1. Well ... I'm actually a big fan of Equinox. I go to the one @ 50th/Broadway after work during the week and the one at 92nd/Broadway on the weekends, except of course when it's a clubbing weekend. There's nothing like the steam rooms after a good workout. ------------------ Work like you don't need the money, Love like you have never been hurt, Dance like nobody is watching.
2. I'm a newbie here, but my favorite build up thus far is Seaman's Back to Mine. I love the crescendo right before the very last track when this beautiful female vocalist comes onboard and sings about finding the "one I've been waiting for" ... then again, I'm bias cause this song holds really special memories for me. ------------------ Work like you don't need the money, Love like you have never been hurt, Dance like nobody is watching.
3. It was just this summer, Sasha & Digweed and I was (and still am) 22. ------------------ Work like you don't need the money, Love like you have never been hurt, Dance like nobody is watching.
4. My ex and I had a discussion about that once. He swears it's not possible but it's so true. ------------------ Work like you don't need the money, Love like you have never been hurt, Dance like nobody is watching.
5. have everyone heard the White House's comment on the environment this Monday: haulting last-minute Clinton environmental rules/regulations - including the contentious diesel sulfur rule, and pledge to open parts of the Arctic National Wild Refuge for oil/gas exploration? Bye-bye Alaska and cleaner air ------------------ Work like you don't need the money, Love like you have never been hurt, Dance like nobody is watching.
6. I really can't say what I would do if I was her, but I know I wouldn't be able to let go right away. Never been cheated on before so I can't use past experiences, but I know that in any relationship, I'm always the last to give up. Social & economic status doesn't mean anything, it all depends on whether or not they can get past this and move on ... bad example, but like the Clintons, I don't know how Hillary does it. ------------------ Work like you don't need the money, Love like you have never been hurt, Dance like nobody is watching.
7. Dang, you guys are beyond hard core. Happy New Year!
8. The entire "Mad Season" album by Matchbox 20. I especially love "If You're Gone" Also, Sarah Mclachlan's "I will remember you" ... sang at my high school graduation. ------------------ Work like you don't need the money, Love like you have never been hurt, Dance like nobody is watching.
9. I love Nick Warren ... what great news. This one goes into the calendar in ink. Crommy - you're going to Amsterdam? Awesome! ------------------ Work like you don't need the money, Love like you have never been hurt, Dance like nobody is watching.
10. I'm a big fan of handwritten letters. My college roommate and I have been exchanging letters for years now, and they get filed away, tied in a satin ribbon and stored in my parents' house. I also write a lot when I'm upset. I used to keep journals growing up but just don't have the patience for that anymore. Now it's all I can do to keep up with emails. You're right though Ooana, writing is incredibly theraputic. ------------------ Work like you don't need the money, Love like you have never been hurt, Dance like nobody is watching.

14. First time hitting up Exit and I'm bringing my girls with me ... how do I get 6 people on a guestlist ? ------------------ Work like you don't need the money, Love like you have never been hurt, Dance like nobody is watching.
15. The New York Cares orientation really isn't bad. I sneaked over to their midtown mtg one day after work and was shocked by the diversity and number of people in the lecture hall, since they hold so many every week. You sit there for an hour or so, and they tell you about how they work, their history and stuff. Meeting up at an orientation and going out for drinks afterward is a great idea. 19. I've done a few volunteer projects since moving to Manhattan through New York Cares. You have to attend one of their hour-long orientations and then you get a calendar on various activities that they co-sponsor each month. It's nice in that it's commitment free. I found that with most organizations, you have to fill out a lengthy application, interview, and then commit to a regular schedule. New York Cares is nice in that you can sign up for whatever event you're interested in whenever you're available to help out. Through New York Cares I volunteered at the soup kitchen of God's Love We Deliver. For 3 hours on a Sunday afternoon I chopped vegetables with other volunteers. It was fun doing something in the kitchen for a change (I don't cook at all), chatting with other volunteers and knowing that you're efforts were going to feed people with AIDS. Another perk, they had yummy snacks. Big Brothers/Big Sister and walking shelter animals are great ideas, but I just wanted to make a plug for soup kitchens. ------------------ Work like you don't need the money, Love like you have never been hurt, Dance like nobody is watching.

21. January 11, 2001 Web posted at: 8:14 AM EST (1314 GMT) LOS ANGELES, (Reuters) -- Weeks after Britney Spears landed a reported $1 million book deal comes word that the sassy teen pop sensation will soon be making her first feature film. After considering numerous movie offers, Spears, 19, has accepted a leading role in a coming-of-age story to be co-produced by her music label, Jive Records, entertainment trade paper The Hollywood Reporter said Wednesday. The as-yet-untilted film, budgeted at about $10 million, is scheduled to start shooting in March with a little-known director, Tamra Davis, at the helm, the Reporter said. Spears' publicist, Jive Records and Filmco, the Los Angeles production company said to be co-financing the project, had no immediate comment. Spears, who is expected to sing in the film, will play a straight-laced, straight-A high school student who ends up on a cross-country trip with two childhood friends -- one a cheerleader, the other a burnout. Along the way, they meet a young would-be musician who persuades them to go to Los Angeles to compete in a musical contest. Her venture onto the big screen comes about a month after the Random House imprint, Delacorte Press Books for Young Readers, announced that it would publish a novel written by Spears and her mother, Lynne. Rights to the story reportedly were acquired in a two-book deal worth more than $1 million. Spears' autobiography, "Heart to Heart," already has sold more than 150,000 copies. Last week, Spears earned two Grammy nominations for her smash album, "Oops! ... I Did It Again," which has sold more than 7.8 million copies, and for the hit title track off that release.

3-4 months?

I posted this in another thread, but no one has replied. I've noticed in this week alone that so many of us are having relationship problems ... primarily those of us that are in relatively new relationships. What is it about the 3-4 months mark? ------------------ Work like you don't need the money, Love like you have never been hurt, Dance like nobody is watching.
23. 'tis the season for brokenhearts and breakups. Seriously, what is it with the 3/4 months mark? ------------------ Work like you don't need the money, Love like you have never been hurt, Dance like nobody is watching.

25. Umm ... what is samba music exactly? Is that the type of music they have at SOB's? If it is, then my only experience with samba music was a night at SOB's when they were giving dancing lessons. My only response to your question though is why not samba and techno? Before Aerosmith and Run DMC, who would have thought rock and rap? ------------------ Work like you don't need the money, Love like you have never been hurt, Dance like nobody is watching.
