i'm going to celebrate my friend's b'day . well, i guess it's silly to have a roll call when i don't know what i'll be wearing yet and can't tell you so you can find me... sigh... i don't have anything to wear . so far, what's winning is my tan chuck norris in silent rage t-shirt and my huge khaki pants. no matter what i wear on top, my pants are always big . bluecenterstar'll be there, too; maybe you'll spot us together. she's the shorter one, but she may be just as tall if she's had a lot of coffee . hope to see some of you guys at red! just a reminder: it's now at the los angeles entertainment center downtown; it's no longer at arena.

one should never, ever go to a giant event without having presales. that's all there is to it. you've got no right to complain if you didn't get presales. a friend of mine who went parked at the lot across from the pantages and paid $7. yes, my friend said the line was ridiculous and disorganized. that sucks. i think the giant peeps really just were unprepared and had forgotten what to expect - but i'm not defending that. it was opening night for avalon , though, so we can only hope that they learned a lot from the night's mistakes .

yeah, the whole "snobby and pretentious" thing doesn't hold with me, either; i've run into very few out here, and i've come across and known buttloads in nyc. they are everywhere; it's all about where you go, luck, etc. i wish i could go to the wmc this winter, though... maybe i'll find a way to get there somehow...

bad boy bill plays some hard, hard, you-can't-fuck-with-this shit; he must be taking it down a WHOLE LOTTA pegs for spundae. i used to see him at raves in nyc a lot, and although there was one other dj somewhat like him - venom - even he didn't come close to the pounding that bill let loose. either bill's changed a lot in a couple of years, or he's just testing out his versatility...

having to drive everywhere was one of the few things that made me rethink the move out here. but there were only a few things to keep me in new york, and i felt that that really wasn't reason enough to stay. i'll tell you, though, the subways and the occasional cab were my caretakers, and i even walked home sometimes. walking after a night out was so lovely every once in a while... but it was just so nice to feel so safe and not have to worry about anything .these days, i'm often the designated driver, or my friends and i keep it simple at clubs and then get inebriated at home. my best friend lives far from me, so i often take him home, stay at his house, and drive home in the morning. but please don't drive drunk . i think a main reason why a lot of clubs have last call at 2 and close at 4 is so that people can sober up a bit before they go home. but stay sober 'cause it's the right thing to do, not hurting yourself or others is always good , and because you WILL get a dui and get your license suspended.
