  1. do you mean Danny Tenaglia or Denny Tsettos? we're talking two very different DJs here.
  2. doesn't work when you were in high school or some shit. don't want to stink up the 'rents place ya know?
  3. personally, i thought DJ Magda was fuckin tight at PS1. she was a good opener, had the crowd movin' up until Richie came on. i dunno, was good shit to me!
  4. go to watch gear, the sister store of tourneau. you can find great watches there from $50-$500, so it's a lot more affordable. i'm sporting an esquire watch right now, which i got for around $200 on sale (originally $350).
  5. haha!! bigpop, i saw those women also. the mullets were out of control at PS1.
  6. nopes but i caught him and DJ Magda at PS1 for $6 and it was one of the best parties i've been to in a long ass time..
  7. hmm... looks like EZD smilies to me! i smilies.
  8. a friend of mine tried getting in at the peak times and they were charging $150 to get in?! haha for him?
  9. well it depends on what type of consumer you are trying to target. "hip hop brands" may be able to generate a lot of buzz (and $$) but their brands are very fleeting. one minute a brand is in and then the next minute it's out. it's too dependent upon the popularity of the stars backing the brand up. anyway, i also think juicy couture/diesel is out, as that market is being really saturated with a lot of the same shit. se7en, earl jeans, juicy, lucky are all the same shit. i don't know if your stores carry more higher-end brand items, but i think a lot of the trendier, up and coming designers are in their moment right now. sigerson morrison, paper denim & cloth, pucci (making a come back), lulu guinness, citizens of humanity, buzz by jane fox just to name a few. these are typically found in higher end department stores such as barneys co-op..
  10. yea, that shit is definitely overpriced and hard to get around here. meth labs exist in spacious areas, where your next door neighbor can't smell/see what shit you are cookin' up. is that why it can't be found in nyc? i dunno.
  11. bluntz are good if you live in the city. you can't smoke inside. you gotta be outside in a city park and you have to spark with mad headz. if you are passin' that shit to 5+ heads, nothing beats a slow burnin' L, sitting on the broken park benches. if ya don't know what that's about, then you don't understand smokin' Ls.
  12. dayam. haven't heard that in awhile. what ever happened to this crew? do they still throw monkey business/brass monkey parties?

    heroin

heroin was created by accident in a pharmaceutical lab. the company? bayer. i forget the specifics, but basically these doctors found that by combining certain substances it gave an instant relief, which was unheard of back then. it was also used during the civil war by doctors and nurses to help soldiers "forget" about what they were doing and keep them numb from the tragedy of war...
  14. i believe that's just how it is referred to in the english language. it is referred to as a "pair" because it has 2 holes in which your legs go through.. a "pair of boxers/briefs/underwear/thongs" i think is correct..
  15. haha i used to work on wall street. blazed during my lunch breaks at south street seaport. those were the dayze.. another time during college, i went to a potfest up in Mass. and then went to work after eating a shitload of pot brownies .. puhahaha!
  16. yea this is mike. nice seein ya at Arc last night. i had to bizzzounce early b/c my ass is at work today!!
  17. first off, i wouldn't go with sony b/c they monopolize all the necessary accessories and parts. if you are an avid sony user, like you own a vaio computer, then go for a sony. otherwise, i would highly recommend going with minolta or canon. also, don't go to places like circuity city and best buy. it's a rip off and always $50-$100 more than other places. don't get suckered into those shady electronics stores around times square either. i, personally, found the best deals at www.buydig.com. it's reputable, i've already referred over 20 of my friends there and we've all been satisifed with the prices and the delivery. i would go with the minolta dimage, any of the new canon elph cameras. i have the canon elph, but i got mine a year ago.
  18. Green tea is good for you. BUT, it has caffeine in it. I'd suggest trying to find decaf green tea, to at least try and cut down on that.
  19. The Park is on the same street as the Roxy. I always walk by in HUGE pants and everyone in there gives me strange stares. Actually, everyone in there are my coworkers. The crowd is very yuppy, I know mainly investment bankers and lawyers that hit up that joint. Oh btw, nomembername your screen name is funny. Reminds me of this Asian gang in NYC that calls themselves MMP = "Mo Ming Pi".. which means "No Name Gang."
  20. Yes, it is your body readjusting. Especially when you go on the Atkins or all protein diet. FYI, that's not really healthy for you. Everyone I know that was on Atkins lost weight, but couldn't keep up NOT eating carbs again or eventually gained it back. Yea yea, people say carbs are bad but it's a matter of eating the right type of carbs and the right amount. Instead of white rice, brown rice is better. Instead of white bread, whole wheat. Good luck, but you need to be healthy above all. Make sure you exercise and eat well. Exercising, in my opinion, is key. It makes you feel good about yourself (endorphins) and you realize that being skinny is not what makes you happy -- it's about feeling good about yourself.
  21. was it on daily candy? i don't read that, actually... (read it in lucky a few months ago)
  22. ooooh there is this really nice one that was released in the states recently (previously only available in Europe). it's called Garnier, very bright green bottle. it goes for under $5 -- smells good and lots of cosmetics people are raving about it.
  23. i'd be scared if they were all "single armed" guidos.
