  1. ^^^ business expense, thats the way to do it. Is cp hiring?? =)
  2. Just curious. My total after taxes and fees for 4 nights is 7 something. Total rip off, i know. What about u?
  3. seems like a great location but it got horrible review from the people who've stayed there. Anyone got any info on it? I know any hotel i get now is gonna be overpriced I just want to be sure im gettin something for my money.
  4. hey Maria I have the same exact problem with my group of friends. Theres only one dude thats really into the house scene, the rest wouldnt go near a club unless it has a hip hop room. I been tryin to go to WMC for the past 5 years, never happened cus people were never interested. Im going solo this year.
  5. seems like everything is all booked up for the hotels in the art deco area, that is where all the parties are right? the closest I can get is a days inn 2 miles away in miami beach. My other option is my friend's place which is about 20 mins outside south beach. I'd save about a 350 dollars, but I feel like i'd be missing out on the real wmc experience.
  6. thanks for the advice people. I've decided to go, just got my plane ticket. Now i gotta decide whether i want to get a rental car and drive to south beach every day or just get a hotel. What u guys think?
  7. well said, not a JP fan myself but I get what you're saying.
  8. Im trying to figure out (today hopefully) if its a good idea or not to go to wmc alone. I have friends that live around miami that I can stay with but they arent gonna be hitting up parties till 5am or anything. They may come out one night but for most of the conference Im gonna be rolling solo. I've been wanting to go for years but every year something doesnt work out like money, or getting people together, most of my friends arent into the dance music scene, not enough to do a whole week of it. So my question basically is would you go alone if you were in my situation?
  9. how can anything in miami be a sausagefest? There are sooo many hot women down there
  10. can I also get that? aim: varikali31
  11. sven vath is from miami? i always thought he was a european
  12. I know most people dont register for the actual WMC events, but what about for M3 summit? Would it make life easier in terms of getting into parties and all? I really dont want to have to pay off a bouncer every nite to get in.
  13. china club saturdays has consistently had good hip hop since summer time. FOrgot who the dj is over there, I usually go there cus a friend of mine promotes for the upstairs part, Jade Terrace, the music on that floor sucks but the main floor dj rips it every time. All the new hot tracks plus occasional old school stuff, and a lil reggaeton. He played this ill 15 min biggie set a month or two ago, man I was goin nuts.

  16. Haven't heard anything big going on yet. Im guessin all the parties will be on Oct 30th, since halloween is a sunday. My bday is halloween, im goin out with a group of 40-50 people, anyone got suggestions? I know theres a ton of promoters on this board, hit me up.
  17. did you know Christopher Wallace?? How do you know what kind of a person he really was?? You just assume that since he sold drugs he was a bad person? Who's making him a martyr? He didnt die for anyone, to alot of people like myself BIG represents the heart and soul of NY. No one since has been able to do that, and no rapper before BIG did it the way Biggie did. People miss him, I miss him. Your thoughts arent affecting mine, but it sure as hell does piss me off when people talk about Biggie being a bad person on the day he died. I dont care if this is a public message board, this thread was obviously started to remember BIG, not to talk about him being a bad person. Doing that is just really disrespectful in my opinion. If you really cared about his music like you said you would know what kinda person he was.
  18. argh this thread so fukin aggravating. Why cant you people just let the people who liked Biggie remember him??? WHy does it bother you all so much that people want to remember him??? He meant something to me, he meant something to a lot of people. And Biggie not being here today makes a lot of people sad. So on the day he died we want to listen to his music, talk about his life and just reflect on the person that made such a huge impact in our worlds. But every freakin time someone tries to do that some disrespectful piece of garbage has to start talkin about "ooh u know it was really PAc who was the greatest" and "Biggie was the begginng of the end of real hip hop" and "he wasnt really all, that its just cus he died that people like him". You can argue all day who was the greatest but why cant you just shut the fuk up on the day he died. leave that fukin tupac rhetoric at home for JUST ONE DAMN DAY. You have another 364 days a year to let the world know that you know the "real" hip hop.
  19. is that the only way to go to these parties? -wmc newbie
  20. ...that you stop listening to all your other music? thats what i been doing recently with the Flaming Lips, i know they been around for a long time, i never really heard of them before i saw this commercial on mtv with some of their music a few weeks ago. Something about it got to me and i downloaded a few songs, and its all I been listening to since. Gonna buy (yes buy not download, these guys deserve my money) their album. I havent been this into a band since i discovered the chilli peppers. The Flaming Lips are like a throwback to the psychedelic rock era but with a new pop electronic sound, it just puts a smile on your face. The new album is amazing, Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, check it out.
  21. boring part of town i guess? how far is centreville from DC?
