  1. hm... well listening to their last essential mix, a lot of the tunes they drop i've heard PvD, Tiesto and Ferry Corsten drop. err, that's trance to me..
  2. yea, no doubt.. but i know that a lot of ppl recognize Tiesto b/c he's very popular amongst the masses. in due time, it'll trickle to other solid trance DJs (as we see, with AVB.. and soon w/ G&D, j00f, marco v, etc)
  3. this fuckin' Saturday is going to be tight!! my prediction: i'm giving all the Tiesto/AVB lovers another 6 months and they'll be falling left and right for Gabriel & Dresden / John 00 Fleming..
  4. designergoodsonline all the way. i think i've posted about this site before a few times!
  5. never had a problem with them. i've never had to order online, but my girlfriends in the midwest have and i've heard no complaints. fyi, a lot of sephoras will be disappearing b/c the stores are doing HORRIBLY. with the shitty economy, better cosmetics technology, many women are finding just as good cosmetics at their local drugstores over high end cosmetics stores like sephora.. for a shitload cheaper. the flagship store here on fifth avenue shut down over a year ago.
  6. it's on 8th street, by avenue of americas. very little store. there's a TON of stores around there that have shoes you are looking for. if you walk up a few blocks, check out Wheels of London. fyi, i've found luichiny shoes at century 21 for $20.....!
  7. ugh glass is so annoying. the space is really nice, i rarely go out that far west since twilo/tunnel shut down. but, the people are another story. i almost got into a fight with a guy sitting next to me b/c he thought it was ok to ash on my lap. so i accidentally spilled his drink into his lap, OOPS!
  8. i'd choose vacationing over everything materialistic. nothing makes the soul feel better than some resting and relaxation. i just got back from montego bay, jamaica myself. i will be going to hawaii soon too...
  9. Century 21. TONS of Seven Jeans for cheap.
  10. ok far from God buddy (i realize that was a bad joke). furthermore, this won't sell out. the last time he was here at the Roxy it was no where near full capacity.
  11. haha back to school shopping!~ haven't done that in awhile. i guess once you become a yuppie you're just constantly shopping..
  12. it was directed by john singleton. i hope you guys know who he is or imma feel mad old! edit, he's actually fallen off as a director lately but his movie "boyz in the hood" will definitely go down as a classic, classic film of our generation..
  13. i have friends that smoked the morning of their drug tests and passed. clearly, it depends on how much you smoke. but the best thing you can do is drink a lot of water and cranberry juice, keep flushing out your system as much as you can, if possible, try to work out/hit the sauna/steam rooms tonight to sweat it out a bit and buy a drink that flushes out your system. check out GNC or any 24 hour pharmacy near you that may sell these types of drinks (certain Rite Aids have a GNC section). ALSO, the piss you give them, make sure it's not the first one for the day when you wake up. this is all coming from a contact that had regular drug tests b/c he was on probation. good luck, keep drinking that water.
  14. it is already possible for anyone to get your credit info, etc. this is not new. all you have to do is pay a fee.
  15. ghhhost and Reeni, i just read this thread for the first time! <~~~~ representin' jamaica, queens right here. do either of you guys still live in jamaica? i'm actually up in jamaica estates... was supposed to go to jamaica HS but opted for bronx science instead (i'm a nerd i know). so i met Run DMC a few years back and we all spoke about how ghetto/lovely jamaica queens is...
  16. hey girlie! i hit you up with a PM awhile ago, did ya get it? yea, i am still in ass investment banking. my hours still suck. yea man i def plan on hitting up LA someday! i just got back from jamaica which was tight!!
  17. yea, scene blows but there's definitely a whole lot of nice people around. i vaguely remember going to some street called rush street that had a line of bars, kinda collegiate. we then went to some club called crusader or something near the magnificent mile. they actually had decent house music in the upstairs room.
  18. hey there! you actually included a lot of licensed brands, which is different from actually owning a brand. LVMH is the owner of a lot of licenses to create fragrances for tons of designers, but don't actually own the company. if thats the case, we can go on forever! kind of like how kenneth cole and DKNY shirts are made by phillips-van heusen, how jones new york owns a bunch of polo labels...
  19. thanks chica! maybe i can meet up with ya and thank you in person! i miss sixty jeans! to die for!
  20. haha i just realized it wasn't spikes. that was an honest mistake! here's some more: Federated Department Stores: Macy's, Bloomingdales TJX: Marshall's Liz Claiborne: Laundry, Lucky, Ellen Tracy Jones Apparel Group: l.e.i., Nine West (they also make all of Polo Jeans Co. clothes) oh one more, this one surprised me too: VF Corp.: Jantzen, Lee, Wrangler, Jansport, Eastpak and NORTHFACE!
  21. oooh, thats right! juicy and liz. never expected that one. spikes, i work for the retail industry. my group was a part of a lot of these deals.
  22. i tried this the other day. hurts your fuckin nose, i felt like i inhaled absestos paint chips or something. you have to do large quantities to feel anything. i proceeded to sleep after both tries. not good for club. good for wanting to go to bed.
