did you ever read the reply pm i wrote you a while ago?
  3. it's not an accent problem, mrmatas, it's simply a misunderstanding of phonetics. this is why "hooked on phonics" was invented. let me illustrate: correct: noo-clee-ur "bush" language: noo-cue-lur do you understand now? he puts the "l" in the wrong place. get it? if you still don't, i feel even sorrier for you than i already do for most of this board. most of you guys on this forum personify why america as a whole is deemed ignorant . rejoice, all, for i find this forum entirely repulsive and won't be around much !
  4. don't cave in to all of the extreme conservatives that seem to be ruling this board. i had no idea !!! what's pat buchanan's screenname? has anyone met jesse helms at a meetup yet? i have never seen any evidence of george w. being smarter than my ten-year-old sister. and the burden of proof is on him. and i am ashamed that the president of my country can't pronounce the word "nuclear" - a word which he has chosen to use almost every day. maybe i should invite him over for some "pe-sket-ti" and meatballs and some "cim-ma-ninn" toast in "fe-bu-ary," or we could go to the "li-bary" and check out some of the books in the picture book section.
  5. does it really matter ? all i know is that there are three mugs of a warm, coffee/chocolate-y beverage, and none of them has my name on it. you selfish theives !!!
  6. i posted this on another thread the other day that i think you saw, joeg, but i never mind talking about in-n-out .
  7. red (@ arena on fridays) has a really cool b'day deal: * the b'day girl/boy submits a list, those friends get in for $10 (instead of $20), up to 50 people * all get in vip, where there's a yummy free buffet * all get a free glass of champagne (b'day girl/boy gets 2 ) * a free yummy cake (vanilla 2 layers, vanilla buttercream frosting, strawberries in the middle - not the gooey jam crap, just strawberries and whipped cream, i think ) * and the b'day girl/boy gets in free unbeatable, really . for those wanting a private sort of time, the vip area is great for talking, hanging out, and noshing, before you feel like joing the rest of the party that is red. tables are reserved for you. this does require that reservations be made somewhat in advance, however. my friend did it for his b'day, and we had so much fun (and felt we got such a good deal out of it) that we did it for mine, too . just go to their website at www.nexxez.com and all the info should be under "special announcements" .
  8. some people like to sleep all day. it is nice to not call these people any time before noon . thanks, they really appreciate that . tune in tomorrow.
  9. thanks, elementx . as i said, it's a wire that keeps popping out of its hole that's making it shake. spark-plug-related, i believe; attached to the engine on top, then goes further into the belly of my car... do you know what i'm talking about? i'm assuming that the 3 wires going into 6 ports would have something to do with my car being a v6 ... these mechanics are saying that they'd need to re-thread whatever hole that is, 'cause it's jacked up. i know veeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyy little about cars, as you can tell . but i hafta take it somewhere else anyway; i have no choice. hopefully i'll get a different answer that i like better .

  11. and my friend (let's call her "smokey")'s favorite: dj slingnuts .
  12. tell me about it !!! let me just add that i'm really sick of streets without name signs. what street did i just pass, godammit??????!!!!!!!! i took my car in to get a tune-up and address some issues just a few hours ago. the dude said i'd have to leave it overnight, so i just guessed there must be a way to get from downtown to santa monica by bus and said ok (turns out that there's a bus that's almost door-to-door, but takes an hour and a half instead of my 25 minutes, by car.). when i called back about a half-hour ago, he told me that my spark plug/engine shake issue is a major-machine-shop type operation, and said he couldn't do a job like that properly. than he suggested that i trade it in for another used car. i was flabbergasted . one of my cords keeps popping out of its hole, i thought, what's the big deal about putting it back? "so, how much would this kind of thing cost?" i asked. and he gave me a roundabout figure of $2000. then he said he won't charge me the estimate because he can't do the work. "you can just come get it in the morning," he said. i don't really feel like searching for all of the appropriate smileys right now. i just don't know what to do, besides get a second opinion.
  13. and we all look forward to meeting each other !
  14. are you seriously considering breast implants :( ? if you are, i hope you'll reconsider. i think they're really unattractive to the point of being freakish. natural breasts, no matter what size, always look better. i was talking about women with little boobies and how cool i think they are for not succumbing to all the plastic surgery pressure, just this week, on another thread. i think it's especially classy and shows great character. debra messing and milla jovavich are 2 women who i wouldn't change one bit . and this isn't to say i only like girls with small boobs; i'm straight and a 36D. i just think people generally look good the way nature intended, for the most part (i'm not talking about haircuts, clothing styles, etc. you know what i mean). proportions are a certain way because all the parts fit and look good with themselves. lastly, many look down on the women who get them, only seeing in them hollywood barbie dolls or white trash. that's why the "are they real?" whispers can override the "i'm gonna go over and talk to that girl!" ones. but to sum up, i'm sure your boobies are lovely . let the girls stay on and live their lives as "natural women ."
  15. east coast boogiemen kick ass !!!!!!!!! how many times do i hafta say it??? you guys'd better go, 'cause otherwise i won't meet my jealousy quota for the winter. have a really good time for me!!!!!!!!
  16. well, i'd say that only 1 out of 10 people get it without my having to explain it. i guess it could be interpreted as "we-yes," meaning that "we all" (whoever that is) are a group of positive people, but that's kind of odd . so here i am, to clear up any confusion . it's pronounced "wise," as in wisdom. this is why i have had a series of owls as my avatar . i spell it the way i do because it is: w + eyes it is often - though not always - through observation that one acquires wisdom; that's where the eyes come in. the "wisdom of the day" column on the l.a. board is only titled as such 'cause i'm a tongue-in-cheek kinda gal; i do not profess to be wiser than the rest .
