Am I the only one who thinks NYC is the coolest city in the world?? Yes I've been to most of the cities on the list and I would have to say that none can compare. Ibiza is pretty cool though! My opinoin anyway....

Motivaiton is easy, just start hitting the clubs and watch the crowd as your favorite DJ's tear it up. I used to sit and watch Eddie and Denny light up Exit saturdays. Just go to different venues, watch and listen and that should give you the motivaiton your looking for. "That song is old" is definetly not an insult. House music is very trendy and as a DJ you need to stay ahead of any trends that come around. Every DJ should have some older anthems in his bag of tricks to drop and really get the crowd excited but that shouldn't be the backbone of your set, unless your a classics DJ. Everybody loves an older anthem! I've heard of DJ Bam Bam, he spins really hard house. Ok I think Britney Spears is an extreme example because if you put her behind the decks in any club there would be thousands of guys waiting to get in no matter how good she is. But as far as Mea goes the thread is, "Whats your opinion.I need to know." and I answered that. I think she is hot and is featured in DMA magizine this month. I don't know anything about whether she is good or not, just how hot she is. Is she a good DJ or just a sex symbol that mix records together I don't know and won't know until I hear her spin. I've seen kids start at 15/16 and they sometimes have a more difficult time mixing beats and getting the timing. Sometimes they don't really understand 32's and starting mixes at certain spots in the song. I've also seen kids that young pick it up in two months which is really good. It depends on the person I guess but my point was from what I've seen if you start too young you have a more difficult time. Just what I've seen though..... On the commercial side I would have to say last winter/spring when Kiss-Venga Boys was at its peek. At Exit they would have the ball down right above the crowd and when the song would really blow up the snow would come pouring down and people were going absolutely nuts!! That is the single most exciting song I have ever heard in a club. But then again that was when Exit was awesome and the light guy was different too.
