  1. my roommate wants to download soulseek, but it's no longer at the address where it was when i downloaded it (slsk.org). does anyone know where he can download it?
  2. i'm with you ! are you there to dance, or not? i once saw a girl in platform boots (4-inches, but with a raised heel, as well) do a total wipe out on the dancefloor. not a trip or a stumble, people - she fell flat on her ass. for the next minute or so she tried to sort of move side to side a little, keeping her feet stationary, but then felt too embarrassed to stay where she was, and left the dancefloor .
  3. why is the "guide to giving head" so much longer than the "guide to eating pussy" ? * meaning, why does the guide to pleasing men have so many variations and instructions, and such attention to detail, while the one about pleasing women isn't nearly as creative and doesn't explore nearly as many techniques? food for thought - i'm not here to spout feminist rhetoric to start a war.
  4. what's your source on this, and all of your posts today?
  5. hmmm ... i don't speak "pgiddy"; i didn't get that . if there were a smiley looking at something going over its head, i'd place it here. and vic's down to 709 .
  6. when people come to visit me out here in l.a., they usually say, "let's go out and eat some of that 'l.a. health food,'" as though it's an accurate cliche. i tell them they're either confusing l.a. with san francisco, or they're not, but that's the real truth; fast food dominates l.a. you can get your healthy, sprout-filled sandwiches all over the bay area, but they're not so widespread down here. so, that leads me to the question, which chain do you think has the best burgers ? and make your case. (i personally don't think jack in the box makes any that are worth eating at all, for instance . i'd always order something else.) and this survey is not limited to l.a. dwellers !
  7. i've never been and have heard mixed reviews. i don't even know if it's the name of a night or the name of the place. all i know is that my roommate went there last night and said, verbatim, "i went to 'sugar' - sucks." i asked him what kind of music was played and he just said, "the dj was like a teenager, or something. sucks." can anyone elaborate on what type of music this might have been (the music that's played there on saturdays, or what's played at this club in general - something.)?
  8. o, deee-lite also belongs to that school of thought. i forgot . not the point, though .
  9. reflection, sentimentality, remembrance - all good . dwelling - bad . tune in tomorrow.
  10. when i die, i hope there's room in cyberspace for my remains .
  11. do you actually know people who've done this or have you just heard of it, as well?

    the kiss.

ok, i'll think on that one and get back to you . like starcapone, i haven't had any good kisses with anyone i've been with for any period of time that mattered (the guys i've gone out with have been bad kissers .), so i'll have to see which story would be the best and the truest...

    Flowers...

i'm with marcid and suthrnbelle - i don't know if your ex has romantic associations with flowers or not. for just any girl i'd say it'd be ok, but with an ex i'd say it might be a risk . but, as you said, no roses.
  14. i don't know if you're asking about getting the best friend to come around or how to get the one in whom you're interested to come around, but it seems to me as though you were just talking about her friend. am i right? if so, she's probably just a little territorial (i know that word sounds really horrible when used in reference to a person, but the meaning is the same and i can't think of a better one right now ) about the one you like and is scared of losing time with her. that happens a lot, especially in really close, best friend situations. when two people feel like sisters/brothers, the invading potential boyfriend/girlfriend is often the other friend's enemy at first, even though that friend may not even know the potential bf/gf at all. either the girl you like's friend will come around, or she won't, but you can't spend your time trying to win her approval; she's gotta sort through a lot of her own stuff before she can give you a fair evaluation, and it's not your job to be something you're not to please her. sorry for all those confusing subjects (bf/gf/friend...)! let me know if that wasn't clear, and i'll try to phrase it better .
  15. whoever (besides haddoway ) said you need to define love ? tune in tomorrow.
  16. spundae isn't an afterhours. i forget the links with all the info to l.a. afterhours clubs... lalate has one called www.lalate.com , doesn't he? and there's that one that alex has that's in house4life's sig.

    the kiss.

big ol' letdown, yo. there's all this talk of teabagging, fistfucking, double penetration... can't we talk about kissing, at least every once in a while ?

    who am i...

    ricky martin .
  19. 732 to go . why did you use the angry face for this thread, vic ?
  20. it was weird, it was terrible, it was odd, it was puzzling . i dreamt that all of the cp smileys had been replaced with single frame cartoons, all with little cartoon figures with balloons of speech above their heads. and they were drawn by mugwump (go fig on that one.). they were totally useless as smileys, 'cause they were saying very specific things, like what they had eaten for breakfast. the citizens of cp were left to their (or our) own devices, as far as smileys went, and we were all doomed to a world of more misunderstanding than usual . sketchy.
  21. being quiet for a while - not necessarily in the quiet or alone - can often help one to gain/regain proper perspective on things . tune in tomorrow.
