Just the same way, there are plenty of other guys who don't deserve to be all-stars who are up there, but will get voted in (Ichiro, Jorge Posada, Piazza), or are just the best player on a really crappy team (Mike Maroth, Adam Eaton, Jerry Hairston). Also, I really don't think there's any deserving NL 3B this year, so I'm guessing that Rolen will get voted in, and then Helton will play 3B (his old position) when they decide to change things up... BTW, Vance WIlson is probably only the 2rd best player named Wilson this year.....lemme check his line this year... Gimme a break...maybe if he continues on that pace once Piazza in moved to 1B, he has a shot. Still, unless Marlins fans suddenly start voting for the All-Star Game more than Mets fans, and Ivan breaks out so hardcore that people have to notice, and people actually pay attention enough to notice that Piazza is no longer a catcher, he'll be the catcher. That's a lot of ifs...

Because Piazza will get voted in by the fans and Kendall is batting 35 points higher than Rodriguez. Rodriguez could easily make it in over Kendall, but Piazza being the fan selection is a no-brainer. Mike Matheny could also end up being the NL backup for catcher, but there's still a couple months until the all-star game, and the backups aren't selected until then, so I'm taking a gamble that Rodriguez will get injured (again) before the All-Star break.

This is gonna sound so fucking lame, but I wish the main DJs came on a little earlier. In most other cities, the night's over by 3; here, the main attraction usually doesn't get behind the decks until 3 or 4. While that might be fine for people who don't have shit to do the next day, know it sure keeps me home a lot lately..... Of course, prices play a role as well. And there's definately too many in-shape guidos fly hoochies running around BTW, if there's this sheep syndrome, then I really need to figure out how to get the herder over to Alibi on Sundays...

BLAH! Just got done taking one of the worst exams of my life, and I have 3 left to go.... Due to my dire situation, I highly doubt I'll be getting out much in the next couple weeks. There are a few decent clubs downtown as well, but it depends on what you're looking for. Factory is a really nice club, but (when I used to live there a few years back) it was hip-hop one night and gay night the other on the weekends. If you're there on a Thursday, go early, hit up Masquerades or Empire for $5 all you can drink, get shitfaced, then go to Prana or Amphitheatre or some other better club. Just a warning however: If you're looking for house music, you won't find it. All the clubs are either hip-hop or Fl Breaks...

7'3" Power Forward??? That would set some kind of record...he's a few inches shorter than Yao, but bigger around.....he's about Sabonis' size... He doesn't have experience like Yao did since he's just finishing up High School now (though he plays for the Korean national team). Just funny to pictures of him in the game where he's the tallest (and youngest) guy there by like a foot....

The prime slots are still the same (9 - midnight), but last week we started and ended a little later, but everyone had pretty much left by 1:30. This way, if people want to come by earlier they can, you can still come by at the same time to catch the main DJs, and we'll still keep going until everyone leaves! Really, this is only moving the start and end a half-hour back. Either way, we're still tweaking the start and end times a bit; if it worked out better the other way, we can always switch it back

LIGHTNING STRIKES AGAIN!!! Wow....that was one of the best games I'vew seen in a while. Lightning with in the 3rd OT, and Khabibulin makes 60 saves on 61 shots. And of course, my Lightning make it to the second round for the first time ever. New Jersey: watch out....we're on a roll and coming at you!
