  1. steve mcqueen (dead at the age of 50) and rock hudson (dead at the age of 60) too young to die. but they left behind a lot of great work and pics to over .
  2. ok, i knew i'd score low on that test, but not that low . that's a really short test, and entirely subjective, of course . it didn't ask me the right questions .
  3. it is good to mind one's posture, especially when sitting down. slouching and getting in the habit of sitting in certain uneven positions can lead to serious back pain and possibly lasting misalignment. (and ending up as a hunchback wouldn't be so great .) tune in tomorrow.
  4. o, and my really-late-night ones can get very sketchy, too ! maybe i need someone to enforce a bedtime, like mom, or uncle sam .
  5. protein is everything the same (pickles and all), except for the bun. the burger is wrapped in lettuce instead, which makes the thing really messy. and jungle is twice all of the vegetable matter: lettuce, tomatoes, onions - and maybe the pickles. and, cholesterol? what's that ?

am i gonna hafta keep bumping this? last time. it's just that you were so anxious for me to answer you.
  7. interesting to note: europeans generally seem to know it right away. (where are you from?)
  8. joking in an ironic fashion . let me also provide a definition of "irony", since i don't seem to know anyone who knows what that means : the use of words to express something other than and especially the opposite of the literal meaning. that's just one use of the word "irony", but the correct one that goes along with "tongue-in-cheek" . all of this is to say that, when i write my "wisdom", i'm not delivering anything i think should be taken as any kind of gospel .
  9. beware of e-mailing & leaving voicemails under the influence / . tune in tomorrow.
  10. a 4x4 would definitely be too much for me; i can't even handle a double-double! but i always get mine animal style . man - i could really go for some right now... too bad the closest one is about a half-hour away . tequiza, do you know about jungle and protein styles, too? i talked about them in another thread recently. i seem to have in-n-out on the brain (no jokes, please ; we already covered those.).
  11. me too !!! funny you should mention that, though. the california dmv handbook states that one should drive with the high-beams on at all times, unless they would disturb other people. that's a judgment call, i guess, though it means that the dmv would generally expect one to use them in less crowded areas. but i think i may have used my high-beams only once or maybe twice in my entire driving career.
  12. it's those eyebrows... i wish i could've found better pictures, but i'm sure you all have seen enough carrot top to last you a lifetime !!!
  13. ohhhhh, mannnnn... i am on the biggest v8 kick right now; the stuff is sooooooo good . it's chock full o' sodium, though. i tried the low sodium version, but i just wanted to put salt in it .
  14. that's my favorite song of theirs !!! i was looking for a job, and then i found a job and heaven knows i'm miserable now ...
  15. i still miss luigi scarpini . anybody remember that old loon ?
  16. depending on other people or a routine can lead to disappointment at the very least and disaster at most. flexibility and some self-reliance are two good things to have in one's arsenal . tune in tomorrow.
  17. and where can i find transcripts of these alleged conversations ?
  18. scary!!! i doze off a lot when i drive ...

    you know how it is...
  20. actually, the place is named as such 'cause it was california's first drive-thru hamburger stand . and part of in-n-out's whole spiel is that everything's fresh: they even cut the potatoes for the fries right in front of you. check out their site, it's pretty cool! http://in-n-out.com/
  21. yes, i said it's not the wire, silly! read my post again; that was the general thing that i do understand. it's a '91 toyota camry, and it's true that mechanics totally take advantage of women. problem is, the guys i know don't know anything about cars, either, and also aren't good bullshitters, either ! there's just no winning in this racket. the guys who messed up my car in the first place last summer are "friends" of my roommate; they certainly weren't friends of mine . some connection .
