3. I could be wrong but I think Saturday is the gay night. I was there recently and got real annoyed by it. I'm trying to talk to this girl and guys kept coming up to me and making out right in my face and then staring at me weird because I was talkin to this girl. So Saturday is definately the night to stay away if you're str8. I found out on accident, don't make the same mistake. ------------------ Double-Down <A HREF="/cgi-bin/redir.cgi?url=http://www.geocities.com/doubledown_xtc"" TARGET=_blank>www.geocities.com/doubledown_xtc double-down@mad.scientist.com The Crow (The original graphic novel)

8. We're not 16. We're all 21 and over thank you. And we also like to hit other places besides Exit. We've tried Vinyl and some of gone to Twilo. We've hit up Paladium in New Rochelle and Emanon in White Plains. I can't wait till Twilo next month for S&D. And soon we'll all be in Florida htting up all the places in Miami. Maybe next time we hit Exit or any NYC club we could have a meet up. ------------------ Double-Down <A HREF="/cgi-bin/redir.cgi?url=http://www.geocities.com/doubledown_xtc"" TARGET=_blank>www.geocities.com/doubledown_xtc double-down@mad.scientist.com The Crow (The original graphic novel)
9. I'm definately going to be there. Even if I go alone. Will I have trouble getting into Twilo if I'm alone? I heard that sometimes the bouncers are dicks about letting a guy by himself in the club. I'll probably get there around 1:30am. ------------------ Double-Down <A HREF="/cgi-bin/redir.cgi?url=http://www.geocities.com/doubledown_xtc"" TARGET=_blank>www.geocities.com/doubledown_xtc double-down@mad.scientist.com The Crow (The original graphic novel)
10. Hey if I go to Twilo it's gonna be my first time there. Problem is the girl I was supossed to go with has sorta vanished. All I know is it's not my fault...anyhow...does anyone want to meet at Twilo? I've never met any of you and I think it'd be cool. Let me know. Besides I have heard the tales of single guys being left out for awhile, so I guess I could use the company. ------------------ Double-Down <A HREF="/cgi-bin/redir.cgi?url=http://www.geocities.com/doubledown_xtc"" TARGET=_blank>www.geocities.com/doubledown_xtc double-down@mad.scientist.com The Crow (The original graphic novel)
11. So let me see if I get your point. We should feel nothing but compassion and sympathy for what happened and to hell with what perhaps people may have been looking forward to for a bit of time. Listen I absolutley hate when I have to pay for the mistakes of others. Remember in grammar or high school when you'd get a punish assignment when little troublesome Joe Blow got in trouble? Well this would be the club version if because of the young man who passed we all had to suffer. I feel bad for what happened to him and I don't wish it to happen to anyone regardless if I know them or not. But and this may sound heartless...I refuse...absolutely fucking refuse to allow what happened last Friday to affect what I plan to do this Friday which is enjoy MY drug...S&D at Twilo. And I'd been fucking pissed if I wound up having a boring fucking weekend if shit got closed or canned because of last week's tragedy. And to agree with Charrails...This is a fucking discussion board..not an open arena to attack people's characters. I mean for Christ sakes...alot of you act as if you knew the guy personally. A tragedy happened and it is damn sad. And no one wishes it to happen again. But come on...let's keep going on with our lives! And if that means partying hard or just relaxing, you do what ever you damn well please. ------------------ Double-Down www.geocities.com/doubledown_xtc double-down@mad.scientist.com The Crow (The original graphic novel) [This message has been edited by doubledown11 (edited 07-26-2000).]
12. Worst DJ? Don't think any of us are in a position to really say who's bad or not. Especially when probably most of us don't even have the skillz to do what they do. I've been practicing for a few months and I know I suck. You can say who you do or don't like, but really..are we all capable of saying who sux or not when these DJs could easily turn around and say "ok...you do it big mouth!" Bet we couldn't. I know I can't. ------------------ Double-Down <A HREF="/cgi-bin/redir.cgi?url=http://www.geocities.com/doubledown_xtc"" TARGET=_blank>www.geocities.com/doubledown_xtc double-down@mad.scientist.com The Crow (The original graphic novel)
13. Gotta go with Sasha and Digweed at Twilo! It's gonna be my first time and I can't friggin wait! ------------------ Double-Down <A HREF="/cgi-bin/redir.cgi?url=http://www.geocities.com/doubledown_xtc"" TARGET=_blank>www.geocities.com/doubledown_xtc double-down@mad.scientist.com The Crow (The original graphic novel)
14. By far the best I've had were X-Files, doublehit Nikes & Mitsubishi Turbos and Thumbs Up. ------------------ Double-Down <A HREF="/cgi-bin/redir.cgi?url=http://www.geocities.com/doubledown_xtc"" TARGET=_blank>www.geocities.com/doubledown_xtc double-down@mad.scientist.com The Crow (The original graphic novel)
15. On average I probably spend about 70 bucks when I go to any club. I train it to Exit or anywhere in the city, so that's only a buck there and a buck back. 20.00 to get in 10.00 on water, but you keep filling up in the bathroom so that saves alot of $$$ 40.00 on E if I drop...if I don't then it's a 30.00 night. This weekend will be an exception with Sasha and Digweed. I'm looking at spending between 40 and 60. But I have learned you don't need to spend alot of $$$ in the clubs to get the best time possible. ------------------ Double-Down <A HREF="/cgi-bin/redir.cgi?url=http://www.geocities.com/doubledown_xtc"" TARGET=_blank>www.geocities.com/doubledown_xtc double-down@mad.scientist.com The Crow (The original graphic novel)
16. Hey thanks alot for the tip. I actually spend a great deal of my time in the club watching the DJs spin. I'm blown away by how they work. It's really a trip to watch. But you mention that I should get to know the DJs. How do you do that? At Exit they're in a cage and other places in some booth that unless you're a fly chick you ain't gettin in. And isn't kinda gay if you go to the security and ask to let you in? They'd probably look at you like you're screwed in the head. Thanks again. ------------------ Double-Down www.geocities.com/doubledown_xtc double-down@mad.scientist.com The Crow (The original graphic novel) [This message has been edited by doubledown11 (edited 07-26-2000).]
17. My friends and I practice spinning and mixing almost everynight and most Saturdays when we have the rest of our friends over we spin for them. We're looking into open turntable places now, but I have a few questions. First, how do you get noticed and given a chance to spin at a club ..not a big place, but one that would give you a chance to see what you got. Second..how do you know you're ready to spin for ppl who don't know you? And I've seen some DJ booth setups and there always so much more eqiupment there that we're used to using, do you get a chance to familiarize yourself with the setup before anything gets going? Thanks for any advice given. ------------------ Double-Down www.geocities.com/doubledown_xtc double-down@mad.scientist.com The Crow (The original graphic novel) [This message has been edited by doubledown11 (edited 07-26-2000).]
18. I usually get my vinyl at 8 Ball records. I went to Satellite the other day for the first time. Was impressed with their selection but not their help...or lack of I should say. Where are some other hot spots to hit and where I wouldn't spend so much $$$. As of now 8 Ball is my fave and a place on 3rd and Bowery I think? Johnny Viscious owns it. Back Beats Records I think it's called? ------------------ Double-Down www.geocities.com/doubledown_xtc double-down@mad.scientist.com The Crow (The original graphic novel) [This message has been edited by doubledown11 (edited 07-26-2000).] [This message has been edited by doubledown11 (edited 07-26-2000).]

21. 22 in one night!!!! Holy shit! 2.5 pills is more than enough I would think for anybody. 3 is pushing it as it is. I can't fathom anyone having the brass balls to drop themselves to obilivion. ------------------ Double-Down www.geocities.com/doubledown_xtc double-down@mad.scientist.com The Crow (The original graphic novel) [This message has been edited by doubledown11 (edited 07-25-2000).]

23. Yeah Friday is 18, but I've been there alot and noticed that there is a vast majority of young 20-somethings in the crowd. I definately think Friday's music is better than Saturday's. And with the full blown industry of fake IDs you're going to find underage people everywhere you go. ------------------ Double-Down www.geocities.com/doubledown_xtc double-down@mad.scientist.com The Crow (The original graphic novel) [This message has been edited by doubledown11 (edited 07-25-2000).] [This message has been edited by doubledown11 (edited 07-25-2000).]
24. I know that recent events at Twilo have put a slight damper on things. However I have a friend who has flown in to visit and one purpose was to see S&D Friday at Twilo. I need to try and find a guestlist of some sort. Any help would be appreciated and again I apologize for the timing of this with respect to the recent passing of that med student. It's just that I do need to know. thankx
25. Quoted by dschwed: "IT COULD OF BEEN A BAD FUCKING PILL THAT KILLED HIM AND HIS FIRST TIME ROLLING. YOU STUPID INCONSIDERATE FUCK. A 21 yr old is dead and u say its his own fault ? Fuck you." Yes I am saying that it is somewhat partially their fault. He took the pill didn't he? And the asshole who sold him the bad one is the biggest dick of all. So before you tell me "fuck you" because I implied that some blame lays upon the person who passed...save a real big Fuck You for the dick who sold him the bad pill ok? Is that cool with you? I mean god forbid you should recognize and acknowledge the fact that it is quite possible no one forced the poor guy to take the pill to start with. And Another thing, I've been reading this board for awhile and everyone is always saying be careful if you do drugs and be careful of who you buy from and never get your drug in the club because you don't know where it came from. So again there is a clear responsibilty on the person who took the pill. And I'm not trying to disrespect the deceased. Not at all. What I'm trying to say is that he was responsible for his actions and before you shout at me a Fuck you. Take a minute and think about the whole story. Yes I feel bad for what happened to him and it is wrong that it happened. And I don't want it to happen again, but the sad reality is that this stuff does happen and we can't make the world stop each time it does. We as individuals have to keep going on. And in a small tribute, maybe we as a club community should stop dropping or whatever drug you do this weekend and party in his memory, because after all the guy was here for the same thing we all are here for...to dance and lose yourself in the music. And I think I'm not alone in this thought, from what I see, charrails as echoed similar sentiments. sorry this was long.
