  1. I knew a professional chef that went on this diet. He lost 35 pounds and kept it off after he got off the diet.
  2. This is why I moved all the way acroxx country. J/K but I hate having people breathing down my throat telling me how to live my life. I was living with some roommates who was telling me who I could and couldn't have over. Put up with it for a while but finally got fed up. Now things are pretty peachy ... come and go as I please, do what and whomever I want. My daddy is coming to visit in a few weeks though. Can't decide if I want to miss Lawler or not. I would love to bring him with me, but it's probably too much. ... probably will go and just be really tired the next day.
  3. My first meet-up! pretty darn exciting. See you guys there
  4. I can't believe I'm committing to a Friday night dinner on a Tuesday, but, I'm coming. Blueangel, please add me to the broke but will eat list. Thanks!
  5. Mario, earnings season started today! Which means my MD is actually in the office for the next couple of weeks and I can't sneak off for lunch. Are you going to the dinner meetup this Friday? I haven't RSVP to Blueangel yet, but I think I'm going to go. See you there?
  6. I think I'm going to like Wednesday nights @ Twilo. I heard Spoony at Inferred Lounge a couple of weekends ago, I think. Good stuff.
  7. The Global Underground board started compiling a track listing already.
  8. Hey Mario, how's it going up there. I moved to the 9th floor now btw. Oh, on the Twilo board, you don't have to sign up for email alerts. I'm not sure how it works, probably part of the cookies, but a white text message blinks on your page whenever you have a new PM, and it checks for new messages every time you go on a new page. It's really quite a nice feature. Later!
  9. Another thing that's better about the twilo board is you get alerts when you have new PM.
  10. I love Danny and be yourself at Twilo, but residency ... I hope not. Hearing Danny on the Phazon is a treat and should be reserved for special occasions. If Danny takes over Junior's time slot, I'm going to have to do after hours every Saturday and I don't think my body can handle that.
  11. The way the Twilo message board is set up is so much better than clubplanet’s. I like how you can see who last posted and how you can jump to 2nd and 3rd pages of a thread straight from the topic page. I've never experience the Twilo board being down and no damn pop-ups. As for meaning posts about Twilo ... ehh, that's kind of the point. The board is dedicated to the club, the DJ's it brings in and the music they play. And as for people sucking ass to Twiloboss ... I don't think it’s fair to generalize. He started a dialogue with board members because he wanted to find out how he can make the club better, some members have made some great suggestions and relationships have developed. Of course there are going to be people that's going to kiss up to him b/c they want favors or whatever, but that's just human nature.
  12. HOLY CRAP ... Digweed was on the dance floor? How the hell did I miss that? Great review btw. Was there till closing too, wish we met.
  13. I was hanging out with Vejita and friends at the arcade on 42nd and 10th, and this couple spent all night on that machine. They were really good too, totally putting on a show. I was hanging out with some friends back home that was playing a game on Playstation from Korea ... no dancing pads but you use the keypads to make your person dance to the music. The goal is to score higher points by doing fancier moves.
  14. Loved the Jon Secada ... and the fact that we were listening to it in Spanish at first! The song before that though ... I know it's by Wham but which song again? To all those peeps that closed out, how amazing was the last few hours? Some memorable moments ... Danny taking Mikey's glow things and jumping like he does in the booth. Classics at 3:00 ... Mikey going nuts on one of the songs. Danny showing us how tribal he can get.
  15. Then you risk getting into the who loves who more problem.
  16. The night was perfect. Was there from start to finish and loved every single minute of it. It was ingenius of Twilo to pair them together, and I'm just thankful I experienced it. Sinem - Digweed spoke into the mike too. SmileNYC - WOW!
  17. I think that goes for all of us. mattyparsons - awesome signature!
  18. Can I suggest a day in Central Park? I want to go on a picnic. And play volleyball! Can someone bring a boombox?
  19. Things can be great but things can always be improved upon b/c perfection is never within reach. As a general rule, I don't look but keep my eyes opens. I read this the other day: "Hope can only trap you. Dream can only drag you down. So don't hope or dream." What do you guys think?
  20. I love stationary stores like Kate's Paperie. I wish I wrote in my journal often enough to justifie buying so many of those pretty blank books. I have one full journal that I started sometime in high school and finished sophomore year of college. Junior year of college I went abroad so I have a travel journal. Then senior year of college I started a journal with Bugs Bunny dressed up as a fortune teller on the cover, asking what's up for tomorrow, doc? I haven't touched that thing in well over a year ... perhaps it's time to start up again. I also keep old calendars with just dates of places I've been and people in my life. For those that have old journals, isn't it interesting to see how your handwriting has changed through the years?
  21. Darn it ... was really thinking about going as I totally love Seaman. Luckily something came up and I had a fabulous night nonetheless. How was the turn out?
  22. It's all a big myth. There's so many people in this world that we're compatiable with, but it's a matter of meeting each other at the right time. It's all about timing.
  23. What a great night, from start to finish. The DJs were awesome, I wouldn't be surprised if Twilo called you all back for other nights. And the vibe was mad chilled. The Twilo vibe was back, no? Can't wait for more Wednesday night events at Twilo this summer!
  24. Northwest corner of 1st Ave on St. Mark's It's a great place for small groups. We got one of the private rooms for my friend's birthday and the staff was excellent, they even had candles for the cake! Highly recommended!
  25. WHAT REALLY HAPPENED IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN One day in the Garden of Eden, Eve calls out to God. "Lord, I have a problem!" "What's the problem, Eve?" "Lord, I know you created me and provided this beautiful garden and all of these wonderful animals and that hilarious comedic snake, but I'm just not happy." Why is that, Eve?" came the reply from above. "Lord, I am lonely, and I'm sick to death of apples." "Well Eve, in that case, I have a solution. I shall create a man for you." "What's a man, Lord?" "This man will be a flawed creature, with many bad traits. He'll lie, cheat, and be vainglorious; all in all, he'll give you a hard time. But.. ...he'll be bigger, faster, and will like to hunt and kill things. He will look silly when he's aroused, but since you've been complaining, I'll create him in such a way that he will satisfy your physical needs. He will be witless and will revel in childish things like fighting and kicking a ball about. He won't be too smart, so he'll also need your advice to think properly." "Sounds great," says Eve, with an ironically raised eyebrow. "What's the catch, Lord?" Well... you can have him on one condition." "What's that, Lord?" "As I said, he'll be proud, arrogant, and self-admiring... So you'll have to let him believe that I made him first. Just remember, it's our little secret...... You know, woman to woman."
