  1. Jesus, I wish I could cook. I tried making tacos tonight and even fucked those up. I couldn't even finish them, they were so nasty.

At least I'm getting fed a few times a week, though. These girls that come to see me DJ have been inviting me over to their homes or coming over to my apt and cooking me dinner and shit. One girl even washed my dishes. I don't know if they've got any hidden agendas or not since they all know that my g/f is in Europe for the next five months, but I'm not gonna refuse a good meal since I can't even make toast.

And what would typical German mentality be? Please share.

  3. That'd be cool if you guys wanted to have a meetup there. I can get everyone discount cards so it's only $5 admission, plus the cards get you discounts at a number of NYC fetish/club gear stores if you actually wanted to dress up for it. But either way, there's no dress code, so it doesn't matter what you wear. We get all types.

That shitty LI party downstairs didn't even last for a second week, so we've got some better parties sharing the space with us now.

On 2/15, Long Black Veil will be holding their 5th year anniversary and reunion party downstairs. For those that don't know, LBV was a weekly party that used to be held at Mother when it was still open, so you know you'll be seeing some... how shall I say... eccentric people at this party. DJs Ian Fford, Delchi, Lestat and others will be reuniting downstairs for LBV, and Rexx Arkana and myself will be spinning the hard shit upstairs for the Fun House party.

Or if you guys wanted to have the meetup in March, the 8th would be the best night to come since we'll be having the six year anniversary of Vesago which is going to be a one time event as well as a very intense party. DJ lineup for this party on two levels will be:

    Dräcos (Subsurface, Fun House)

    Rexx Arkana (RazorBurn, Fun House)

    Hellraver (Downtime, :system:]

    DJ Red (from Portland)

    DJ Schmitty (from Philly)

    Dr. Octo-Pussy (Vesago)

    with:

    ·video projections by dennydaniel.com

·video installations by the Smack Video Lab

·props and design by The Futurist Coalition

·Alien Blacklite art display by Soinge Deluxe

    ·Fire Fan Dancing by Jade

    ·plus many more special performances

Cool, if you stop by, use the Fun House entrance up the outside stairs to the right of the street level entrance. They're charging more for their party downstairs, but once you're inside you have access to both parties. Just tell the girl at the door that you're there to see Dräcos and she'll only charge you $5 a piece.

  5. I'm not really a moaner, I do more of this growl/snarl kinda thing. Past flings have said that it's like fuckin a beast which they seemed to enjoy. Especially when I'm biting their neck and growling in this low, guttural tone in their ear.

  6. You already know my answer to this question. Fuckin FUN HOUSE. This week, Absolution will be bringing in their 15 DJs to play on the lower level. And upstairs will be me and Rexx Arkana spinnin the hard shit, as well as guest DJ, Nils Ödlund, from Sweden.

    oh, and we're 18+ ;)

  7. We had Darryl Hell as our guest DJ last week for Fun House. His style was definitely impressive to watch, but it was a little awkward for most people to dance to. It was like a blend of big distorted breakbeats and industrial turntablism. My jaw was on the floor watching him scratch these demented beats, but I've always felt that style is more fun to watch than trying to dance to, so I don't know if that sound will ever get much recognition other than at DJ battles.

  8. For the music, I usually spin some schranz style techno, industrial dance, and then build it up into some mid-tempo gabber/hardcore towards the end of the night. Rexx usually plays a trancier style of industrial, and then we usually have a guest DJ play from mid-1am every week. Last week's guest DJ was Darryl Hell who played a sick set of drum-n-bass, breakcore, and industrial turntablism.

As for people sticking out in the crowd, it's really not even an issue because the people are very friendly at this party and no one's treated any different for not dressing up. We get all types in there including regular looking college kids who appreciate the 'eye-candy' and the good music. But if you're still worried about sticking out, then basic black is always good to wear to blend in. Hell, I just usually wear a black t-shirt and black cargos every week.

Actually, she's got an Australian accent. That's about all I know about her, though, besides that she's cute and mad cool to talk to.

  11. I fuckin love Soul Slinger. Sounded like a great party. We had Darryl Hell as our guest DJ last night for Fun House. That guy is a fuckin demon on the decks. It was like a mix of breakcore and industrial turntablism. My jaw was on the floor watching him. It even inspired me to incorpate some old chemical breaks into my future sets. Breaks aren't dead. They're just waitin in the shadows for everyone to get sick of shitty-house-music-with-a-wannabe-diva-wailing-like-a-stuck-pig to get played out.

  12. lol

My first pair of decks were Geminis. They were alright for starting out on, and then I eventually sold them and bought Technics. But I'm still glad I started out that way. Learning on decks that don't have enough torque and don't maintain the same speed help you perfect your skills, and then when you get Techincs you can focus more on creative mixing.

  13. LOL

What'd ya expect with that trendy shit? My night was fuckin great at Fun House. People came out in some serious numbers last night for our party, and the DJs didn't disappoint.

We had Darryl Hell as our guest DJ last night and my fuckin jaw was on the floor. This guy is a wizard on the turntables, and he was playing a blend of breakcore, d-n-b, and industrial turntablism. People were definitely liking the hard shit last night. It was the first time I've ever gotten a request to play my breakbeat remix of Ministry's "NWO".

Plus we got a sick lineup for the coming weeks, so this party can only get bigger. Absolution, Long Black Veil, Electra-City and Vesago are all gonna be sharing the club space with us this month, and guaranteed, you won't be hearing any vocal house at our shit. :D
