Okay try this out: I was born jewish, raised hindu till 7, went to hebrew school/batmitvah, studied tibetan buddhism and to cap it off my dad lives in a christian commune in wisconsin. So my personal relationship with god is quite unique, though I think essentially everybodies is, but in general I believe there are just so many paths up the same mountain, and the only important thing is to remember that the view just keeps getting better the higher you go. ------------------ In wonder, I wonder "What Happens Next?"- Selma

You can find us on the dance floor at a club with good music and low bull shit levels, you can meet us by showing some dancing skills, smiling, not trying to sneak up behind us or close in on our personal dancing space but rather helping forge more room for two people to dance. Basically you can get us by having the kind of attitude you'd like us to have. ------------------ In wonder, I wonder "What Happens Next?"- Selma

Okay, everybody got that ONE AM AT THE BAR, I want to see all the cute raver chics represent (oh the cute raver boys can come too) I'll be in silver caffeines and a blue tank hoodie. Say HI. ------------------ In wonder, I wonder "What Happens Next?"- Selma -
Ever had the "HOTS" for any of the bartenders??
saigray replied to musicbeat's topic in New York / New Jersey
Oh bartenders...in Italy, I dated two bartenders, both beautiful (one was a replica of antonio sabato jr. i swear), both assholes...but it was sorta fun to waltz in free to either club, get my comp. drinks and point out the hottie to my friends. But seriously, with the males at least, I think they get a complex and find it close to impossible to maintain a healthy personality. ------------------ In wonder, I wonder "What Happens Next?"- Selma -

there should be country vocal samples in trance music

I think in general it would be nice to here trance branch out the sources it uses for vocal sample. What about gospel, opera, old movies, and grunge rock? These aren't exactly the most obvious sources for dance music but I've heard amazing stuff because some dj said "what if.." without limiting themselves. just like weyes is suggesting. And of course that does not mean slapping a beat under a full shania song. It would take work, but man when you finally got that twang to kill after a jangley build up it would be somethin to be proud of. ------------------ In wonder, I wonder "What Happens Next?"- Selma -

Good God, I left at 10 thinking I was missing maybe 2 hrs of DT, I had NO IDEA tha shit would be raging for another 6! I don't know if I could have done it, but I would have thought longer before leaving that's for sure. I'm so jealous cause it sounds like the last bit was awesome, but then again so were the first 12 hrs.

That was absolutely the top night out EVER. Right from the start, the first two hours of CC, everyone was so pumped we were just high off the fuckin ENERGY there. Cox blew my mind, and somehow I always found space to dance. BTW, can someone ID the song he played goes "I can't believe all the things people say" in a really low voice? He played it early and then again in the tag team, and I must get it. I wimped out at around 10, how much longer did DT go? Anyway, Great seeing you all there!!!

I'll just say this, my mom was a vegetarian gourmet caterer for the first 13 years of my life, and I knew how to make stuffed muchrooms, spanikopita and baked brie before I could make mac and cheese. -
You *know* you helped make mine !

I just wanted to send a big THANK YOU out there to all the great kids who came out last night to play. I had such an amazing time and a huge part of it was the great vibe and the friendliness in the clubplanet crew. Now i know how twilo could feel like a home away from home: cause you've got family there. Still totally new, I had ppl all around who were not strangers but friends I just hadn't met yet. Thanks guys for all the hugs, dances and smiles that kept me bouncing all night long (11-8:30!) Love, Sai

Funniest thing that happend to me all day:
saigray replied to rachel1977's topic in New York / New Jersey
i had a similar moment with my grandpa. I was saying I was going clubbing and he's like "Are they singles clubs? Well do you ask the fellas to dance, or do you gals wait for them.." And I'm realizing that he's imagining that I go foxtrotting at a USO club..so I try to explain, but he just can't imagine..but I had just rented Human Traffic and there is a great bit of the kids just going off their heads when they get into the club- so I play it for him and he goes "Wow, so they all just do whatever they like? That looks really FUN! Now wonder your always tired." If his hip was still good, who knows, maybe he'd be the old, OLD guy at Twilo(82!) -
There is this one muscle that cuts diagonally across guy's forearms when they are muscular, but not super huge, that moves with their hand movements that just absolutely melts me... Ichi, long and lean all the way, baby! Soccer players tend to qualify too.

Sounds like a good idea. So when is this party, and how far upstate?
-
That's so sweet.. *blush*.. thanks.. But really, as long as you're in touch with your kids you know when something is in control and when something is actually a problem..then you can put the fear of turning into a crackhead like Unbound into them. (J/K, he's the most well dressed crackhead I've ever met, btw)
