  1. Wow, you're coming all the way from Cornell? Cool. Definitely will be at this meet-up. On a side note, how sweet is this Saturday going to be? There's a freaking parade on 5th Avenue.
  2. getting a great deal on clothes or airline tickets getting letters in the mail knowing you're learning something new and feeling like you're really making a difference dinner for 2 (w. girl friends too) and hosting dinner parties for many falling in love, raw passionate sex, slow love making, having sex while stoned (Digweed always makes me want to do this), lying in bed and listening to music
  3. petp and pfloyd, did you see in the WSJ today? ... The Federal Reserve is expected to cut interest rates by at least half a percentage point next week in a move meant to fuel an economic rebound in the second half of the year. Where do you guys work? I'm in midtown ...
  4. It's all about moderation and mixing it up. I turned to E because I didn't want to drink, and b/c it's cheaper. And for 2 months, I was just and stoned ... I would completely black out. A few weekends ago though, I was hanging out at a friend's apartment and we were doing shots after shots of Goldie ... I was buzzed, not drunk, on the way to Lawler. Anyway, that was one of my best nights ever. When the alcohol wore off, the music recreated the feel of the drug for me and the best part was, I remember all of it. E and weed is great, especially when combined, but if you're doing it every time you go out, you have a problem. ------------------ Roll out down to midnight. 5. The fed will lower by 50 basis point at the next FOMC meeting, no question about it. The recession is at the bottom right now. You guys knew the market was over valued, this is just part of the correction. Be glad NY is more sensible than CA, I feel bad for all those blokes in Silicon Valley. ------------------ Roll out down to midnight. 6. I know exactly the song you're talking about. He played it twice, once really early on and then again during the battle. Unfortunately, I can't ID the song. Oh, and I think it's "why must I go through this shit, every fucking day" ------------------ Roll out down to midnight. Then roll on downtown 'til it's light, Because tomorrow we may die. 8. Keep Quiet! Happened to me freshman year of college with my best buddy. He got me a garnet ring for my birthday, we talked for a week about how it would change things, the risk to our friendship, then he decided he wasn't ready. It totally killed our friendship b/c we couldn't be around each other anymore, plus he became an alcoholic for a few months. A few years later, I find out he totally regrets his decision. But alas, you live and you learn. Don't risk the friendship by bringing up the subject. ------------------ Roll out down to midnight Then roll on downtown 'til it's light Because tomorrow we may die Oh, but tonight we're dancing in the faint light Don't you rob yourself of what you're feeling Don't rob yourself of all that you could be Roll hard 'til midnight Roll 'til it's light Come on now Stay up and make some memories Yeah, with us now Roll the red carpet out with friends To whom, to love and roll on So Right DMB

  10. Oh man ... missing those moments w. the ex. Next man have to be totally into this scene b/c leaving w. someone is the best way to continue the party. Sweet dreams everyone.
  11. Don't say that. You have to think positively.

  13. Or at least that's what I heard on the radio yesterday morning. Been listening to the new Everyday CD and I have to say, it's great. The songs are way too short on the album but I'm imagining a jamming live sessions. So ... is anyone else going? BTW - check out my new sig! ------------------ Roll out down to midnight Then roll on downtown 'til it's light Because tomorrow we may die Oh, but tonight we're dancing in the faint light Don't you rob yourself of what you're feeling Don't rob yourself of all that you could be Roll hard 'til midnight Roll 'til it's light Come on now Stay up and make some memories Yeah, with us now Roll the red carpet out with friends To whom, to love and roll on[\i] So Right[\i] DMB
  14. Being from Las Vegas, you cannot walk through a casino without smelling like cigarettes smoke. It's horrible. I think what's sad about smoking is that so many girls do it to supress their appetites. I must admit, I was tempted to smoke socially in college - it's a great way to meet people ... hmmm, peer pressure? And when I get really drunk and there's smoke around, I'll want a drag. If only weed was legal.
  15. Good for you! My first kiss was smoking that night ... I almost asked him to go brush his teeth. Have never kissed anyone that smoked again. Kudoos to California and banning public smoking. I wish some bars/lounges would do that here in NYC.
  16. Oh Dennis, I'm so sorry to hear. Good thing is, you're leaving for Amsterdam tonight. Forget about it and just have a great time. It'll take you no time to find a new job when you get back; it took you only 1 weeks last time right? When you get back, we have to go to XO Kitchen and you have to tell me all about how much fun you're going to be having these next few days. XO Kitchen ... I need my zha-man-tou. 17. OMG - been looking forward to this one for months. Huge Nick Warren fan right here, and really like Sander Kleinenberg's production work too. Have never heard either of them spin and am totally looking forward to hearing them together. I foresee a night somewhat like CC/DT was a few weeks ago. ------------------ "Life is made of moments ... it would be wonderful if they came to us unsummoned, but particularly in lives as busy as the ones most of us lead now, that won't happen. We have to teach ourselves how to live, really live ... to love the journey, not the destination."
  18. If you're gone - baby you need to come home Cuz there's a little bit of something me In everything in you hmmm ... my favorite song from this album.
  19. You're a fruit! Hey, it was nice meeting you @ Jesse's that one morning. Can't wait to hang out @ King's Barn.
  20. Platforms? Yikes. Don't know why but that scares me ... just looks like it can be a really bad fall. Although, I danced a lot last spring/summer in my 1 inch J.Crew flipflops. Right now I'm on a skeetcher craze ... alternate between 2 pairs, same style just different colors. Although, I think I may have to retire my orange pair soon ------------------ "Life is made of moments ... it would be wonderful if they came to us unsummoned, but particularly in lives as busy as the ones most of us lead now, that won't happen. 21. A while back someone started a thread on the point of life that went on for a few pages. Today I just found out that a classmate has died from Leukemia. That last night, another student died from a heart attack. (There's maybe 2700 kids at my school) My friend lost both his grandmother and an uncle last week. I guess I am just sharing this with you all today b/c lately I have learned a valuable lesson of living for the moment and not so much in fear of the future. We get so carried away with planning for the future and climbing the corporate ladder (or at least I did) that sometimes we forget that life is so fleeting and perhaps pointless. We can live in fear of death and all of life's uncertainties, or we can live in love with life. Live, Love & Rejoice! ------------------ "Life is made of moments ... it would be wonderful if they came to us unsummoned, but particularly in lives as busy as the ones most of us lead now, that won't happen. 22. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world right now. I'm loving NYC but not the UWS My parents live in Vegas, must visit them twice a year. HS buddies in Denver = ski trip next winter. I also like Chicago and San Francisco a lot. For international cities ... HONG KONG! ------------------ "Life is made of moments ... it would be wonderful if they came to us unsummoned, but particularly in lives as busy as the ones most of us lead now, that won't happen.
