  1. I don't know how badly your ex neglected you, so I won't say that you're wrong in this particular case, but... on a general note... Women should understand that they are not the center of the universe. I can't stand a woman who won't let me pursue my hobbies because she feels she's being "neglected." People need room to grow OUTSIDE the relationship, too! Again, tastyt, this isn't about your particular situation -- just a pet peeve of mine...
  2. Yup, I had those cars that raced around on tracks too! I made mine go so fast they burned out... :)
  3. Micro Machines!!!! My friends always had cooler ones than me though... the coolest one I ever had was the red Lambourghini...

  6. Just off the top of my head: The brain is the physical organ, the mind is the sum of the functions that the brain performs.
  7. hahaha... yeah, they rocked! Today's kids are so spoiled, they'd never touch something that simple! (God, I sound like an old man...) I never had any game consoles, but I did have a Commodore 64! Took like half an hour to load programs... a friend of mine had the Terminator game for C64, and if you died, you had to wait ANOTHER half hour for the level to restart!

  9. Nope, and I'm not even gonna try... having access to this site is bad enough already... :\
  10. I had the Bo Jackson baseball/football game... depending on which way you flipped the toy. Man, I kicked that game's ass!
  11. Remember those games that looked like video games, with a steering wheel? The picture of the road scrolled in the background, and when you turned the wheel, the car moved left or right... I never did understand the point of that one.
  12. EXACTLY!!! I would be at that protest if I could... :( LM: I think people tend to ignore stickys... I bet this thread would get more views if it weren't sticky -- and we could bump it if it ever got off the front page.
  13. Oh yeah, I forgot about that! (Though I don't remember his specific words personally.) I absolutely agree. I don't understand the dogma that some people have over vinyl.

    Why do guys

What did he say? I never call out to girls... if I want to talk to a girl, I'll approach her and TALK to her... simple as that.
  15. Of course. *slaps forehead* Good point. I guess I don't fear opening myself up like that (or rather, not much -- of course there's a little of that) because I know from experience that time heals the wounds and you come out of it a wiser, stronger person. That's my attitude about it, anyway.
  16. Damn... that sucks. Consider yourself lucky, though -- my scarring (from toxoplasmosis) is on the retina... currently untreatable... :\ Reading this thread is making my eye feel dry! *puts drops in eye*
  17. Can you explain what you mean by "too good?" I find it *easier* to stay in good situations because I've had bad situations and I'm relieved -- not scared -- when I find a good one...
  18. I love how those of us who have jobs -- the fully productive raver types that lawmakers want to pretend don't exist -- can't possibly make it out for this...

  20. I've had the same contact (just one, I'm blind in one eye) for years now. If I keep hydrated, it's not a problem at all -- they don't bother me constantly like they do some people, and I like not having to worry about buying new ones. Besides, it sounds like plenty of people have problems with dry contacts, regardless of the type.
  21. music dancing love fitness (just getting back into this one... finally...) learning (on my own terms -- academia doesn't do it for me) I can be passionate about my work when I'm really challenged and inspired... not as often as I'd like.
  22. That makes sense. It sounds like he appreciates some of the features of CDJs, too, which he might want to use occasionally but not all the time. I guess the main point is that some very famous DJs use CDs frequently, and there's nothing inherently *wrong* with them... but I think most people in this thread will agree on that point anyway.
  23. I think I'm the only person I know who wears hard contacts. They do dry out occasionally, and I get a horrible headache from it that shoots down the back of my neck... :(
  24. Nope... I'm a tenacious motherfucker. To a fault, perhaps. But for those who do run... why do you think you do it?
