, and I played with my belt and hat a bit...Definitely thought of this conversation for a moment on the dance floor...I danced for hours that night....i could barely walk the next day...such great exercise. by the way, the Latin experience wasnt bad, persay, just intimidating to dance with them sometimes, cuz they're so good....and im so ridiculously attracted to Latins I sometimes get nervous. Their olive skin, youthful mentality, crazy personalities, passion and lust for life make me crazy! I really think I was supposed to be a Latino in this world... As for Sala, tell me when your event is! I havent been there in awhile, Id love to come by with some of my friends and have some valencian paella and a glass of Rioja...bring me back to me days en espana... mmmm i just got the chills... « Last Edit: Today at 10:10am by EVjunkie »
  18. One thing that really makes paul van dyk stand out, at least for me, has always been his political involvement...whether it be an event like the aforementioned or statements he makes at various shows...and the ridiculous amount of political satire and symbolism in his Global DVD...
  19. shots, nono, im gonna dress as Marilyn Monroe and sing you happy birthday :-*
