  1. Thank God for google FOUND How do I make the background of desktop icon text transparent? Intended For Windows XP Windows 2000 Windows Me Windows 98 Windows 95 If you're using desktop wallpaper, you'll still see a border around your icon captions the same color as your solid background. Here's how to remove that border so that the text looks like it's written right on your wallpaper: Windows XP Open System Properties in Control Panel, choose the Advanced tab, and click Settings in the Performance section. Turn on the Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop option, and click Ok. You can also try MicroAngelo (v5.5 or later), which allows you to change the text color, configure custom icons, and change other aspects of Windows. Another utility of this type is WindowFX. Windows 2000 Obtain and install the Transparent utility. You can also try the "On Display" feature of MicroAngelo for lots of extra features. Windows 95, 98, Me Obtain and install the Disappear utility (4 kb). You'll need VB40032.DLL (381 kb) if you don't already have it. You can also try the "On Display" feature of MicroAngelo for lots of extra features. Note: in all versions of Windows, Microsoft provides no way to change the color of the text under desktop icons, which can make it very difficult to read in some circumstances. In Windows XP, the text has a shadow underneath, but this only goes so far. To change the font, open Display Properties in Control Panel, choose the Appearance tab (then click Advanced in Windows XP only), and choose Icon from the Item menu.
  2. Alright, I changed the background color to the font/text on my desktop short cuts. It used to be transparant with the default windows desktop picture. For some reason I can not change it back to "transparant". "transparant" is not a color option in the desktop properties/settings. I hope someone understands what I'm babling. Someone surprise me and help me out please.

  5. Rouzbeh Delavari - Lalala A: Original Mix B1: Ozgur Can Remix B2: Progresia & Andrew K Remix Rouzbeh Delavari, who already has an impressive discography of releases with Deep Records, Distraekt, 3 Beat Breaks and now announce on the 4th release of Pure Substance, a definite dance floor monster release, LaLaLa. The A side 'Original Mix' is a stunning work of prog-melody-breaks style that will shift your mind into a journey. It builds up gently but consistently up to a lush, chord laden break filled with sparkling melody, the perfect slinga and Lalala. The B1 side features Ozgur Can remix which is a top quality remix! It maintained the original as melody goes but adding more punch filled with more synth and bass action. Less say, this is a guaranteed corkers. The B2 features our own PSR Andrew K, teamed up with Progresia from Sweden, a deep remix that is simply effective. With 3 different mixes to choose from, 'LaLaLa' definitely has something for all floors. An essential release! Sample "A" Here Sample "B" Here

  9. No I don't think they need to change. Remember that the Catholic religion is a belief. If you do not believe in what they stand for then you have the option to not follow the Catholic religion. As for them taking a bigger stand against poverty..........I would think they are one of the biggest to do so right next to the USA. Remember that Catholics believe that if God gives you, you in turn must give to others. I personally remember my Mom going through some hard times here in the states and guess who was here to help educate her kids at no cost? The Catholic church ! Yes I went to private catholic school FOR FREE at an early age of my life. So as for them taking a bigger stand in helping reduce poverty I would have to disagree with you. They do ALLOT already. Can they do better? of course. Everyone can always do better! The reason I asked you what change you want is because I know that the majority of the changes being requested have been because the Vatican has been uncompromising in its opposition to ordaining women, homosexuality and lifting the celibacy requirement for priests. Ratzinger opposed allowing remarried Catholics to receive Communion and told American bishops that it was appropriate to deny Communion to those who support a “manifest grave sin†such as abortion and euthanasia. Those policies will continue under Benedict XVI as they did under JP II. When people say that the Church should change it's way I can only assume that they are referring to what I mentioned above which is why I asked which one in specific you believe in. Remember bro, I was raised a Catholic but I do not practice it on a daily basis. As a matter of fact I live in sin every day but deep down inside I belive what they stand for. "Si Dios te da tu tienes que dar". On another note. That picture above this post is funny !!!!!! They do look alike.
  10. True !!! Most kids where forced to join back then.

  14. I read this article about two weeks ago and really did not pay to much attention to it until I heard our new popes name be announced. Benedict XVI Either the new Pope new this and decided to change his name to coincide with these prophesies of it was a coincidence. http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2005/4/3/180901.shtml (notice the date of this article and keep in mind the date our new pope was elected.) For those of you who can not access the link: Sunday, April 3, 2005 6:01 p.m. EDT Saint's Prophecy: Only Two Popes Remain When the cardinals of the world pick John Paul II's successor, they may well be choosing the next-to-last pope. The pope who then follows this choice in the Chair of St. Peter will be the last pope, and after his reign Rome will be destroyed. Story Continues Below Such has been the prophecy of St. Malachy, an Irish bishop who at his death in 1148 A.D. was discovered to have left behind a prophetic list of all future popes beginning with Pope Celestine II, whose papacy began in 1143 A.D. Malachy included a single line in Latin identifying a characteristic of each pope. Historians say Malachy's prediction – wherein he listed just 112 popes – has been amazingly accurate. According to his list, there are just two more popes after the late John Paul II. Here are the seven last popes as identified from St. Malachy's list: 106. Pius XII 1939 - 1958 Eugenio Pacelli Pastor Angelicus Translated: An Angelic Shepherd 107. John XXIII 1968 - 1963 Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli Pastor Et Natua Translated: Pastor and Mariner 108. Paul VI 1963 - 1978 Giovanni Battista Montini Flos Florum Translated: Flower of Flowers 109. John Paul I 1978 - 1978 Albino Luciani De Medietate Lunae Translated: Of the Half Moon 110. John Paul II 1978 - 2005 Karol Jozef Wojtyla De Labore Solis Translated: From the Toil of the Sun 111. The next pope "Gloria Olivae" Translated: The Glory of the Olive 112. The last pope! "Petrus Romanus" Translated: Peter the Roman Wrote St. Malachy of the last pope: "In extreme persecution, the seat of the Holy Roman Church will be occupied by Peter the Roman, who will feed the sheep through many tribulations, at the term of which the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the formidable Judge will judge the people. The End." According to his biographer St. Bernard of Clairvaux, in his book "Life of Saint Malachy," the saint was known to have the gift of prophesy and had even predicted the exact day and hour of his own death. Saint Malachy was canonized in 1190 by Pope Clement III. While in Rome in 1139, Saint Malachy is said to have gone into a trance and received a vision in which he foresaw all the popes from the death of Innocent II until the end of time. Afterward he wrote a few words about each pope and gave the manuscript to Pope Innocent II, who is said to have deposited it in Vatican Archives, where it lay forgotten until it was discovered in 1590 and published. At the time, some questioned its authenticity and it has been the subject of debate ever since. The manuscript contains 112 prophecies, which scholars have matched with each of the 110 popes and anti-popes since Innocent II . Here are the prophecies for the most recent popes: Paul VI. The words of the 108th prophecy are "Flos Florum" (Flower of Flowers). The 108th pope after Innocent II was Paul VI (1963-78). His coat of arms included three fleurs-de-lis (iris blossoms). John Paul I. The 109th is "De Medietate Lunae" (Of the Half Moon). The corresponding pope was John Paul I (1978-78), who was born in the diocese of Belluno (beautiful moon) and was baptized Albino Luciani (white light). He became pope on August 26, 1978, when the moon appeared exactly half full. It was in its waning phase. He died the following month, soon after an eclipse of the moon. John Paul II. The 110th is "De Labore Solis" (Of the Solar Eclipse, or From the Toil of the Sun). The corresponding pope was John Paul II (1978-2005). John Paul II was born on May 8, 1920 during an eclipse of the sun. Like the sun, he came out of the East (Poland). Like the sun, he visited countries all around the globe. Today the final two prophecies are yet to be fulfilled: The 111th prophecy is "Gloria Olivae" (The Glory of the Olive). The meaning of the olive is unclear. The Order of Saint Benedict – not St. Malachy – has claimed that this pope will come from its ranks and Saint Benedict himself prophesied that before the end of the world his Order, known also as the Olivetans, will triumphantly lead the Catholic Church in its final fight against evil. The 112th prophecy says, "In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Petrus Romanus (Peter the Roman), who will feed his flock amid many tribulations; after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people. What do you think?
  15. I think he was trying to imply how the Popes father was part of the Nazi party (true story). You will hear allot of people bashing him in these upcoming days for that fact. I have already seen allot of inappropriate front pages commenting about how his father was a Nazi and he is a tough person. He's not tough. He’s just consistent. Remember, he was Pope JP II's “right hand manâ€. These same people who claimed JP2 was “great, well respected, etc..etc..†are not trying to attack the new pope who’s the next best thing when compared to JP2. This new pope is essentially Pope John Paul in a different body. I'm amused at how only Christianity gets attacked. Why not Jews? Muslims, Hindus, etc..? Oh yeah, that’s right, it’s en vogue to bash Christians nowadays. Looks more like a knee jerk reaction rooted in fear more than anything else. For that I’m grateful! I rather the “haters†fear because it reminds me that they ARE NOT running the show! THANK GOD! I can only assume we’ll be seeing a steady and constant barrage of attacks on this pope and Christianity (in general) for the next several months. And for what? Being pro life and anti gay? If so? Why single out Christians? Jews and Muslims are not pro death and pro homo…… Just my thoughts. Shame to see all this Pope bashing and I am not talking about CP people. Just what I have read in these past days from International Headlines. Peace, OBBY
