  1. I'm old as the hills and only 9 or 10 of these applied to me. But this one happened about 10 years ago and was really disturbing. I think i just have wack relatives: 11. Older relatives feel comfortable telling sex jokes around you.
  2. sorta a recap but i think that: - age in and of itself means nothing - time (and thus age) gives you the opportunity to gain experience - where you are and who are are and what you do shapes that experience - what you gain from that experience will vary from person to person depending on personality, intelligence, interaction, etc. - without experience you can be perceptive and intuitive but not savvy or mature about something mikey - you made perfect sense
  3. Lav - we're on this one aren't we? what up pete?
  4. Gandalf doesn't fight because he is prohibited from doing so, not because of choice. When the 5 wizards came to middlearth they were sent to advise and guide and were prohibitted to use force to do it.
  5. So much misinformation here regarding Gandalf As gandalf the grey - Saruman bests him - he defeats but doesn't kill the balrog which then falls into the chasm...gandalf gets pulled in after him. - later he kills the balrog and throws him down the mountain side BEFORE he becomes the white. As the white - saruman is much reduced and they have a contest of wills, not a battle. - at helps deep he doesn't really fight - he gathers up and army and brings them to the other's aid In fact, he never actually fights against anyone from that piont on he simply advices and sorta coerces people (which is all he's supposed to do) btw Carl - JRR on several occasions denied that there was any connection to the Bible or to WWII in his books. (I actually got to study this shit in school for a while) As for who would win - in a sword fight Yoda. But in terms of a battle of wills i think gandalf. Yoda actually underestimates his openents time and time again... -
  6. i didn't let her hang over the bar stools like she usually does
  7. funny you should mention that... on the train this morning she asked: "Did I get hit in the face last night? Cause it sure feels like i did." I said no but my recollection may not be 100% reliable...and its hard to keep a Menace under control at all times.
  8. yes... we actually got to chill with Pete S while he interviewed Nigel for the Wednesday Show Music was kicking
  9. I suppose that this is really all my fault... but i'll never tell anyone exactly what transpired last night. Lav's legend is big enough
  10. quality not quantity baby! i used to post here a lot, specifically about ass..lol back in the days before the very first shagfest...<sigh>
  11. damn double post!
  12. my girl is always IM'ing me with that smiley with the tongue sticking out. now i know what the tongue is for (what up kidz?)
  13. That is MAD cool. "Take me to Detroit" - Kentucky Fried Movie Anyone remember that Fist Full of Yen skit where the worst possible punishment was getting sent to Detroit? no? just me being old agian
  14. It's good to see something like this in print. As for fights in the typical NYC clubs - I think they happen more frequently than you think...they are either over really quick, bouncers toss them outside and its done there, or never develops into a true fight. What we don't see is the bottles problem so much - you can't even get a bottle in most clubs here.
  15. Its ok...u still look older than her btw...lets get some Men at Work going here
  16. Its a beautiful thing...we should have made a play date and gone together. btw...the ladies working the polling center are retired cafeteria aids and shit from back in my youthful, less "damnit, where's my bifocals" days
  17. i sure do! i always wanted to go sit out in a patch of giant sunflowers and smoke sum up like the hostess's did and start talking to them....dreams of youth. but you know what, i'm still all for sitting out in the sunflowers and smokin sum up
  18. I can't wear contacts all the time - pretty much only when i'm going out. And, cause i've got pretty bad astigmatism they are mad pricey. Been thinking about this for a while but been waiting even though some friends had good results. The results have been less good for people with astigmatism so i'm wondering: dp80: hook us up with your doctor's info kid!
  19. so i guess just the 3 of us are that old...dag
  20. I voted first thing this morning - 12th person in my polling station (wish i was sleeping) I feel this way about voting - if you don't vote, don't complain when you don't like the shit that's going on. Me personally - i HATE Pataki, but i basically concede that he's gonna win so i voted for Galusano (sp) cause he's for legalizing pot (at least for medical uses) and that's a good start. Otherwise, i voted up in Westchester so much of the stuff is probably different. One way to do it (if you vote pro or anti women's right to choose) is vote for or AGAINST everyone on the Right To Life Party line. 90% plus of the time the people on the Right to Life party line match up with the republican for the position. I won't vote for anyone who is Right to Life so that helps me out. pete
  21. Rob - nice bouncing with you for that last track DJ Jon and Xpander both right on the money - awesome incredible night for all those reasons and yeah, PVD's sets are different. Mostly for me in the atmosphere - i used to feel like he took you on a journey...now i feel more like he's just putting tracks together cause they've become harder and less mood setting in a way (for me) Anyways - great seeing many of you. P
