Here here, Rob. Satisfaction is one of the most widely known rock songs ever made, probably only #2 to Stairway to Heaven. Bitchme doing a cover of it is nearly enough to make me yack. However, I LOVE Found an Angel. Though For an Angel is one of the most classic trance songs ever made, all of the syn's of it have been fantastic. Well, save for one that has this funky synth all the way thru. It doesn't even sound like PvD's. Prolly someone who just wanted the name for exposure. Just MHO. Yeah, it -is- a shitty way for him to run the night. Here's the deal, though. This area is about a year or so behind the cities. So, progressive is just now catching on here. To give you an idea, people are STILL digging on Amber's Sexual. My boss is 32, and still thinks that it's '86. He'd play A-Ha all night if he could. So, rather than have everyone leave the club, I agreed to do this. No insult intended to you Progressive fans, as I truly enjoy some of it, it's just not been my main genre. I'm a little biased against Satellite, since they took over a month to ship my last order. I'll use them for the charts, though. Heyla, all. My boss at the club wants to start doing progressive Thursdays. He'll be dj'ing it, but he'd like me to get the music for it. Only problem is, I don't play progressive, so I don't know progressive. Is there anywhere that has charts, or is dedicated to progressive house? I know a lot of the huge and played-out tunes, but that's about as far as I can go. Zombie Nation, for instance... Any help that anyone could provide would be HUGELY appreciated. The one that I've seen floating on Nap is a decent one, though I've heard that there's a better T mix of it. That's what I hate about Nap. One person has a fugged up file, then everyone gets it. Glad I still go vinyl for my main music. Roll parties are fuggin ILL!!! That's BY FAR my favourite part of the night. Don't get me wrong, I roll to increase my sensativity of music, and to get that "higher state of mind". I'll dance my ass off all night, but the roll party after hours is the sweetest. Here's some common roll party fun things: BODY PAINTS!!! Feathers Stix, stix and more stix HOT TUB!!! Multi-person showers And, of course, TOTAL TRANCEOUT. Sitting in the blacklight flooded room, someone with sticks, and the most intense trance playing over the system. Oh! LOL. Believe it or not, my current favourites are a $20 set I got from Best Buy when I was in a crunch. TINY little phones, that are Sony knockoffs. AMAZING bass response, though. I think they're called Audiotech, or something like that. I've gotta agree on the Sony thing, though. I love my Sony's. Might try using a program called SAW, too. It's a lot like the others, except it doesn't have the ability to have a master pitch. I have it, and it's almost small enough to fit onto a floppy. Broken tone arm stop Blown bulbs in the cue lams and fader center Corroded contacts in the stylus mount Check those, and make sure to LISTEN to the 12's. Let 'em tell you if there's anything wrong.
