  1. have fun lucky bastards! ferry is a happy hobbit looking thing behind the decks---i love it. hope he does well for you.
  2. setting the conference off ins tyle! damnnnn this is amazing. IMO. IM sure it will be at space---i mean, lets be realistic. www.paulvandyk.com go to gigs. i have goosebumps 8)
  3. My flight got in from Cleveland last night after a 6 hour delay winds in nyc were too strong for my flight to leave....let me tell you though, I was on a 25 seater from CLE to LGA....it was so fkin turbulent girlz were screamin and kids were cryin. poosies. I had PVDs live at energy blastin in my ears and the turbulence just let me dance without having to choreograph. When I got in it was so cold and my car service was late,...my head was pounding from the flight and the wind while i waited for 6666666 carmel that I went home and buried my head in a pillow and woke up late for work today. Im not disappoiinted though...club openings dont do it for me....i hate the crowds and think they rarely live up to the hype...the second week is usually the time to go, imo. how was it , though? did you guys have fun, I want a full description of the venue. charles, great job on reporting so much this week on the ny site, sir. im impressed, and it is nice to see such fresh reports in there. must have had a real bender bangin all those out so fast!
  4. Im sure it is Boy George....the (wo)man has been making some cameos lately
  5. hey thats a good question--I wonder about nyc too...
  6. I like you guys! 8)
  7. very cool. thanx for the post Tim. Im flying to Cleveland (joey's hometown, everyone) for a shoot tonight so I wont be able to come by--- But I'll see you on saturday 8)
  8. ahh I was trying to rememeber the name of that track....destination sunshine, that is it. Tiesto spins it in the Live at Energy set from a Few years ago. Good call!
  9. Anyone else goin It is Crobars official Pre-Opening party....im eager to see whats inside
  10. i love that flight announcement too! "Ultimo aviso a los senores pasajeros....el vuelo thinco siete seis tres...con destino....Ibitha..." so amazzzin! I miss Spain everyday...
  11. im pretty diasappointed that andy and joey cant come--- :'( BUT im looking forward to seeing everyone else. Andy what do you do with abaya on fri? that place is great and I really like the people who run it as well---quality.
  12. I agree with everyone here---but I gotta say, there arent AS many beautiful people in ibiza as I thought there would be. Ithink there were more Mullet heads-- and goofballs than anyone else. seriously, 1 in 3 guys sported mullets. I also saw a man OD on Heroine in the parking lot of amnesia. not pretty. his friends were selling pills meantime to passerbys and blowing lines of Coke on CD cases in between transactions. After all that they were going to drive us to Space, but we decided to wait for a taxi instead. Honestly the driver's nose EXPLODED blood minutes before... I dont think the issue of drugs really matters there---if you want to indulge you can freely (saw many many people simply popping pills from bags out in the open---no one was trying to be discreet or pop em' real quick or go to the bathroom...I've never even seen a bouncer at any club in Spain ever...i lived there for a year of my life (not ibiza) and visited a large portion of the country...on one occassion did I ever see a fight (Bananas in Valencia, anyone ever been to this psychotic place?? and no bouncer ever came, it just ended when it ended... I think the whole bottom line isnt whether you do or dont do drugs there...it's that you just enjoy yourself...everyone dances to the same beat, whether it be complemented by drugs or not===everyone just seems top do what they want and not bother people,
  13. It is a disgusting display of teen debauchery. Lisa you truly would be loca to ever set foot in there regardless of the night. it is horrible. talk to joey about good afterhours places---I dont particularly know as im retired from after hours....but speaking from experience, the after hours scene here is nothing compared to miami...IMHO
  14. Ferry obviously did a great job on his tour this year. I reviewed his show on the CJ ny site---but ill tell ya now that the best part of the evening was when he spun Gouryella - Walhalla---one of my fav. old Gouryella trax...when you have a collaboration between tiesto, ferry and armin is is sure to be nice. Last year, in october at the roxy, Tiesto dropped the original Gouryella - Gouryella track in the middle of his set and the "roof went off" (as he likes to say) that night was probably the best I've ever seen him ...
  15. as long as I can tomar sol in just fine. 8)
  16. how was this event? he was excellent at limelight the night before.
  17. valid point. speaking of violence and madness, a bullet came through our office window this morning. (I work in Times Sq) it was nice and cold the entire morning as police investigated and maintenance replaced the huge window. so miserable. Id give anything to be relaxing at the Ritz Carlton on key Biscayne now...so quiet----warm ,... oh my god
  18. yes it sucked but i still love miami nonetheless! al;ways will.....
  19. not too much info I always ramble on like that too.
  20. is getting mugged also a prerequisite? The first two times i came to miami i was part of violent robberies...first time was on the train from miami back upstate to the palm beaches...this was the really bad one--- second time was at that gas station around the corner from the old Space---we were going to pvd at space after crobar and my friend wrecked his BMW with a taxi---then people came around the car and reached in and took my friends' wallet. that was a buzzkill, needless to say we didnt make it to pvd that nite! Some of the outskirts of Miami are reallly, really, scary. Scarier than most areas of nyc.
  21. BB bill didnt make his flight from nyc to Florida last night----John Creamer took his place There were maybe, maybe 20 people in the venue---so strange to see avalon empty like that! Â no one on the balconies, just empty. Â The music was horrendous too... instead my friends and Istayed in the spider room, where the DJ was spinning ammmazin 80's and Eurodisco stuff---I love that there are female DJ's that spin in the separate rooms at avalon. Â I dig chicks behind the decks. I'll review spider club for CJ this week....but i will say now that it is really a lot of fun in there---you feel like you are in a different venue entirely and the service is excellent. Â The entrance isnt even on 7th ave, rather in at the end of the cathedral on 20th. Â The walls have light fixtures in them of all colors and the entire cieling is filled with disco balls (but they are never reflecting light) they are tweeking some of the decor so i dont think it is completely finished---
  22. have fun gus lawler tore it up last nite here in NYC! get ready fomr some amazing drums and nonstop dancing
