I fail to see how the amount of time you've been listening to rap and/or hip hop makes Eminem less of a prick. Anyway, I see we're not making any progress here, and the weekend has landed... Have a great Labor Day weekend, everyone!!!! :)

I'm not saying clubbers DON'T do drugs. I'm saying that people who listen to ALL kinds of music do drugs. But this argument is about the artists, not the listeners, so moving right along... I might not read The Source, but I do know what kind of hip-hop I like, and my opinion about Eminem stands. He's a TALENTED but completely misguided individual. I give credit where credit's due, but NO MORE than is due...

I have his first two albums and used to listen to them religiously. The hate got old. Really old.

Well, techno and house certainly don't make over attempts to express violence, sexism, and homophobia, so I'm not quite sure what you're getting at! And people will choose to get fucked up to ALL types of music, so that point is irrelevant...

It's not about what drugs they're doing, it's about the values that they promote and the way they treat others. If DT got on the mic and instead of complaining about the sound system started boasting about how he "put that bitch in her place last night" or something to that effect, you can BET he'd lose my respect INSTANTLY.

It doesn't have to be either extreme. I never listened to hip-hop back in its "heyday," but I have definitely noticed a change from the early-to-mid nineties to today. I don't remember everything I heard on the radio being about "pimps and broads, menage-Ã -trois" or raping your mom or beating the shit out of your girlfriend or designer drugs. Somewhere between fuzzy bunny rabbits and bling bling lies the truth... and that's what I want to hear from hip-hop. Hip-hop used to be a musical art form that rappers used to express their feelings about life, about society, about growing up, about love and friendship and injustice and having fun. Do you think that's still the case?

Well, I don't care what ANYBODY in the industry thinks of him... my opinions are my own. Dr. Dre has openly admitted that he doesn't endorse the lifestyle he raps about, but keeps doing it because it's the only way he's able to make money in the industry (does anybody else remember his failed attempt at a "clean" label?)... So Eminem fits right in... in a sex-hate-and-violence driven industry that's lost whatever soul and meaningful culture it once had. Yet again, my 2 cents. *dons flame-retardant suit*

Unfortunately, I don't think most men have "flow." I'm pretty sure I'd look damn klunky in a kilt/skirt/whatever... :|

I'm having trouble seeing the benefits. Is it the ability to pay when you're low on cash? Install an ATM. Is it the soap dispenser? Doesn't the soap go in at the beginning anyway? Is it the email notification? If you can't remember how long the wash cycle runs for, you don't belong in college! Is it the theft-protection for owners? The machines in my college used swipe-cards that you had to keep a balance on. Somebody please explain this one to me...
