I had been coming to this website for almost two years before I realized there was a messageboard. I'd just come here to get info on clubs. About 3 months ago I was really bored at work and I went to CP and randomly clicked on messageboards. All I did was read for a week or two and then I signed up...it's been no good ever since. This is all I do when I'm at work. I don't pay attention to what I'm doing, I've been fucking things up in my office, I get mad when people actually give me work to do, and they'd have no reason not to fire my ass. But ya know what? My friend would play songs she had heard at Sound Factory for me when they'd come on the radio or on a tape a friend had made. I'd like the songs and everything but the first time I went to Sound Factory, I couldn't get off of the dancefloor. I didn't want to stop dancing. It was like nothing I had experienced before. Crap, I don't think my first post posted. Sorry if this comes up twice but I wanted to say: How very "Footloose" of them! Curbing electronic music scene?!?! WTF is that? I understand that E is illegal and everytime we purchase one of the glorious little pills, we're committing a crime but there are tons more alcohol related incidents than those related to E!! So maybe they should just ban music in clubs and bars all together! People go out and drink themselves into a stupor when listening to rock, pop, R&B, hip hop, country, jazz...you name it, people drink to it! Granted, electic and E do have some relation but one doesn't necessarily have to be correlated with the other. It's not fair to say that if someone is listening to house or trance that they're on E. Articles like this make me so mad...especially when they're in newspapers my parents read! I'm just glad that I don't live in Texas! ------------------ You're only young once
