  1. Front looks like a Lexus and the back is ugly like a Camry... I would have expected much better design/styling especially since they've been using the same style since the 90's. Gotta love the Jetta and Jeep.
  2. Strip clubs 11-21-2004 09:41 AM raincry of miami is a stripper whore, she might know I never read these things, but just fell out of my seat. Who is this girl? I want to take her out to dinner.
  3. I'm not a huge wine connoisseur, but I have tried many reds and personally I stick with the states. I have tried Australian and other regions (ie. Chile) and wasn't too impressed. With that said, I haven't tried French or Italian wines and everyone's taste bud are different. Since I do like Beringer (red caber), I have brought it over for several dinner gatherings and I have yet to hear a complaint (from people that have wine once a year to men that live on wine). Not a bad $15 investment in my opinion. Also - there are two different kinds... regular cabernet and they also have a "Founder's Estate" label. The Founder's Estate is usually $22-$25/bottle. Both taste relatively the same. If you want to show you purchased the "premium" you go with the F.E. Otherwise, you can just pick up the regular $15 bottle.
  4. I've had white a couple times, but Santa Margherita is crap. That's everyone women's favorite wine to mention since odds are it's the only one they've seen (not flaming, just the truth). As for White's - Kendall Jackson has a little more body to the wine as opposed to the Santa M and can be had for the same price. I personally think Santa M feels watered down in your mouth. Both run around $15 give or take a couple pesos. As for Red's, it depends on what type of wine you like... if you prefer something more acidic - Merlot is the way to go. However, that should usually accompany red meat. Chances are since this is Thanksgiving the bird is the primary meat so (although White is for poultry).. the "men" wanting red wine should stick with a Cabernet. More flavor in my opinion depending on the brand. My preferences range from Beringer (on the low end side - $15/bottle avg) to Stag's Leap or Frog's Leap (on the high end - $45/$50 a bottle). I never bother to spend more than $50 since I think it's just a waste. Bottle my ex's father a bottle of Opus One at a wedding a long time back and tried the $300 bottle and it didn't taste like it should cost $250 more...
  5. Hey it was late last night... yes, Smokesum was right I meant a week.

    Strip clubs

In NJ - Stilleto's is pretty good. In NY - Sue's Rondev (whatever the hell) and Mirage (only impartial to this place since my friend bartends there and I was approached by two different girls asking me for a three some later that night). Disclaimer: I hate strip clubs and whores...
  7. Everyone is always looking for the quick fix. You put a lot of hard work and energy into making that gut so exhibit a little patience when trying to get rid of diet. Watch what you eat, do cardio (45 minutes at your target heart rate) at least 4 times a day and you should see good results in a couple months. Of course - 45lbs of gut is not coming off quickly unless you solicit cosmetic assistance.
  8. If you have a classic car and are using it only for "shows" (and minor driving occassions) the liability insurance is a different policy than normal auto coverage. If your current carrier is giving you the run around, then shop with other vendors.
  9. Creatine in tablets? Most people that claimed to benefit from creatine started their "cycle" by loading for a couple days (10 - 20g/day) and then maintaining somewhere in the area of 5grams/day each subsequent day for a number of weeks. With that said, some will argue that creatine does nothing except add water weight to your muscles... but the question at hand is how much creatine is in each tablet? If it is 1g per tablet you will find yourself using many each day... if you get where I am going with this, you will learn that tablets aren't the cheapest method to supplement. Powder form is usually at a fraction of the cost. Benefit with a tab are for the wooses that can handle a shake everyday or that don't have the time to prepare one.
  10. I was just using Gwynn as a reference. I know there were better hitters than him (although he was great and never given as much spotlight as he deserved). Anyway, he is the best "averages" man that I have seen play the game and thats what I am going by. We can pull a hundred names to analyze... and not that Bonds has been blessed with great hitters in his lineup over the years, but Gwynn had practically no one in his lineups EVER to protect him/get him good pitches... with the exception of Co-RoidVP Caminiti. That's why I chose to use Gwynn over many other batters including Edgar M. who had much better lineups to work with... hence usually benefiting the batter.
  11. Take any car and sand it to the bare metal... you have the same result. Polish the metal and spray on a couple coats of clear coat. Sort of like the Delorean...
  12. Question for all you guys... what defines a great hitter? Ability to get good stats across the board? Big rbi's? Making ever pitcher fear you? I seriously think Tony Gwynn is (should I say was) a better hitter than Bonds. Yes, he didn't hit for power and he didn't drive in runs... he just hit the ball... that's a hitter in my book. And there is no question on whether Bonds juiced or not. A normal man loses muscle every year around turning 30 (give or take a couple years). No way can he be as jacked in his 40's without his testosterone levels being off the wall... prohormones?... Hmmmn. I just can't carry his same value or almost any guy these days and compare them to the guys back in the day... those guys never had the luxury of the performance market available today.
  13. Those guys were all naturally born with an arm... Clemens and Shilling spend lots of the time in the gym, but it's not to put on muscle. It's to keep in excellent shape - they are naturally "big" guys. I wouldn't say pound for pound clemens has near a body of Bonds. Bartolo is big and throws hard. And the reason for Clemen's consistency lately is his training regime... at an older age you can compete with young guns if you stay in shape and train hard... something Patrick Ewing never did and that's why I now hate him. His body always looked like shit... even when he was 30.
  14. The purpose of using steroids is to build muscle. Unless the guy is absolutely a thin rail, I don't understand how roids can benefit a pitcher - they need to be loose, not tight and muscular. Bulking up isn't going to necessarily make a pitcher throw harder... Randy Johnson. You don't see many pitchers out there with the physique of a bodybuilder. I don't see it... What's your view?
  15. I will not argue hand eye coordination to a hitter as being the key element, but why is "intimidation" overlooked? No one can say that steroids does not have a quantifiable impact on stats with the exception of distance of the ball. Take the well known Caminiti and look at his number before and during steroids... the guy was like a .260 batter and turned into a .300 batter over night. The fact that you hit the ball HARDER, not just further will make 1. the infielder's job much more difficult in stopping balls, 2. will make you produce alot more line drives as opposed to fly balls, and arguement 3. was already stated with regards to balls carrying over the wall. We won't even get into the fact that pitchers are going to throw the ball around and off the plate... you are ahead of the count more times than not and you now have a better chance at picking your pitches to swing at. I won't discredit Bonds 100% - he is still a good hitter... is he a great hitter with "great hand eye coordination?" - I would rather call up the name Gwynn instead.
  16. I say let his ass fight. I have been dieing to see wheelchair boxing and after another couple years of boxing (if that long), Evander will become the pioneer of this sport.
  17. "Damn the heavens above for giving him that growth on the tip... there no way this thing is gonna fit in my ass now"
  18. Fuck I think I sound like that lately... I need to change.
  19. Gymboree pants are known to shrink in the dryer. Try air dry next time.
  20. So he averages about 190 posts/month and you average 173... don't know why I wasted my time (bored at work), but the differential is nothing...
  21. 1. She needs to tell me she doesn't have diarreha... 2. She needs to be on her stomach to allow the initial input to go smooth... 3. Lube... 4. She can't get me mad otherwise it won't be enjoyable... for her.
  22. Don't the both of you have 7k post counts...
  23. I think you are questioning which sub would give you the sound you are looking for... wrong way to look at it. Number of subs isn't as important as the type of enclosure you use and application. 1. Sealed boxes are good for tight, hard bass... problem with this setup is that you usually need to drive the subs with more power since the box setup isn't as efficient. Additionally since you have a hatch, I would probably avoid a sealed box since it would hit hard and would rattle your rear hatch (depending on how old your car is). If the weather stripping is good and you have a tight seal this may not be as much of a problem. 2. Vented/Bandpass boxes... usually more efficient than sealed. Rather than rehash a discussion, I will just tell you a real life experience. I used to be heavy into car stereos/installs five years ago. At the time I had an explorer with a 1,500 watt system. Including in the layout was a sealed box with two twelve inch RF subs capable of 400watts rms. I thought at the time that the system was unabelievable and used to drive around with my rear hatch window opened due to the sound pressure. Fast forward a number of years and I have a small system in my Mustang (I'm more speed than sound). But I installed a 10" bandpass box and was very happy with the results. Just this past week I built a custom vented box for a 12" Infinity VQ sub that I picked up for my new civic. I never went the ported/vented route since my first car (Taurus)... but I still can't believe the sound coming from this thing. Equal balance of hard and soft bass. Of course, your problem of bass can be adjusted directly to your tailoring with the addition of an equalizer to your setup. With that said - my current civic setup (pushing only 500 watts rms Infinity sub included) is definitely much more spl than two RF 12"s that I had earlier. There are a ton of subs out there and tons of setups (in addition to free air subs) that you can get away with in your hatch using the wheel well area... PS - in a hatch (in my opinion), bass usually never sounds as good as a car with a trunk. Some cars have proved me wrong though. If you have specific questions... shoot em.
