  6. please... remember that this is also a benefit for the Twin Towers Fund. This charity was created by Mayor Giuliani to help the families of the uniformed services who lost loved ones on Sept. 11th. Read more about it here on the New York City government site: http://www.nyc.gov/html/em/twintowersfund.html No one is making a profit on this event. All monies after covering costs will be donated. That is why the price is what it is. Again, it will definitely not be over $60 at 4am. Thanks

  9. Cipriani is one of the best Italian restaurants in New York. They actually have serveral locations, and offer a great many services beyond just being a restaurant. You can use their spaces for weddings, banquets, etc. As far as I know, there has never been an event like this though: club music. At most they've probably had concerts and ballroom type dancing. Sasha & Digweed are going to be at the 42nd Streed venue, which I think is the largets. Take a look right here. Click on "42nd Street" on the side bar: http://www.cipriani.com/cipriani/Events/Concerts/concerts.htm Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks!
  10. What exactly do you mean? I listed my reason for why certain dj's are better than others. Technically, Sasha and Digweed are better than Seb Fontaine. I have not yet heard D:Fuse. Stylistically, it is a matter of opinion, and I think Sasha and Digweed are far and away superior. What type of music does D:Fuse play? I was also commenting about how after hearing Oakenfold many times, I can tell he does not put together tight sets. He just drops anthem after anthem, with no direction or journey in his set. Please, don't just call dj's jokes for no reasons. Back up your opinion.
  11. 1) Music Freak: Oakenfold plays anthem after anthem and does not mix. It's not much better than buying "Dance Hits Vol.12: Summer 2001" and throwing it on at home. Digweed, on the other hand, was voted #1 DJ in the world, with Sasha at #2. They have proven their skills with their residency at Twilo. Was Oakenfold offered a residency at Twilo? No. http://www.djmag.com/pages/whats_up.cgi?file=whats_up20011105dj.csv&topic=djs&story=1 Also: Jimmy Van M is an incredible DJ himself. He was the one that brought S&D to the states. He openned for S&D every time they played Twilo. 2) Time: Sasha/Digweed/VanM are spinning from 10pm to 6am. I went to Oakie last year: Emerson rocked it from 10-12, Oakie disappointed from 12:00-1:54, and Emerson banged it out in style till close (almost 4). I must say Emerson played fantastic that night. Oaken was a joke. 3) Dress code: None for either event. However, you may want to spruce up a bit and not candy out for Cipriani's, since it is such a nice venue and it's 21+ 4) Ticket: S&D tix here http://www.cipriani.com/cipriani/Events/Concerts/concerts.htm Both events are come and grab a spot. However, Cipriani's has table service (food and bottle of Grey Goose) all night for $120 Otherwise, there will be bar, etc. at both events. 5) Sound System: They are bringing in a custom sound system. Think Phazon quality. 'Nuff said. 6) Cipriani's is without a doubt one of the most beautiful spaces in NYC. Period. But don't take my word for it. Check out the pics. And remember, there is going to be a special visuals by www.imaginaryforces.com. These guys worked on movies like Mission Impossible, The Mummy, Sphere, etc. Check out Cipriani's here: http://www.cipriani.com/cipriani/Events/Concerts/concerts.htm 7) Most importantly: Cipriani's is a benefit for the Twin Towers Fund. All net proceeds will be donated. All in all, everything points to Cipriani's with Sasha, Digweed, and Jimmy Van M. PM me if you have any more questions. See you at S&D!!!
  12. But I luv White Castle. I know I should never eat it, but I like it. Doh! Dennis"ItwasniceseeingyoulastnightJamms"
  13. is going to be Sasha and Digweed. Their residency at Twilo were legendary, and John Digweed was voted #1 DJ in the world. This is also a benefit event for the Twin Towers Fund. There has never been a party like this inside Cipriani's before, and I'm not sure if there will be again. Check this place out: http://www.cipriani.com/cipriani/Events/Concerts/concerts.htm Here are the details for the party: http://bbs.clubplanet.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=65545 Hope to see you there!
  14. and a cool track as well. That type of music would be downtempo electronical, perhaps even trip hop. You should check out Stereolab and the Starseeds. -Den
  15. Sasha and John Digweed return to New York city with Jimmy Van M They are playing a 21+ event at Cipriani's on 42nd St. It is a beautiful space, and I guarantee this night will be amazing. Check out the venue: http://www.cipriani.com/cipriani/Events/Concerts/concerts.htm Here are the details for the event: http://bbs.clubplanet.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=65545 See ya there!
  16. 1) Is there a dress code? No, there is not a strict dress code. But just this once, I would encourage you not to come as a cracked-out-candy-raver-puddle. Cipriani's is a very nice venue, and their usual events are more formal. You can wear sneakers, baggy pants, or whatever, but please use some discretion. 2) Benefit All net proceeds will go to the Twin Towers Fund. 3) Will Call Tickets You will need to bring a PHOTO ID along with the CREDIT CARD USED FOR PURCHASE of your ticket to the will call window. We will let you know when the will call window will be open as soon as possible. If you have any other questions, please PM me. Thanks! See ya there! Oh, one more thing...Powerbar meetup @ 3am!
  17. Cotoncandydream: I work for the Made Events. For Sasha & Digweed, there is no strict dress code: you do not need a cummerbund robert! Sneakers are definitely ok. Just don't come dressed like a cracked out candy raver puddle and you should be ok. Use your discretion. If you have any other questions feel free to PM me. Thanks
  18. There is NO DRESSCODE for Sasha & Digweed w/Jimmy Van M As you know, this even is 21 and over. This is a very nice and stylish venue, so dressing up a bit is encouraged...but not required. Just remember, the most important thing is to be comfortable and have a good time! Cheers! http://www.ticketweb.com/user/?region=nyc&query=schedule&venue=cipriani

  21. I would have to say, PVD is closer of the two... Come down to Vinyl, I'm sure you will have a bangin' time. Crowd is great. Lotta Twiloheads... -D
  22. Dave Ralph be ending? Is there anyone after him? Thanx... -D
  23. Have you been to the Made parties at Vinyl? The DJ's are the ones that used to play at Twilo...for example, Lee Burridge and Jimmy Van M this Saturday. Jimmy Van M is the guy who brought Sasha and Digweed to the U.S., and he is a great dj himself. Just wonderin... -Den
