  3. Steven yo wassup. Funk & Justin if u all going to nyc let me know, might have 1 extra ticket, not sure yet.
  4. Got tickets to the the show in NYC, KROCK had a presale. One of my favorite bands and since they dont tour very often, it was worth the distance. If you are a NO fan "Waiting for the Sirens call" is a good cd imo. Similar to Get Ready.
  5. got 108 row 18 3, 4 actually wanted floor, but missed em. U2's is one of the few bands I think is worth the $. They put on a great show. It would be great if we had a radio station that offered pre-sales like Krock in NYC
  6. Best thing to do prob for any concert you want to go to is to join the bands fan club. Joining u2's fan club was well worth the 40 bucks, I was able to avoid all the usual ticket drama and got 2 great seats.
  7. "Sucias" and of course there was answer record Sucios.

  11. I had a great nite yesterday. It felt like a family reunion. Get seeing old faces and meeting some new very cool people. Every DJ kicked ass. From Domingo "the barefoot DJ" all the way to Senor V the music was fantastic...from house to Trance there was something for everyone, the Doors bootleg at the end was a perfect way to end the nite. Bling-great meeting you, was going to ask for an autograph but didnt want to interupt you enjoying the music Jackie-great catching up, good luck with the project car and the djing Crazy-great meeting you, glad to know I'm not the only crazy person in insurance. Happy Bday Jesse looked like you were enjoyin it. Ramon u missed a good party..but Im sure Detriot was wicked. Everyone who showed up, supported, danced and enjoyed the nite...you energy is contagious...I will have a new mixed cd shortly. peace David

  13. I think it is very hard to quantify American culture, because American culture by its very nature is made up of bits and pieces of so many other cultures (melting pot). We dont have one huge majority race, religion, ..etc, etc, also by its size and geography we have many opinions and idea on what makes up American culture. But its visible and influential. I do agree that we as the American society have a huge influence on other cultures...our music, movies,..etc our artists are still relevant in shaping the American culture. Trust me, we dont own the rights to Materialism, every society has its materialistic elements. I respect Junior as a producer/dj, but give me my hot dogs and bugers over fish and chips any day
  14. Chilli Pepper on Washington was always a good place for rock and alt on the beach. I hope both places do well, we need more options.
  15. May 4-6, Tickets are $38-43 and are selling out. I will be at the 7:30 Thursday show
  16. "Listen up yall cause this is it, forget that old dance and Throw that D"
  17. Damm that would be great! I think I have one or 2. I'll pm u later with my info. I like the fact that djs back then played all kinds of music, not stick to the same sound, same bpm for 4 hours.
  18. Even though this thread been kinda jacked, I like it. Pump that Bass, Pretty Girls...growing up all the stuff mentioned was my soundtrack..Rhythm 98 was such a good station..a lil house, freestyle, electro, they played everthing... As to the orginal question, been djing since 92
  19. so for those who got to play with it would u say it beats the pioneer? April cant come fast enough D
  20. yo bro....every relationship encounter is an opportunity to learn...the key is to LEARN so that next time you wont make the same mistakes...you'll make new ones.. It hurts like hell but the pain subsides...trust me..sometimes you got to feel the shitty sides of love, like rejection to really appriciate to the good. Falling in love or even like is a risk, you put yourself outthere open your heart but it might not be returned in kind...but u gotta take that chance. It really is a numbers game...the more times you date, it might not work, but the learning gets you closer to getting one that will. Ive expirenced that greatest and the worst of love all in the same releastionship....its still worth the risk.. Do what you like...hit the gym, party at Space..whatever..sooner or later the right pigeon will come.. D
  21. the new season is great!! Scarry thing is I was showing some people the Rick James skit and they didnt know who Rick James was! How Sad..
  22. watched conan back in the days...I miss oldie olson, andy and his "year 2000" bit...love triumph...his star wars premier bit was classic d
  23. my cd collection is very eclectic..the question for me would be what I dont like...which is low grade, poorly created pop. Jazz in any and all forms, new, old acid, Classic rock...led, floyd, mac most Hip Hop- new, old old school Bass Retro, disco, freestyle, electro...mostly anything created in the 80s'...DM, New Order, Erasure, PSB Kraftwerk, Front 242, early-mid Ministry,Meat Beat some other industrial Dub, Reggae, and some dancehall...Marley, Tosh, buju..etc jazzy d&b... not a huge fan of country...cash and rogers..and a couple of others Buffet U2 there's more..but give u an idea..,not a big fan of the Idol created acts..but to each their own...I do think Ruben is good, I like r&b as well
  24. old school hip hop was the best! Yo MTV raps and the Box. Erick B and Rakim's first 2 albums were the funk, Paid, Mike fiend, I know you got soul...etc PE's first 3 albums as well...rap with a message... Every Beastie album Tribe..lost my wallet, and scenario anything off luke's label when it was called skywalker. anything off def jam's during the first ten years... LL, Cube still rocks, and 'Hill of couse.. to quest...the song is with Mario Wyanians.. peace D
