I was a heavy user for 17 years started at 13 and stopped at 30- drinking,druging the whole works. I've been clean and sober for over a year and I'll tell you exactly how I did.
I stopped drinking and drugging ALL TOGETHER. I started going to AA and NA meetings, and I started listening to what they had to say to me. And then I started doing what they told me to do.
If AA and NA aren't for you - then keep fucking using. You'll die soon enough. For me, to drink is to die - but only after a long a miserable tormented life.
Some people can quit without using AA or NA, but I can't. I tried it. I could always 3,4,sometimes 6 months without using but the misery was incredible. Call the local AA intergroup in your area, they can set you up with some local meetings.
If you are serious about quiting, and are willing to go to any length, then PM me, we can talk.

The smartest state in the union for the second consecutive year is Massachusetts. The dumbest, for the third year in a row, is New Mexico.

These are the findings of the Education State Rankings, a survey by Morgan Quitno Press of hundreds of public school systems in all 50 states. States were graded on a variety of factors based on how they compare to the national average. These included such positive attributes as per-pupil expenditures, public high school graduation rates, average class size, student reading and math proficiency, and pupil-teacher ratios. States received negative points for high drop-out rates and physical violence.

it def depends on circumstance. a lot of times rape is really violent and unexpected. but on the other hand, sometimes if is kid who doesnt really understand sex is raped by someone they trust, they might like it because its not rough and its made out to be something good and fun and secret.

Those poor guys are over there with little or no entertainment. The #1 thing they are asking for is video games. At my office we are sending one box a month to a unit over there and filling it up with magazines that young guys like, books, video games they request, etc. We sent a box of footballs and basketballs, etc.
They are also asking a lot for babywipes, etc.
We owe those guys anything we can do for them and more people should get involved. You can find soldiers with needs at www.booksforsoldiers.com.
